A room which is uncomfortably quiet and a girl who is even more so weirdly quiet, other than her breathing nothing shows that she is alive. But inside her head there is a storm brewing ever since she decided to get out of that place. People with super powers. Not an imagination anymore?? People having powers divided between the evil path and the path of righteousness?? Merry let out a sigh of relief. She had been thinking that the kiss had created such an awkward environment between them that their friendship was at line.
And in no way, she wanted to lose her friendship with Cole. She knew long ago that she had started to like him more than just a friend. But it surely wasn't worth the cost of their friendship.
Thus, despite coming all the way to Cole's room to ask what was bothering him initially, she couldn't help but bring up about that matter as it was the only thing that was running on her mind since that night.
They stayed in the comfort of the silence for a while. Then Merry suddenly remembered what she had come for and asked Cole, "Oh yeah.. I just remembered, you looked so worried earlier. Did something happen?"
"When?" Cole asked though he knew what she was talking about.
"Earlier.. when you came back after finishing your lessons. Did something happen today?" Merry asked again.
