Ready Or Not

Dew falls on the sky, making it really difficult to see, as sounds of birds echoes and a deep voice echoes

''He said if he ever died he wanted his body to be burnt, a decision I strongly stood against but we have to honor a dead man wish'' Jeff says as he brings up gasoline and spreads it round the casket which was kept in a small wooden house that could fit the casket

''He once told me that a man with a plan is destined to lose, well we never planned this and yet here we are, losing the battle to death. I never did know what he wanted'' Jeff adds as he paused looking up as he finished his statement then puts his head down a little bit looking at the crowd who gathered as he continues talking

''I guess he just wants to be seen like everyone else'' Jeff says as he walks up to the casket and open up the front as tears rolls down both his eyes as he immediately cleans his cheeks and clears his voice as he closes the casket and lit his match stick as the fire spread around the wooden house which the casket was in

''Err, now to business'' Jeff says as he clears his throat

''Most of you were called to this gathering for this and most for the order of the day, we witnessed one of the most brutal thing anyone could ever imagine, the death of the wife of a great solider and his son as well, and now we need to be as careful as can'' Jeff says

''Now we go on the offensive, we take by force, according to reliable sources close to me, the soldiers who bring in the goods into the city are coming in the next forty-eight hours and we all know that it is heading straight to the king's mansion'' Jeff adds, this time with demonstrations

''Now, I and Zac here have devised a plan to hijack the goods, and we need able hands'' Jeff says as murmuring begins among the people who sat before him as Jeff hears a feminine voice yell, Jeff raised is head father so he could see

''My name is Angelina, and I have a question'' She yelled

''Go on'' Jeff replied

''What reliable sources?'' She asked

''Yes'' The crowd joined in

''We are tired of putting our lives in danger, and I know it is not just me, but I speak for everyone when I say we do not trust you'' She added

''Yes'' The crowd agreed with him as they hailed and wailed

''You went into hiding when our soldiers were at war, and you claim to be our redeemer, when you are yet to redeem yourself, the only thing you have redeemed so far is that thing between your legs, as rumors have it that you have been flocking with a woman who is always on a mask, or has he brought in spies to finish what the king as started'' She added as the crowd went wild, and the hailing and wailing increased

''Okay, I will tell you this, I might not have been at my best, but I went into hiding because my life was in danger'' Jeff was saying as he was interrupted by Angelina

''Bu, butt, but I am here now, and my sources are reliable because I have someone who gives me firsthand information about what happens in the king's mansion'' Jeff replied

''And who might that be'' The crowd murmuring

''The one and only'' Jeff says as he guides Nora to where in stood addressing them because she stood about ten meters from where he stood with a mask on, as the crowd continued murmuring, Nora removed the mask slowly until she had removed it completely

''What'' Zac yelled

''What the'' Blake says as Jerome rushes towards Nora with all his might, as Jeff jumps spearing Jerome with right arm to the ground as dust fills the air as the crowd gets up from their sits as the chairs clusters together, Jerome push Jeff away giving him several punch on his face as Jeff bleeds and Nora tries to hold Jerome back but he pushed her back really hard as she fell hitting her head in the process, as Jeff struggles to raise his hand and eventually does, putting his right hand on Jerome's face as Jerome removes it, Jeff then puts his left hand pushing Jerome's head, then Jeff improvised and stabs Jerome eyes with his finger as Jerome grunts Jeff gets up brings out a knife putting his left hand right in front of Nora as he and Nora moved back slowly

''Stay back'' Jeff yelled as he saw Jerome get up holding his eyes in pain

''You protect the seed of a man who has destroyed what our fathers have built, a man who kills for fun, and you say you are here to save us, how ironic'' Angelina yells

''She is nothing like him, she saved my life, trust me, she could help us'' Jeff replied still holding his knife

''You hurt me because of this girl'' Jerome says

''I am sorry man, but she is the best thing in my life right now'' Jeff replied as he continued walking back slowly

''Jeff'' Blake yelled as Jeff ran off with Nora as the crowd goes wild, and yelling and wailing continues

''Heyy! Heyy! Let's calm down'' Zac yells but the noise continued

''Enough'' Angelina yelled as the crowd concord almost immediately

''Thank you'' Zac says to Angelina

''Yeah'' Angelina replied with a fake smile

''I know how prohibitive the circumstance is, the improbable can come to fruit, margins for error right now are now palpable no matter how unlikely the situation, we need to get to an impregnable position'' Zac says

''You just have to trust me, trust my team'' Zac says as he looks as Blake and Jerome

''We lost a great solider few months back, and there is one thing he said to me that I always keep to heart, we will live forever, or we die trying'' Zac adds

''Who is with me'' He yells as he raises his left hand up and the crowd follows

''Thank you, you may now go'' Zac says as they left one after the other

''You need to check up on Jeff'' Zac whispered into Blake ear

''Okay'' Blake says as he leaves

''How you doing buddy'' Zac asked Jerome who was still grunting

''Yeah, had worse'' Jerome replied

''You handled that nicely, what a great team'' Angelina says

''Well hello Angelina'' Jerome replied

''You know her?''

''Yes of course, she is similar to Jeff, they both went into hiding, only difference is she is not the chosen one'' Jerome says as he stands and takes his leave, he was limping on

''I did not go into hiding and you know that'' Angelina yells as he had already walked a distance

''Why don't we have a drink'' Zac says

''Why?'' Angelina replied

''Catch up like old times'' Zac replied as Angelina stared at him silent

''Talk about, the future? About the takeover and the revolution'' Zac adds

''Just one drink'' Angelina replied

''Alright'' Zac says as they left

Few Minutes Later

''What is this Jeff?'' Blake asked as Jeff kept arranging his bags

''Jeff answer me'' Blake continued

''Jeff!'' Blake yelled once more

''What? What? Huh?'' Jeff replied coming really close to Blake almost putting his face in Blake's

''It's gone, it is all fucking gone, have got no life, no friends, no fucking body, just her, I thought you had my back, but now I know it is just her'' Jeff adds as he went back to packing his stuff

''You know that's a lie'' Blake replied

''My dad is fucking dead man, my dad is fucking dead and everything is worse now'' Jeff replied as a tear rolled down his left eye down to his left cheek

''I just believed he was alive and I had this vivid imaginations'' Jeff adds as he packs up his bags to leave as he is held back by Blake

''A wise man once told me You cannot swim in a water filled with sharks bigger than your imagination'' Blake says

''Well I am the chosen one, I will make a boat out of those sharks so I do not have to swim'' Jeff replied as he leaves

Moments After At The Pub

Noise and music in the backgrounds as the waiter stands and stares as he asks

''What would you have''

''Wine''

''Irish or scotch?''

''Scotch'' Angelina replied

''Alright then'' he replied and left

''We need people like you, you're a born leader'' Zac says

''No, thank you'' Angelina replied

''Why? Do you not want to lead these people?'' Zac replied

''Not with people like Jeff around'' Angelina replied as the waiter joined and dropped their glasses on the table and poured the wine into the glass then leaves

''He is only but a kid'' Zac replied

''A kid? A kid who was foreseen as the only hope of this kingdom is seen around with a mare healer and the child of the one who seeks to destroy us'' Angelina replied as she gulps her drink all at once and pours out another into her glass and takes another gulp

''You know today I pitched myself severally, trying to check if what I witness today was real, of course I know she doesn't have anything to do with what the Mayhem does but still, he should have nothing to do with her, she is the seed of a beast, she is also a beast, it is in there somewhere, it just time it takes for it to be unleashed'' Angelina adds as Zac takes a sip of his wine as he speaks

''Where have you been for the past months and do not lie to me, because have not seen you around for months'' Zac says

''Well I went in search of answers'' Angelina replied

''What answers?'' Zac replied looking curious

''There has been rumors since mayhem took over that he is not the rightful successor and we are all being deceived and all those tales he tells us are just lies'' Angelina replied

''Not this again'' Zac says as he brings out a pack of cigarette and hands one stick to Angelina and lit it for her she exhales it almost immediately as Zac brings out another and lit for himself

''Well'' Angelina replied

''Jeff said something about this a while ago but I refused to believe'' Zac says

''I guess he is not all that dumb after all'' Angelina relied

''He is amazing, he is just going through a faze, give him time'' Zac says

''Well, I am off'' Angelina says as she stands up putting out the fire on the cigarette as Zac stands holding her left hand looking deep into her eyes

''Will you join us for this fight?'' Zac asked her as he held her hand still, as Angelina takes his hand off hers and walks a little bit away from the table where they sat almost to the exit of the pub then she turns back looking into Zac eyes

''We are going do it my way'' Angelina replied

''Let's agree to disagree'' Zac says as they both let out a laugh

''Tomorrow at the hill, I have a plan'' Angelina says as she leaves the pub and Zac kept staring
