265. Leaving Laugh Tale

The Straw Hats finally leave Laugh Tale after 6 months. They really have a lot of things to do even though there's no other people there. Well, it was Robin who has the most thing to do in the last 6 months.

They leave through the mist again, but it's easier now because Jon has made a jutsu to control the mist. He compressed the mist into water balls, so a giant hole is formed in the solid mist. He keeps doing that until they reach the normal mist.

After coming out of the mist, they go to Wano to rest and to check another ancient weapon, Pluton. They found out that Pluton was kept in Wano. So they want to check it and seal it so it won't be misused in the future if it's found.

Wano has opened its border now, so people from outside have come there. That's why the news of the Straw Hat Pirates' arrival in Wano spreads like wildfire. They have disappeared for months and suddenly they show up in Wano.

People start to speculate that the crew has gone Laugh Tale because many people have heard that the crew has found the way to Laugh Tale before their disappearance. But no one could confirm it yet. Now, they finally have the chance to confirm whether it's true or not.

However, the Straw Hat Pirates aren't saying anything to the world and just go straight to meet the Shogun in Wano. Momonosuke has become the Shogun and now has the appearance of an adult after Shinobu used her power to make his body age.

After all, it would be too unconvincing to have a little kid as the Shogun. It's not a secret that Momo is still very young though. But no one in Wano opposed having him as their Shogun as he is the true heir of that position.

He has gotten more mature now although he is still a crybaby. His retainers are helping him in ruling the country wisely. They have rebuilt Wano a lot after the destruction caused by Beasts Pirates and Orochi's group.

"Not bad, Momo. This country has surely gotten much livelier than our last visit."

"It's all thanks to you guys. We got a lot of allies that helped us develop this country. The former wastelands are recovering nicely too, thanks to the trees that Jon made with his jutsu. Those trees also became very useful sources of woods to build houses and buildings."

Momo keeps telling them the changes happening on Wano. They just listen while drinking tea & sake relaxedly. It has been so long since they met other people and relaxed like this, so they want to enjoy it.

Then at night, they go to the secret location used to keep Pluton with Momo & Hiyori. The 2 of them are main members of Kozuki Family that have been tasked to guard Pluton, so they need to join the Straw Hats. But the 2 of them don't actually know about it.

"So no one knows where that weapon is kept?"

"I know it, you know. I've known it since our first arrival here to fight Kaido."

Jon suddenly drops a surprising fact that makes everyone's jaw drops.

"Y-you knew it from back then?"

"Yeah, more like White Zetsu found it and told me about it. But I didn't know what it was and I thought it won't help us, so I didn't say anything to avoid making unnecessary problems."

"Huh? White Zetsu found it?"

"So where is it?"

"Right below us, it's inside this island."

""WHAT?!""

Jon explains that one of the White Zetsu found it coincidentally when moving underground to do things before the war. It found an underground room and saw a big object there. But it didn't do anything and just reported to Jon who also decided to not do anything because they needed to focus on the war.

Now they need to go there, but they don't know how to enter the underground room because it's very deep inside the island. But well, Jon has investigated it again since they arrived here and found out that there is no path available to go there.

"We need to make a way ourselves if we want to go there. The underground room is sealed by this island that acts like walls. It's like they built this island to hide that ship instead of making an underground room under this island to hide the ship."

"What? Then how will the ship get out?"

"If my guess is correct, then we need to destroy the island to get it out."

""WHAT?!""

"Maybe what Oden said by opening Wano's border didn't mean to open it to the world, but it was a literal act of breaking the walls that became Wano's border."

"But isn't doing so will destroy this country because the island will collapse."

"NO WAY! MY FATHER WON'T DO SOMETHING THAT WOULD DESTROY THIS COUNTRY."

"That is just a guess. Also, after we went to Laugh Tale and learnt the history, it truly makes sense if Oden would think like that. Especially at that time when Kaido took over the country and Roger was executed. He might think that the only chance to save the world and Wano at that time was by using Pluton because it was the only ancient weapon that could be used at that time. Poseidon wasn't born yet and he couldn't control Uranus, so Pluton was his only choice."

They all get silent because it is a very dangerous scenario.

"But now we don't need to use any of those ancient weapons because the purpose of their creation has been fulfilled, mostly. Also, I don't want them to be used even as a last resort. Their power is too terrifying."

After learning about the ancient weapons in Laugh Tale, the Straw Hats became sure that these weapons shouldn't be used at all or they will destroy the world. That's just how powerful these weapons are. Even someone with world-defying power like Jon is terrified of them.

'These weapons are more terrifying than nuclear bombs. We can't let them be used.'

"S-so what will you guys do?"

"Don't worry, Momo. We have agreed to seal it so no one can use it even if it's found in the future. But we need you to keep it a secret and protect it so no one will try to misuse it."

"A-alright."

"Then let's go there."

Jon then teleports into the underground room used to keep Pluton with them using Thunder God Flash. He has sent a White Zetsu that he has marked with a Thunder God Flash seal into the underground room so he doesn't need to make a hole into the underground room.

It's very dark inside the underground room because no light can enter it. They lit up the big lamp they had prepared to illuminate the room. It's still not enough to make everything visible, but now they can see what they've been looking for, Pluton, which is under their feet now.

"T-this is Pluton?"

What they see under their feet is a gigantic ship made of metal. There are big & long cannons on the deck. But there isn't any mast or sail on the ship. It reminds Jon of a modern warship he saw on TV because he never saw one himself.

"Is this really a ship? It's made of metal. Can it really float with how heavy it is? And how will it move without any sail?"

"You don't need to worry about those things. The creators surely have thought of those things when they made this."

"Yeah, we are here to seal this thing, not admiring it."

"Can't we just destroy this thing to make sure no one can use it?"

"No. It sure is a very dangerous weapon, but we never know what will happen in the future. Maybe one day this dangerous weapon will be needed to save the world. I'd rather have it as the last option than having no option at all."

"Besides, it has been safely sealed here for 800 years. Now Jon will add more seals to keep it safer, so we don't need to destroy it."

"I also still want to learn the things in this ship to improve my skills as a shipwright."

They have decided to seal it and it doesn't change even after seeing it. But they don't seal it immediately. They are exploring the gigantic ship first as usual. There's no way they will pass such an exciting adventure.
