The Present; When They Came Back
[PRESENT]
The Princess walked into the palace with her head held high and swept her jade-green eyes over the intricated walls of the enormous castle.
A small smile came onto her lips as she looked at the place she called home for the past decades.
Soon, all of it will be hers.
All the maids, servants, and officials bowed their heads, some were shaking due to the fear they had for her, some were trying to look up to make sure it was really the Crown Princess who was standing before them.
"So, Mother, how has the palace been without me?" Princess Tashina asked her stepmother who was following behind her as they walked down the hall.
She could sense the displease in her stepmother's face and it brought pleasure to her body that the Queen was angry she was alive.
Although a tinge of sadness was mixed up in that emotion.
