Weapon Shop

The two of them get out. The strange house scenery inside quickly changes to the sun shining into the village. Niva does not realize the strange aura of the previous scenery. Felt like conjuring magic.

That was a really strange encounter. Lynel's previously scared face turns solemn. Niva does not really know what is more contributing to Lynel's mood. The fact that his whole operation got caught by the [Soul Reader] or when she successfully agitated Lynel by revealing his past.

Niva is concerned about his friend so he taps Lynel's shoulder. He immediately shrugs it off without looking at the blue haired boy behind him. "Don't worry about me. Focus on how to rescue your compfreund first."

He exhales. "Tell me if you need anything." Niva closes their interaction.

Lynel does not respond.

Niva shrugs silently. Knowing that he already gives expression of concern.

'Take care of him.' The last word uttered by Yerni lingers in the blue haired boy's head. '[Soul Reader]? Is it like a mind reading type of class?'

His mind is still travelling to where his compfreund suddenly felt a really excruciating pain for rejecting him. Niva thought the pain reaction was a myth, after all, compfreund in its nature will always obey its companion. Except when it is nurtured differently. But the latter is not the case for Krilo.

He thought that he said the right word when his compfreund blatantly refused his order. But he also can't deny that his action had indirect consequences to his vanished Krilo. The fact still remains that he will not apologize for something that is not directly caused by him.

To this day, he does not understand why Krilo suddenly in pain at that time.

Lynel's finger briefly points to the store section of the village. Telling Niva that they have to spend the coins.

"Where have you been, you rascal?" The blonde haired boy immediately greeted by the burly middle aged store owner as they hugged each other.

He quickly hides the solemn face. "As usual pops, some businesses here and there to make ends meet."

Lynel's accent changes to another simpler form of West Faroolean. Incorporating many slangs that is rarely used in interaction between upper-middle class and even among the House administrative.

"What's gotten into ya? The neighbor's lass rejected you?" jokes the old man can see through his fake smile.

"Some folks had gone before I extorted for payment." Niva credited Lynel for holding that much temper against a commoner. If Lynel was him, he would cast a death stare towards the old man and run.

'Hanging out with commoners for 5 years really gives you a unique perspective about life.'

"What you got in your old shack, pops?" Lynel gains his composure as he crosses his arms.

The old man quietly stares at the sack of gold on Niva's hand. A valuable material that was created by [Master Alchemist] Van Duren after the beast invasion. Its shining property combined with natural toughness than wood, makes it a potent material for everyday life such as construction material, utensils, and weapons.

The problem is that the amount of gold produced in the transmutation process does cost a lot. But for now, the kingdom only implements the use of gold for currency only. Wood, leaves, rocks are deemed too brittle for the use of the currency in the long run. Further creation of the material hopefully be used to replace the enchanted wood and stones.

"That is some Volvalen you two got there. Come, let's take a look in the shop."

The old man reveals every armament available in the shop. Revealing various enchanted wooden and stone weaponry.

"Just pick what you need. Don't hesitate!"

There are so many displays in one room. All with intricate motives and size. But the difference of the quality lies in the rune enchantment. Even the dullest motive, if it is imbued with a high level enchantment, the value will go up.

It also needs regular service to the weapon shop for re-imbues. The enchantment is not permanent. Usually about once in 4 months that the weapon needs to be serviced back to the weapon. Also it is not free.

"Have you chosen which one?" asks the sour-faced Lynel as he brings a wooden cutlass.

"Yes it's this one." Niva quickly grabs a dagger nearest to him out of desperation for not wanting to make his ugly mood Lynel wait.

"You sure?"

"Yes, I am sure. My strength is currently not optimal to wield a sword," answers Niva as he swings his dagger. The dagger seems heavier than he thought. A portion of his feeling curses the side effect of Compfreund-making.

Niva opens the slate while holding the dagger. In the equipment panel the content displays as follows:

It qualifies the skill check 2 points above the prerequisite points. But he feels some kind of sluggish arm movement. The more that the point he has, the more that his move will be eloquent and inflicts more damage.

Meanwhile if the points do not fulfill the weapon's minimum amount, the user won't be able to optimally do the most basic move like slash and stab.

Niva proceeds to open the growth stats on the next panel to confirm what kind of stats he currently has. It displays as follows:

As a support class, [Bard] really benefits in the [Intellect] stats. It symbolizes a person's mental capability to reach the Upper Realm of The Nature's. Where Its essence is in the most purest form.

The more the [Int] increases, the more the capacity of [EP]. Can be done by class level up, meditating, and to some extent, occasionally enters the Upper Realm.

The incantation that comes from [Bard]'s mouth should be connected with The Nature's essence in the Upper Realm. According to Niva's lecturer in the bard institute, they say that the Essence Points or [EP] is the amount of bargaining price of The Nature's Essence that an individual can get in the Upper Realm. The more Essence points [EP] are used, the more that the incantation power will be unleashed in the output of the incantation.

[Bard] class route is one of the most convenient classes. The weakest fundamental incantation only needs a vocal cord of the [Bard]. But later when advancing class tier, they also need instruments to effectively perform high level incantation.

Niva and Lynel then give the weapons to the weaponmaster. The man then took out a piece of paper under his table. Open his other self above it and took out a seemingly expensive fountain pen.
