His strong footsteps crushed against the puddle of snow all over the floor as he moved forward without a sign of hesitation on his limbs.
The guards standing outside the building both perked up when the sound of a stranger was heard.
He stopped just a few feet away from them as his eyes took in the three-story grey building right in front of him.
"Who are you? What are you here for?" One of the guards asked.
He turned his steely blue orbs to the one who spoke with a calm expression on his face.
"I am looking for someone," he said in a tone as cool as the waves of the night sea.
"And who is that? You can't get in here without permission from the Chief Monk,"
"The person I am looking for is quite different from those you have seen. In simple terms, a vampire, one who is not supposed to be here,"
The mention of the vampire seemed to have sparked something in them because they looked at each other as they tried to feign indifference.
