The Prophecy Part 3

Sophie entered her bed chambers. She closed the door behind her before she leaned her back against it. She breathed in deep breaths to calm her anxious beating heart.

'I know that was hard, child.'

Sophie opened her eyes and focused on the ceiling. 'You have no idea' she thought.

'If you had told him you are the destined child, then he would tell the Chief. You must unite the thirteen creatures.'

Sophie sucked in a breath. 'But why me?!' She shakily took in a breath, eyes tearing up as she felt like she would cry.

Sophie hated to lie, especially to those who cared for her.

'Deep breaths my child.'

"Fuck your deep breaths!" Sophie swore, screaming out loud in frustration. "I hate this! I just want to go home," she cried out, falling to her bum, leaning her back against the wooden door.

'My child... your home is the world I fear will be destroyed. That is why I believe in you. Even if you do not yet.'

Sophie sucked in another shaky breath. "I can't do this... I can't lie to them," she whispered.

'You can. You will. Just hold on a little longer.'

Sophie let out a big huff. She opened her eyes and stood from the ground.

Making her way to the wardrobe, Sophie changed into the white nightgown set aside then crawled into bed.

With every last bit of hope in her heart, she listened to the voice. She went and held on to her secrets a little bit longer.
