I THINK I ALMOST DIED

She widened her eyes at how close they were, they were in a hugging position with her close to the person's chest, she couldn't see his face but she could just stare straight at his chest that was quite close to her face, she didn't need anybody to tell her who it was to know who it was. He smelled delicious like almond or maybe coconut. The two mixed. Or she assumed, she stared at his hard chest with her hand placed on it. She applied little force with her hand flatly placed on his chest to create at least a little gap between them.

Everywhere was more silent than ever, she felt everything moving in slow motion and the breeze passing by her skin, toying with her hair. She stared up at him in a drama when she created a space between them, the look was like that of a civilian that was saved and now looked up to her hero, thanking him with her eyes.

"Are you okay?". He asked, his voice vibrating in his chest sending goosebumps all over her skin. His voice was thick and calm, too calm maybe.

She stared at him, already caught in his eyes, she can't believe she got tangled up again. She couldn't move or divert her gaze elsewhere, she felt as if she was under a spell or something, she was begging herself, within her to stop these but her eyes says otherwise.

"Hmm". She forced herself to mumble that one word, maybe she was still trapped in his eyes.

"That's a good thing then, let's go". He replied, enlargening the space between them so they can leave. She flinched at his sudden gesture, blinking several times, looking elsewhere to avoid his gaze.

She walked ahead trying to avoid his gaze that always seems to hold people down, she hurried with her footsteps. "Where were they anyway? cause she doesn't seem to hear any of the bee's wings flapping or anything". She thought while holding onto her front dress to prevent it from vacuuming the mud to itself.

She can't believe she almost died. Assuming Zamiel wasn't there and didn't arrive on time what would she be saying, she was ninety-nine points nine percent sure those bees would harm her, giving her zero mercy doing such, making her land in a round two coma. She shuddered at the thought of it, "She has to get her head in the game and this time she means it". She can't count how many times she has said this, maybe three or four, but these times she'll prevent herself from trouble. She promised herself to arrive at the place where they came from before entering the land of mother nature.

She turned around waiting for Zamiel who was just a footstep away. He was quite close than she expected, she expected him to be quite some distance away from her but here he was, very close to her as if he was a bodyguard not leaving any space for mistakes. She almost bumped her head on his chest but she stopped it from happening by pushing her head backward to avoid the impact that was on its way, at the nick of time. It was just instinct stuff that kicked in, making her flinch like that.

She took a step backward toooogive self herself f some space before she continued with what she was doing. She wanted to talk to him about something before that happened.

"Are we heading back now?". She asked him, not staring at his eyes but at his body instead.

"Yes". He replied to her question, staring at her. His gaze almost swayed her to break her cover but she quickly introduced her backup.

"Where are the others then?". She interrogated, staring behind him as if she was going to sight them. But her attention returned thick a voice that was smooth and calm at the same time.

"They left already. We were waiting for you". He added to his reply to provide her with full info this time.

"Oh". She felt weird about what he said. "So he came looking for me". She didn't like the feeling of being a weak girl. She didn't bother to prolong the matter anymore and just went ahead with walking into the tunnel.

*******

They both walked side by side in silence. None of them seem to have any intention to start a conversation or anything. She stared at the glowing reflection on the tunnel's wall. She still wonders why the wall had water reflection on it when the lake was still far away from where they were. She put her hands to herself, trying to resist the call of the wall, but with someone's presence she couldn't, she just had to resist it. She stole a glance at him beside her, he seems not to be bothered by what was going on or around him. "Who would be so comfy with this destructive silence". She took another peek at his expression. He was calmer than she imagined, she stole an extra glance at him and he was standing straight with his hands behind his back. "He looks different, What was it?". She felt awkward trying to steal an extra glance at him. She rotated her head slowly but quickly turned it back.

"Do you need anything?". He turned his head to her, now putting a pause on his footsteps. He turned to her staring down at her who had also stopped, she didn't know when she stopped, it just felt like an instinct.

She had no choice but to turn to him and meet his gaze. Now she knew what was different. It was his clothing. He already changed, he now wore a white long sleeves shirt that reached up to his wrist, it had a split from its ankle to the waist, having a button from upward to his waist. He wore a trouser also that was quite baggy and his hair was let down with a few strands tying it down from the side of his hair (from the beginning of his teddy).

"Nothing". She replied, staring into his eyes for a normal conversation. She might be a little bit reactive to Zamiel's presence, most especially his eyes but still, she had to maintain eye contact to play it cool

"Are you sure"? He asked with his eyebrows raised, staring down at her as if scolding a child but he looked like the educated type of dad that would always be calm which he was.

"Yes, I'm sure". She responded, breaking their eye contact, staring into one another, one she stood backing him slightly, a hint to tell him they should continue and he walked with slow steps. The two of them walked side by side, once again shrinking themselves into the destructive silence.

She stood there looking at the vast land

that looked more like a painting with the blue sky almost merging itself with the earth when sighted from a distance. The brown sand almost looked like dessert's but it was lighter in the desert it wasn't hot.

Beebah stood there outside the cave, watching nothing in particular but just the land, she stared into space for quite some time, she looked calm with the way she was with her shirt and baggy trouser and a sleeveless jacket over her shirt. She seemed to be weighing something inside her mind. Her ears moved slightly, reacting to a sound nearby. Or maybe not nearby.

The place where she stood looked empty as she raced there to check whatever it was. She stopped, hiding behind a hill that looked more like a termite's nest. She is there, watching the passersby, her breath steady and almost unheard. She was there acting like a spy on the men who were traveling on a horse.

They were about fifteen or fewer. One, two, three, four...She counted them with her eyes moving fast in her head

as she counted them with her eyes.

She watched like an assassin or a spy. She watched the men dressed in the same clothing which was probably their uniform. They had the same logo on their uniform, it was a white fairy lady, though the face can't be pointed out it was a fairy.

"Who uses a fairy as a military logo?". She thought within her, her eyesore following them like that of a hawk. They were knights. They had leather worn at little patches of their body like their shoulder, their boots, and their gloves.

She watched them move past her before she raced back to where the others were.

She felt her heart beat like crazy as she ran faster to inform the others.

She ran in, not caring about the horses or bandits. Her hair flew around and she could feel her skin turn colder as the breeze blew on her skin even though there wasn't any, detected in the tunnel. She stopped, hearing voices. Well it wasn't that of the person she was expecting but still, it was an emergency

so there was no time to waste time.
