Chapter 11: Finally home

After finishing dinner Shiro couldn't hep, but wonder what can be so important that his dad is stuck at work this long.

Kageboshi: "You don't need to worry about that when it is clear that he's the responsible type. Unlike someone else I know."

Shiro: "You really don't know anything else expect getting on my nerves do you."

Kageboshi: "It's not my fault that the truth burns."

Shiro: "I swear I will remeber every single word you say and one day I will make you eat them-"

Kageboshi: "What were you sayin? I can't understand your barking."

Shiro: "You b*tch."

Ai: "Hey Shiro come now. We need to get to work if we want to finish it tonight."

Shiro: "Ok, I will be there in a minute."

The next morning Shiro went to school, but he couldn't help but notice that Chiyo was skipping class.

Shiro: "Who wonders what he might be scheming."

Kageboshi: "You don't have to worry about that. He won't be bothering us anymore."

Shiro: "How can you be this sure?"

Kageboshi: "Just trust me. I fixed everything with Nue."

Shiro: "Ah, that's nice. So you can be a dependable guy when you want."

Kageboshi: "I will remember those words."

As Shiro was following his classes Chiyo had already started his training.

Kenzo: "What's wrong. Is this all you have to offer."

Chiyo was beated up real badly by Kenzo who still was in his human form while Chiyo had manifested all the power of his devil that he had acces to.

Chiyo: "It is not over till I say so-"

Before he could finish talking Kenzo had already grabbed him by the face a and proceeded to slam him to the ground.

Kenzo: "If you don't step up your game right now than I have nothing to teach you."

Chiyo: "Don't look down on."

Kenzo: "Then lets make this more intresting. If you manage to even scratch me in the next 5 minutes than I will show how you can passively increase your strength."

Chiyo: "You're bluffing. Such this does not exist."

Kenzo: "Why don't you try attacking me to find out if I'm bluffing or not."

Chiyo directly charged at Kenzo with his spear in hand ready to hit him with all his might, but Kenzo managed to evade it easily.

Kenzo: "Come on kid. You know that won't work on me."

Chiyo: "Oh I know it won't. But this will."

While Kenzo was still in midair Chiyo attacked him with a second spear.

Kenzo: "What is this?"

Even though briefly Kenzo managed to evade it and land back on the ground without a scratch.

Kenzo: "Nice try. You nearly got me."

Chiyo: "I won't miss next time."

Kenzo: "You seem to be misundertanding something. THERE WON'T BE A NEXT TIME!"

Kenzo charged at him and started repidiatly attacking. Chiyo was slowly being overwhelmed by Kenzo and cloudn't think of a solution till Yamitsuki intervened.

Yamitsuki: "Chiyo use 'Armour Reinforcement' to absorb some damage and by some time to counterattack."

Chiyo: "Great idea."

'Armour Reinforcement' is a skill that can increace the damage absorption on Chiyos armour by 50% for 10 seconds.

Kenzo: "Uu, nice skill kido, but it won't keep you safe."

The intensity of Kenzos attacks increased, but the armour managed to buy him enough time to gather energy for the next attack.

Chiyo: "TAKE THIS!"

Kenzo: "Sh*t. He got me. Unless."

Kenzo: "Prove him wrong, NUE."

The pressure from Kenzos release was enought to negate Chiyos attack.

Chiyo Thinking: "AS IF THIS WASN'T HARD ENOUGH!"

Kenzo in his release state attacked Chiyo with enough force to imobilize him, but Chiyo still didn't give up.

Chiyo Thinking: "Sh*t. If he really wasn't bluffing than I can not aford to lose, heck I can not affort to be weak all my life."

Chiyo: "I can not affort to let you beat me here. I need to get stronger or I will be left in the dust on this new world filled with prodigies."

A sudden surge of energy started coming out of Chiyos body which made Kenzo put his guard up for the first time during this fight.

Kenzo: "So you finally tapped into your hidden strength."

Kenzo: "Show me what you got now ki-"

Before Kenzo realized his cheek was cut and Chiyo was standing right behind him.

Kenzo: "This proves it. You managed to awaken."

Yamitsuki: "CHIYO STOP NOW!"

Yamitsuki: "KENZO PLEASE STOP HIM!"

Kenzo: "What's all the hurry about?"

Yamitsuki: "I don't know why, but he's burning his life energy right now."

Kenzo: "Sh*t. This is bad."

Chiyo had lost controll of himself and kept attacking Kenzo.

Kenzo: "Well, it seems I can not hold back any longer or he will really kill me."

Kenzo released all his power on one big attack to defeat Chiyo, but he made sure that it would only knock him out and not kill him.

Kenzo: " 'Chimera Hunting Ground' "

What happened after was so fast for anyone to notice, but to put in simple Chiyo was standing on the ground unconscious.

Kenzo: "Hah. You really made me use my ace for the likes of you, but as promised I will teach you since you managed to land quite a few solid hits on me."

Once the fight concluded someone that Kenzo didn't expect showed up. It was their captain.

Captain: "Quite the magnificent display. This kid really put you against the wall."

Kenzo: "The kid really has potential. I guess I found my new partner."

Kenzo: "But what are you doing here. Didn't you have a lot of work to do?"

Captain: "Well, things started to quite out a bit so I thought I will go home today after finishing some errands. Then I saw you fighting and It looked intresting."

Kenzo: "Well, I guess that you really need to rest a bit since you do most of the work in here."

Captain: "Goodbye than. Take care of the kid."

Kenzo: "I will."

That night on Shiros house something quite unexpected happened.

Ai: "Shiro can you open the door please."

Shiro: "Okay."

Shiro: "I wonder who he might be?"

Shiro opened the door and was happy for what he saw.

Shiro: "Wellcome home father."

Shiro: "But why did you knock don't you have a spare key with you?"

Akira Tachibana: "I forgot it at the office and didn't realize till I came here."

Ai: "Oh. I'm glad you're finally home dear."

Akira: "Yeah, things started to quite down at the office so I came here."

Kageboshi: "Shiro. Is this guy your father?"

Shiro: "Yeah. But why do you seem so stressed?"

Kageboshi: "I can sense an incredible power from him. It's the first time that I have felt this powerless in front of someone."

Shiro couldn't belive what he was hearing and started to doubt if that person was really his father.
