The realm of dragons (2)

[ Seraphina's POV ]

Two lizard people walked behind me, but then they started leading the way. Did they forget I was a suspicious person? It seems that Kiera was right when she said they were not very smart.

I only hoped they were smart enough to take me to their boss because I had no idea how to reach Graike, and these two were too low-ranked to have such access.

The two of them hummed and I focused mightily until I started making out the words.

- In the heart of the arid dunes,

- Dragon folk tread the sun-kissed sands,

- Guarding the ancient crypts while wondering where we stand…

- Legends are etched in our scales, stories of glory,

- Forgotten languages, our heart craves for bloodline power,

- It belongs to us, but we have only sorrow…

There was not much melody and the rhyming was flaky, but they were definitely singing.
