Master!!! Master!!! Master!!!

The echo of the old man heard across the room made the leopard instantly open her eyes. As the voice came closer, the animal rose and growled aggressively.

"Easy!!! easy!!!", the man sitting on his chair warned. Not looking back at its owner the leopard stared at the door waiting for the man to get in.

The door creaked and the man appeared in the chamber.

"What have you got for me, Mr. Gen"

The old man immediately heard his master's voice across the room, he looked over at him and noticed the deadly black leopard staring at him from a far distance, not scared about the cat waiting to devour him, the man proceeded to talk.

"I found the owner master, I found her."

Immediately, he rose and walked toward the old man who was still trying to catch his breath

The approaching footsteps and the growling of the leopard which has gotten even louder made Mr. Gen realize his master has gotten closer to him, he looked up and saw the man.

He was still wearing his black mamba outfit, he always got that on and never changed to anything different.

"That was fast, and who is this human who has been blessed to be Dai Yu's owner? who is she? what power does she possess, who is her master, and what group is she?"

The man asked and awaited Mr. Gen's response, but instead, the old man kept quiet as he was about to disappoint his master with his response.

"She is just a 10-year-old girl living in Zhejiang".

He turned to Mr. Gen out of surprise, "are you saying Dai Yu chose a kid as her owner? with no powers? is she joking with me Gen?" he said and burst into laughter.

Mr. Gen who was about to reply got interrupted by the piercing sound of his master's laugh, as much as the man hated that laughter, he had to put on a smile to deceive the cranky animal staring at him wildly.

Suddenly the laughter stopped, the man looked back at Mr. Gen and asked, "what is it?".

Mr. Gen took a step closer to his master, "This girl is no ordinary girl, master. Her name is Xiaofan and it turned out her mother was a succubus, a..."

"A female demon that loves to have sexual intercourse with a sleeping man?" the man interruptedly said, he looked away and wondered how a demon got engaged to a human to have produced a human and why Dai Yu chose this human as her owner.

Mr. Gen watched his master walk forth and back with his animal watching them closely.

"I have never heard of a demon getting together with a human? did she use her seducing power on this man?..." he asked himself as he was filled with amazement.

"Melisa was her name and she had died right after giving birth to the girl, I think the young girl does not know who her mother was and that she possesses a power. Neither did the human father know about it".

The master was tired of listening to the old man, he turned away and returned to his seat, the animal moved closer to the man and snarled at him, the spit got all over the man's face as he dared not to move.

It was a sign of dominancy and the old man know what it means, he dare not do anything at that moment, for what he knows. The leopard has been his master spirit animal ever since the 19th century.

Shortly, the growling got low as the leopard returned to its position, next to her owner.

"Dai Yu has got some nerve to use a little girl this time, she left Japan for China... what a stupid bird", the master said and laughed softly.

"Now that we know who she chooses, what do we do?"

"That is a good question Mr. Gen, what do we do?", the man repeated and let out a scoff.

The woman leaned on the door as she tried listening to the conversation but unfortunately it had stopped.

Xiaofan suddenly opened the door, almost making her stepmother fall to the ground.

The woman maintained her balance and saw the girl's narrowed eyes at her.

She cleared her throat and said, "your father would like to have you downstairs", sounding harsh.

The girl could see the woman's eyes trying to look through the small opening to her room, she shook her head and gave her stepmother a cold response.

"Let me guess, you acted like a caring mother and had told dad you would check up on me so he can think you are a good wife but instead you are here acting cold because he cannot see you".

The woman frowned on hearing the words from Xiaofan's mouth, "you know nothing about me little chicken, you better follow me downstairs to eat now or you are going to starve", she aggressively said.

Without hesitation, the girl shut her door and said "do whatever you want".

She let out a frustrating sigh as she heard her stepmother's footsteps receding.

"I wish father can see who she is...", she said as she sat down gently on the bed.

Strangely the bird was no more on the bed, she instantly got over the annoyance from her stepmother and looked around for the bird who was on the bed with her before the woman came around.

"Hey birdie-birdie, come out now!", Xiaofan repeatedly said but there was no sign of the owl in the room.

Hoping the bird hasn't disappeared as it did a few weeks ago, she looked out her window and worriedly at the sky.

"I have so many questions that I need answers to, the bird cannot just go again, I got fond of that little creature", Xiaofan thought.

The wind gushes.

The flapping of wings caught the girl's attention, her heart froze for a moment. She turned quickly and saw the bird on the bed.

"OmG, there you are," Xiaofan said as she smiled widely, she walked up to the bed and sat gently on the bed, "You scared me, Dai Yu".

The bird opened her eyes and looked at the girl who had just called her name.
