The Water Dragon is an existence that humans will never think of defeating. It was technically impossible for humanity to kill the dragon.

There was one time, 200 years ago when the Emperor tried to do so, it was a devastating loss. Out of 5,000 Soldiers, only 800 came back alive. These include people who might not be able to fight again due to injuries like losing their arms or legs.

While the dragon has no injuries from the battle, at that point, the emperor learned to never mess with the dragon again so he recorded it into history to warn future generations.

But just a week ago, a traveler heard a giant roar while traveling in the woods. Usually travelers travel to either enjoy the world or experience new things.

In this case, it was the latter. The travel head toward the roar to find a giant dragon giving birth.

After the traveler got back, he bragged about it to other people which eventually spread throughout the kingdom.

After some investigation, they discovered that it was true, due to this the dragon was greatly weakened.

Yet, the emperor didn't take advantage of the situation and did nothing . So the Hunter Guild happily took the job since this was a huge opportunity for them.

Defeating the dragon won't only give them a huge reputation increase, the skin of the dragon can be turned into weapons and armor, the meat of a dragon can be eaten to increase a person's strength, and any of these can let a family live for more than 10 generations without doing anything.

95% of the dragon would be given to the people doing the mission, they would split the reward among themselves. The rest would be given to the Hunter Guild, 5% was still a lot since the dragon was big.

And the people doing the mission would most likely sell it to the Guild too so they will have most of the corpse.

But it can only be obtained if everything goes peacefully which most likely won't happen easily.

Yuuto got into a fancy carriage with all the S-ranked. He was seated next to Asuna and Takeshi, it was like sitting between an angel and a devil.

"Why do I have to sit next to this brat!?"

Yuuto hated this person who was yelling every single time, it give him headache.

"As much as I want to move, I can't, unless you want me to get out and give up on the mission, I won't by the way. You could force me but the number 1 gossip tomorrow would be, 'A S-ranked bullied an A-ranked into giving up his mission', I'm sure you don't want that"

Takeshi glared at Yuuto so hard that if a glare could kill a person then Yuuto would already be dead.

"You--!- Arghh! Fine!"

Takeshi obediently sat down and folded his arm as he looked outside the window

Asuna giggled watching their interaction. It was her first time seeing someone who was not S-ranked and talked back to Takeshi.

The rest of the ride was quiet, after a couple hours, they finally got off the carriage.

"I'm sorry, this is as far as I can get. I'll wait here until you guys get back" the coachman said.

Asuna walked up to the coachman and handed him some silver coins.

"It's fine, thanks for taking us this far," she said with a bright smile.

"O--oh, your welcome"

The coachman was flustered, he never expected that he would ever see such an angel in his life.

'Sigh, if only I was born a decade later' the coachman regretted inside his mind.

*ROARRRR*

The roar covered the whole forest.

The group hastily made their way toward the sound.

When they arrived at their destination and saw the dragon, they were shocked at how big it was.

Even though they were warned at how big it was, seeing it was a different story. Takeshi's voice woke them up.

"Hahaha! This is gonna be fun!"

He bumped his fist together and charged at the dragon.

Yuuto face palmed himself, 'Wasn't we supposed to do a sneak attack!?'

The dragon naturally noticed Takeshi.

"Humans, had I not already taught you a lesson? Even if I'm weakened, you won't be able to defeat me!"

This is surprising…

The dragon can talk or….is there something else…?

Yuuto looked around and saw that everyone still has a normal expression on their face.

'Am I the only one who can hear it?'

Asuna followed Takeshi from behind, one other S-ranked took out a golden bow, another had a staff while mumbling something, the glasses person(Shinji) quickly hid in the background waiting for an opportunity with his daggers.

The dragon sent out a wave of water toward its enemies to slow them down.

A giant arrow flew toward the water.

"Holy Barrier!" The person with the staff yelled

A barrier surrounded the arrow as it pierced through the water opening a hole to get through while also going toward the dragon.

The dragon sent out a roar stopping the arrow midair while Asuna and Takeshi got closer to it.

It sent it paw down on Takeshi, he replied by creating many Earth spikes which only delayed it for a second.

In that second, Takeshi jumped to the side to dodge while Asuna traveled up the dragon from the paw.

Just as the dragon was about to send water toward Asuna, Shinji jumped down from above on its head and stabbed its eye.

An arrow came toward its other eye but was blocked.

Yuuto was watching them fight rather than engaging. The dragon seemed too weak to kill more than 4,000 soldiers. Sure, it was weakened but you can't never be too careful.

Some parts of the dragon scale were falling off slowly as time moved on.

At this rate, they won't even need him to kill the dragon. But there was one weird thing, the dragon hasn't used any water attack except for the beginning.

Yuuto wiped off sweat from his forehead. Wait...sweat? Why was he sweating when he didn't do anything yet?

Suddenly Yuuto saw Shinji running away with his eyes closed.

Dark clouds form from above.

'Rain?'
