Ch. 4 Red Goblin Dungeon

When Jin entered the gate, he felt a very powerful suction force, pulling him somewhere, it didn't hurt much, but it was still very intriguing.

When Jin opened his eyes, he saw a huge jungle, It was full of wild life, plants, insects, etc..

Yet Jin noticed something weird, it almost felt like the entire forest was surrounded by a red hue, whilst being night time, it was very fascinating to look at.

Jin was aware of how goblins fight, they usually sneak up on the person and kill them with the sheer amount of numbers. Jin assumed they would rely on the night time to strike, yet Jin had the Hawks Eye skill, so it wasn't a problem for him.

While Jin was walking and observing the place carefully, he saw 5 creatures jump out of the bushes.

They were goblins.

"Shit..!"

First things first, his intelligence is much higher, therefore tricking it is easier, and it's very slow, he can use this to his advantage and quickly take them out one by one with his ice shard.

Jin was shocked to the core!

The system would give him quests when fighting monsters or when his life is in danger!

The rewards look amazing, he still doesn't know what Gold does though, however, the failure penalty is very devastating.

The system didn't give him a chance to reject the quest.

Jin just accepted it, he went inside this dungeon knowing that at any time, his life could end.

So he decided to attack first, he noticed that the goblins had a big bat which would slow them down, so he quickly made his way to a goblin that was a little further away from the group, the goblin rushed back at him, but he skilfully sidestepped and made the goblin trip, before the goblin could get up, he used and ice shard and blew his head off.

Jin was horrified at the brutal scene, yet he still kept his wits.

While Jin was distracted, 2 goblins rushed up to him and tried to attack him from behind, Jin noticed this and planned to trick them.

As soon as the goblins reached Jin's leg, he jumped over them, and went behind them. He killed one of them, yet Jin made a small mistake, he didn't account for the others!

One goblin jumped at him and bit his leg, Jin screamed in pain while trying to get the goblin off of his leg, Jin was starting to get angry, and so when another one tried to bite him, he summoned an Ice shard and obliterated two of them at the same time! Now only the one on his leg was left.

Jin was still in agony, yet he still managed to pull the goblin off of his leg.

And Jin summoned one last Ice Shard and killed the last one!

Jin was amazed at all of this, first, he decided to check out the amount of points he has right now.

Jin noticed a multitude of things. First things first, he noticed that all the skills now show whether they are active or passive, except for that Unknown Skill.

Secondly, he noticed that his mana and health was currently regenerating from the battle, which was very useful, would that mean his wounds would heal! He was unsure, but the other thing was that he now saw the amount of gold he has.

He still didn't know its use, yet he assumed it was important.

Jin clicked on the skill Steel Body, and a panel came up that showed the information about the skill.

[ Steel Body [ D+ ] ( Passive skill ) ] :

Steel Body Grants 40% Damage Reduction to all types of attacks, and protects the user from high and or low temperatures.

This skill was very useful, especially when going into Ice or Fire dungeons, this would prove to be very helpful.

Jin clicked on the next skill, Fire Fist.

[ Fire Fist [ D+ ] ( Active Skill ) ] :

Fire Fist allows the user to imbue their fists with fire, dealing fire damage.

Drains 2 mana per second. Damage scales off of STR and INT

This was perfect! He really needed a skill that doesn't cost too much mana to use like Ice Shard.

Now, all that's left is his stat and skill points.

Jin saw his weaknesses in that fight, he can't process things fast enough.

It took him a while to get over the goblins body and get back into the fight.

He needed more intelligence.

Suddenly, he could now feel his thoughts going faster, and it felt like his brain was much smoother.

Jin felt different this time, it wasn't just the fact that he was faster, he was more flexible now, he could stand in all kinds of different positions, it really was a huge difference.

[ Would you like to add 3 Stat Points into Strength? ]

"Yes"

Jin didn't feel different, but he decided to test it out anyway, he punched one of the trees and..

5 other trees behind it fell down with it!

The amount of strength allowed him to absolutely destroy 5 jungle trees that were lined up together with ease..

This was absolutely beyond his expectations!

He didn't dare use Fire Fist with it since it would burn the whole forest down.

He instantly felt his body got stronger, and more fluid, he also felt more tanky.

All that was left was his Skill Points.

After some experiments and a bit of research, he found out that skill points increase the rank and level of a skill, making it so it deals higher damage and is better in every way.

He decided to first level up his Ice shard, which allowed him to be able to make the Ice Shard any size he wants (5-20m) without any cost of extra mana. And also levelling the damage by two folds. the rank also increased from E+ to D+! That's insane for only one skill point

This was very good for wiping out hordes of monsters and would prove to be useful later on.

Next, he upgraded the skill Fire Fist twice.

This made it so he can now make any part of his body fire, or he can infuse weapons with the fire affinity, while also increasing the destructive capabilities of this skill by 3 folds. It can now also activate the burn effect sometimes when fighting monsters, and the fire can also be transferred from one monster to another when they make physical content. The rank increased from D+ to B-.

This means that this attack rivals the power of people in the B rank. That's amazing!

This was very good against bosses and could be used to deal damage to groups very easily.

Next, he put 1 skill point into Steel Body, which increased its resistance to Ice, Fire and also increased the damage reduction by 5%, making it 45%. While also making the Rank of the skill go up to C+ which was still very phenomenal.

Then he put 1 point into Hawks eye, increasing its rank to D+ and now gives more accurate night vision, improving his own vision, and he can now see very far away. This is good for spotting sneak attacks and people hiding.

This was his current state, he also noticed that in the rank section, it now shows C+. Jin felt amazing, after only killing 5 monsters, he increased by an entire rank.
