Chapter 10: The Truth is out

Now that everything was over Shiro returned home to relax from all that built up fatigue he had fighting Kenzo. Still he couldn't get Kenzos words out of his head.

Kenzo: "I don't know what you're doing with the prince, but I hope you know that now your life won't ever be the same again."

Shiro couldn't stop wandering if his words were really true or not.

Shiro: "Ah, sh*t. I already knew that my life won't be the same again, but him telling me the same thing really makes me wonder what truly awaits me."

Kageboshi: "What's the matter kid you seem stressed?"

Shiro: "OF COURSE I AM! When were you going to tell me that you are the prince of the 'Demon Realm'?"

Kagheboshi: "LAST TIME I CHECKED I HAD NO OBLIGATION TO DO THAT!"

Shiro: "WELL YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME SINCE BECAUSE OF YOU I NEARLY DIED MANY TIMES!"

Kageboshi: "Ok, Ok, stop yelling now. Arguing is pointless now that you know the truth."

Shiro: "Ah, as much as I hate to admit it you're right for that. At least tell me what does the 'Prince of All Demons' want here on earth?"

Kagboshi: "I can't hide it any longer so I have to tell you."

Kageboshi: "There's been a sudden surge in devils trespassing into your world so I was sent to manage them in silence."

Shiro: "That's strange. Why would they want to pass to our world?"

Kageboshi: "That's because they crave for human blood."

Shiro turned pale right after hearing those words.

Kageboshi: "For both devils and demons drinking human blood and absorbing their life energy can help increasing their strength thus allowing them to evolve more quickly."

Shiro: "But how is it possible for them to trespass into our world without you knowing."

Kageboshi: "We still don't know the reason why it happens. Every demon is assigned a book with its own story if they drop it here and a human reads it that human becomes that demons host, but every time that happens it is registered in the castle…"

Shiro: "THAT MEANS THAT THEY CAN PASS HERE WHENEVER THEY WANT!"

Kageboshi: "WILL YOU SHUT UP AND LISTEN FOR A MOMENT YOU MEATHEAD! DIDN'T YOU WANT AN EXPLENATION?"

Kageboshi: "As I was saying it is registered in the castle, but they can't send the book to your world without the kings permission. Still they managed to bypass that rule and somehow also hide their name, but not the fact that they're trespassing."

Shiro: "That means that now this world is in big danger. But how does human blood affect a devils/demons strength?"

Kageboshi: "Just by drinking a creatures blood we can access their memory's, emotions and if we drink it directly from they're body we can steal that creatures life energy."

Shiro couldn't stop but tremble from the terrifying things he was hearing.

Kageboshi: "Because of that the king forbid the consumption of human blood and since then only a handful of demos were allowed to pass to your world."

Shiro: "Do you mean that now that I'm your host I need to fight them with you?"

Kageboshi: "That's true."

Shiro: "So that's what he meant with those words. HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO MANAGE THAT? I CAN SERIOUSLY DIE!"

Kageboshi: "You won't die."

Shiro: "HOW CAN YOU BE SO SURE ABOUT THAT?"

Kageboshi: "That's because you have me. I'm the prince of all demons for f*ks sake. There's only a handful of demos stronger than me and they're all in the royal castle as we speak."

Shiro: "But I'm unable to use your full power. That means that right now there's demos stronger than you. Didn't you see that Kenzo nearly killed me because of how weak I was compared to him?"

Kageboshi: "That might be right, but I chose you specifically to be my host."

Shiro: "Why?"

Kageboshi: "Because I saw your potential and determination to protect others. I kept a close eye on you for month and now I am finally shure that you can harness my full power only by training."

Shiro: "You really think I can do it?"

Kageboshi: "Of course I think you can because I'm not a lazy idiot like you to not be able to figure out who can be the best host to harness my strength."

Shiro: "!!!!"

Shiro: "Ok that's one way to ruin a moment you f*ckface. Who do you think you are calling an idiot?"

Kageboshi: "YOU ARE THE IDIOT! AND WHO ARE YOU CALLING A F*CKFACE YOU DIPSH*T?"

Shiro: "OH IT IS ON NOW!"

Ai: "SHIROOOO!"

Shiro: "YES MA'AM, I MEAN, MOM!"

Ai: "Come down its dinner time."

Shiro: "Oh sweet you're safe, for now."

Kageboshi: "We'll see about that, but don't forget that if you want to live you have to start training right after dinner."

Shiro: "Ok, Ok, let's just eat for now."

Ai: "Ah I almost forgot. Shiro your father told me to tell you that we need to start removing things form the attic so after dinner help me move them."

Shiro: "Won't father be coming to help us?"

Ai: "I wish, but these days he's been stuck at work and hasn't come home at all."

Shiro: "I wonder what he might be working with that's taking him so much time."

Ai: "I wish I knew too. Let's just eat for now."

While Shiro was stuffing his stomach something more serious was happening somewhere else that also involved him.

Kenzo: "I'm here to report captain."

Captain: "Oh, Kenzo you're back! How did it go?"

Kenzo: "It was marvelous. I haven't had that good of a fight since I fought you."

Captain: "Well I can see that. No one has been able to rough you up this badly before. Did you manage to finish the job?"

Kenzo: "Yes I did finish him off so he won't be trouble anymore."

Captain: "Awesome. I knew I could count on you like always."

Captain: "Now please leave me alone. Some more trespasses were reported and I need to take care of them."

Kenzo: "As you say, but remember I can be rough up a bit, but I can still manage to regenerate thanks to Nues abilities so don't hesitate to call me for a job."

Nue: "Are you shure you're good with lying to him. He's your best friend after all."

Kenzo: "Well as much as I hate lying to him what the prince said was true. His presence here should be kept a secret for his plan to work or we're all doomed."

Nue: "I'm glad you understand."

Kenzo: "Of course I do, but please don't make me lie to him again."

Nue: "You have my word."

While walking Kenzo sensed a familiar presence coming towards him.

Kenzo: "I didn't think I would see you again after all that."

The person that appeared in front of him was Chiyo Tanaka who continued to bow in front of him.

Chiyo: "Please teach me."

Kenzo: "Ou. Where did this come from?"

Chiyo: "Watching you two fight today really made me realize how weak I was. In order to protect what I love I need to get stronger and I can't achieve that alone."

Kenzo: "You really think you have what I takes to withstand my training? Have you not heard that 10 new recruits quit my division because they couldn't withstand it?"

Chiyo: "I already know everything, but light training won't get me anywhere."

Kenzo: "And why did you chose specifically me."

Chiyo: "Because the only way to get strong is to learn by the strong and since I witnessed your strength first hand today I finally understand why they call you the captains rival."

Kenzo: "I like you. We start tomorrow at 9AM in the training grounds. Don't be late or else, I quit."

Chiyo: "THANK YOU SO MUCH SIRE I WONT DISSAPOINT!"

Now that everything has become clear and all mysteries have been unfolded it was the time for war to begin.
