Vergil POV

I followed Simon to the VIP room, as the auction was about to start. along the way he introduced the auction 

"Young noble, this auction will happen in a virtual space created through a formation, there you can have the option to remain anonymous as well. Since it is the yearly Auction of Sorcerer society many people will join in as well including nobles from other territories. There will be a total of ten items displayed all of which are best of the best in the house" He explained

"Do you have a list of things to be Auctioned off?" I inquired

"Un fortunately not young master, our guild maintains strict confidentiality polices" He shook his head

"But... young master there has been a rumor going around that this year auction is going to have a special ancient tome" He explained with a mysterious voice

"Ancient tome huh... now that something to look forward to" I muttered

We followed him to a luxurious room there was a big screen at one side, I noticed a very complex formation that I could not understand very well. There were also chairs in the middle if the room and a round table in front with various fruits on it.

"Young noble I will take my leave if you require anything you can tell the servant" He said as he bowed and left

I went and sat on the chair with May standing behind me

"Come on May sit down" I said

"But.... Okay young master" May was about to object she obviously saw the look in my eyes

There were still ten minutes before the Auction, now I had to think how much to spend. The money in my card was around 2700 platinum coins including the one I earned before, its highly unlikely I will be able to buy something precious but I will try. Its not one of the biggest auction, if that were the case I probably would not be able to buy anything, so I was feeling a little optimistic

Soon the wait was over as we heard a voice

"Ladies and gentleman thank you for waiting, the Auction will commence now" A nice female voice was heard 

Suddenly A large formation was activated and a large magic circle flashed, I observed it closely this time, than we were in a different area there was a big stage in front of us where most likely the auction would take place and we were still in a room sitting on our chair in front me were two button a green button that was for bidding, a red button was next to it as it had buyout written on it this was to directly buy the item without any bidding

At this time the Light on the stage were lit up and a beautiful and hot lady came out most likely the host for todays Auction, she wore a flaming red suit highlighting her curvaceous body even more

As soon as she came on stage there were many whistling noises from down the stage probably some ruffians and spoiled brats

"Good Evening My lords and ladies, my name is Akane on behalf of Sorcerer Society I would like to welcome all of you to todays Auction" her enchanting voice sounded as she bowed clearly making some people nosebleed

"Without further ado, lets begin" she said as another beautiful servant brought the very first item on a tray

It was a special flask made to store special alchemic potions, 

"This ladies and gentleman is a grade 4 potion called 'Barrier Breaking Potion' It can allow any one at junior level swordsman to progress one star, so if you are 2 star warrior after drinking it you can become 3 star warrior immediately" she enthusiastically and patiently explained

Burst of exclamation came from the crowd as they began to discuss, but no one in VIP room including myself reacted to it, certainly it may seem a shortcut but it would probably have some serious side effects

"The starting price for this bid is 200 G and buyout price is 1000 G" she said

As soon as she finished speaking the bidding started

"400" some one said silencing every one

"400G, would someone like to bid higher, 400 once..... 400 twice.... 400 thrice... and sold" she announced

"Congratulation to this gentleman for buying the potion" she said as the potion was bought by someone standing in the crowd 

"Onto the next one.... " another servant brought a long scarlet sword, she took the sword and waved it in the air, leaving a fiery tail in its way as she gave a small demonstration

"The second item for today is a weapon artefact, its name is 'blazing fire sword' forged from one of the hottest metal clearly suited for those who excel in Fire arts. The starting price is 500 G and buyout price 2500 G " she said as she placed the sword back on the tray

"1000" an arrogant voice from one of the room sounded as it silenced all the people from below

"The gentleman from Room 18 bids 1000 G any one higher" she said as she looked at the people in the rooms

I was surprised, people in private room were wealthy nobles or merchants they should not lack such equipment, I tried using my senses, but I was surprised my senses that can clearly pass through many formations could not pass through this room, I tried to concentrate, but all I saw was something devouring my senses 

'maybe its a projection so my senses are being blocked' I thought, since we are not physically present I can directly observe him

"May can you guess who must be in the room" I asked May

"young master although I don't know the person but I can be sure he only brought the sword to impress the host" she said, I could feel contempt in her voice 

"hey beauty can we meet after the auction, i'll give you this sword it suits you" May was right as I heard that arrogant voice again

"Thankyou young master for the praise" she bowed clearly not saying anything, the arrogant laughter was heard next

"1000 G once.... twice... thrice.... sold" she said

Just like this two more Items were brought there were other another potion and artefact for defense and also a metal essence was also being auctioned, that was brought by someone from a room, probably some artefact refiner 

"Fifth Item for today is ..." she said as it was brought, she removed the cloth covering the item

It was a beautiful tiara with ice blue gems inlayed as it shone a gentle light giving off a chilling aura

"This is an support artefact called 'Frostglow Diadem' , it can increase a person cultivation speed by 10 percent, also Ice related spells can be cast 10 percent faster, also it provides some immunity against fire based attacks, clearly a superb and wonderful artefact for my fellow sisters" she said as she raised the tiara 

"wow"

"So beautiful"

"I want it.. so bad"

"Dear please buy it for me" a lady asked

 "hehe look yourself in mirror than ask" the man next to lady sneered

"The starting price id 5000 G and buyout price is 25000 G" she announced

"6000 G" immediately a girl voice was heard from one of the room

"7000 G" another lady voice from another room

"8000 G" the previous voice sounded as she hmphed

"9000 G" the lady followed as she chuckled

"10000 G" the girl followed the girl voice clearly impatient

"15000 G" the lady said "little girl I really like this, could you abstain, I shall owe you a favor" 

"17500 G" the girl said " What a coincidence I also want this

"18000 G" the lady voice sounded full of annoyance

"20000 G" the girl said immediately

There was silence from the lady's room a few minutes latter a helpless voice sounded

"I abstain" she sighed her voice full of disappointment, It would seem she really wanted this

"20000 G the lady in room 9 bid, any higher bids.... 20000 once.... twice... thrice .. sold" she said

"Congratulation to the lady in room 9 for getting such wonderful item" she congratulated

"Now on to our sixth Item of the day " she said as she motioned the servant to bring a glass case, then she removed the case in it was a special flower its petal were in several different color probably seven and had a green emerald stem it gave of an ethereal aura

"This is 'seven colored begonia' an extremely rare herb found in special places where extreme mana is saturated, this herb can be used for alchemic purposes, and can also be consumed , it can increase the quality of your mana and prana also it can increase the chances of breaking through High level mage" She explained the herb

This got me interested, I was already thinking of acquiring rare herbs now I found one 

"May I want this" I said to May

"The starting price is 6500 G and buyout price is 32500 G "

"7000 G" 

"8500 G" 

"9000 G" 

clearly it did not receive attention as the previous one, not many people can use this thing although it can be eaten raw it will definitely not be pleasant experience

"10000 G " I said as I pressed the button 

"The gentleman from room 12 bids 10000 G any higher bids" she looked around, it would seem she originally thought this item would not be popular

"10000 G once ..... twice..... thrice... and.." just as she was about to say sold someone bid

"10500 G " it was the arrogant voice from room 18

"10500 G we have got another higher bid" she said excitedly 

"That playboy brat again" I muttered 

"11000 G " I followed

"11500 G" arrogant one said

"12000 G" I said

"12500 G" he said as he laughed

"Young master he is playing with you" may said as she frowned

"I know..... 15000 G" I said clearly annoyed by his shenanigan's

"16000 G..... hey brat let me have this one, in exchange this young master will introduce you to some hotties" he said arrogantly 

"20000 G.... No need this young master is not interested in used products" I said in a cold voice, clearly this person was getting on my nerves 

There was a sudden silence in the room and than a laughter erupted in the hall

"haha... used products.... hahah"

"Clearly he meet his match"

"hahaha that arrogant person must using others trash...hahahaha"

multiple comments like this sounded, the audience also seemed fed up of the arrogant man tones

May also giggled

"Shut up brat... do you know who this young master is" he shouted full of anger

"Trash, what else" I said as I mocked him

another laughter erupted in the hall

"Miss please continue" I said to Akane 

"Ah yes 20000 G going once.... twice.... thrice.... sold" she said as she was in daze

"Congratulation for gentleman in room 12 for buying this wonderful herb" she said 

"May, here you go" I said to may as she took my card and went to pay
