As I traveled deeper down the corridor, I came across a few more Lizardman who ranged from levels 4 to 8 and were still relatively easy to kill.

I have mainly been focusing on using my bow and magic since I was too clumsy with my spear.

I did make sure to train with the spear whenever I was against one or two Lizardman.

After some time passed, I did manage to reach the end of the corridor and found a small room, making this corridor a dead end.

I saw around 9 Lizardmen sitting around a campfire in the room, which I managed to kill with some difficulty and a few bruises in the process.

However, I managed to level my Spear Mastery to 6, Mana Bolt to 10, Steady Hands to 4, Physical Fitness to 21, Meditation to 3, and Bow Mastery to 25.

All in all, it was some good growth from just this one corridor.

I should also mention that I also killed 18 Lizardman in the corridor and earned myself 367 System Points, raising my SP count to 593.

On my way back to the entrance of this long tunnel, I looked through each of the sections available in the System Shop before stopping in other upon seeing something that I would definitely need to get once I had enough points.

If this worked as described, perhaps I would finally be able to know precisely what all of my skills do without having to guess from their names.

I have no doubt I will receive many skills in the future, so something like this would come in handy.

Besides, it's not that expensive. I am only on the second floor of 50 and am already halfway there from being able to purchase it.

When I eventually made it back to the open room where the other entrances of the tunnels lie, I chose the tunnel to the right of the tunnel I just came out of and started calmly walking down it.

Every once in a while, I would encounter a Lizardman or a group of Lizardmen. As before, when I encountered only a single or 2 Lizardmen, I would use my spear. However, if I met a group, I focused on keeping my distance and picking them off from a distance with my bow and Mana Bolts.

It did not take long to reach the next level.

Looking through the changes in my status, I used my 9 Free Stats and spread them across Strength, Agility, Perception, Resistance, and Willpower.

After checking my status once more, I swiped it away and continued down the tunnel.

This time I wanted to test a theory. I made sure to stay as hidden as possible as I walked down these jagged tunnels, and upon seeing any Lizardman, I attacked as stealthfully as possible, using only my bow.

And to my surprise, It didn't take long for my hypothesis to be proven correct.

So my actions can create new skills, it seems.

Although that may have been obvious before, it was still better to know that this was the case.

So with this newfound knowledge, I began experimenting as I traveled down the tunnel.

This time, whenever I came across the Lizardmen, I solely used my spear.

Sure, some of the fights were difficult, but with Mana Bolt, I could give myself an advantage when the Lizardmen started overpowering me.

Sure, with their current strengths, they were as weak as children, but they can still easily overwhelm me in sheer numbers while they are small in size.

Not to mention, their clubs still hurt, whether they have the strength of children or not.

I can easily overpower the small Lizardmen with my current strength, but they could still kill me if there are too many of them.

Also, even if I had greater strength than them, I didn't have much of a height advantage against them, meaning that if these were only children, the Adults could be far stronger and larger, reaching maybe 6 or 7 feet in height meaning fights on lower floors will be quite difficult, and in my hope, more rewarding.
