Bathroom

Lanie only packed clothes good for one week to her suitcase, her cosmetics, toiletries and hygiene kit on her backpack. She also brought her notebooks just in case someone goes to her apartment while she is staying at Tyler's. She looked around to her room to make sure that she did not forget anything. She nodded before going out to her room together with her baggage. She turned off the lights and unplugged all the appliances except her refrigerator. When she was satisfied, she finally went outside. He saw Tyler leaning on the railings, then he went in her direction to carry her suitcase. Lanie didn't protest at that, her suitcase was quite heavy in addition to that her house was on the rooftop so they needed to take the stairs. Tyler carried her suitcase like a feather. He put it down when he needed to open the trunk and put her luggage on it. She just stood near the passenger door as she watched him do that. He glanced at her then opened the door for her. She went inside and fixed her seatbelt while Tyler went to the driver seat and drove.

They are silent inside the car, Lanie stole glances at Tyler sometimes but he does not look at her since they start traveling. He was just seriously looking at the road, focusing on driving. Lanie just looked outside and the cars passed together with them. There were so many thoughts in her mind but then again, she was scared to say it. She was always scared. She doesn't know what will happen next, especially since she will now leave with him so she needs to guard herself and not let her feelings control her, she also needs to use her brain.

When they reached their destination, Tyler silently helped her carry her suitcase again while she carried her backpack. When they entered the building Lanie quite lowered her head because they attracted some of the employees' attention. Well, some of them smiled at them while others were quite shocked. Then there's Tyler who just ignored all of the stares and greetings of the employees' as if he always did it! Due to embarrassment, Lanie just gave them a light bow then she followed Tyler who was waiting at the elevator, looking bored. Lanie almost rolled her eyes at him. Geez, what would other people think if they saw her and Tyler entered his place, carrying her suitcase!?! They will probably think that they are now living together! But, isn't it true? They are now living together? Well, for Lanie, it is just temporary. In Tyler's, she doesn't know what he is thinking but she is quite sure that he is thinking that it is also temporary. Yeah, she hopes so, too. When they reached his condo unit, Tyler went straight to one of the vacant rooms and put her belongings there while Lanie, even though she went to this place not too long ago, still surveyed the whole unit. Her eyes stopped to Tyler who was walking towards her.

"Your room is just beside mine. I already put your things there." he said and proceeded to his kitchen. "Are you hungry?" he shouted from the kitchen. She went to where Tyler is and saw him checking his refrigerator for some foods to eat. She did not notice the time, it's already 8 o'clock in the evening.

"Not that hungry. Are you gonna... cook?" she said, quite suspicious. Tyler looked at her with his eyebrow raised. He took out chicken meat before closing the refrigerator.

"Yes. Why? Do you want something to eat?" he asked. Lanie shook her head. So, he knows how to cook.

"I'll just unpack my things." When Tyler nodded, she proceeded to her room. Even though she expected her room to be big, she was still surprised. The room wall was plain white with a queen size bed. There was a large mirror on the wall beside the closet on the right side of the wall from the door. It also has its own bathroom. It also has a flat screen television. And of course a big glass sliding window that has the view of the busy city when you open the curtains.

After checking her room, she organized her clothes in the closet, her cosmetics on the vanity table and her other things were still on the bed. She left the door open a while ago so she would know if it is time to eat but she was too preoccupied fixing her things so she did not feel that Tyler was already at the door, leaning there while carefully watching her. She just noticed it when she turned around to get her backpack.

"Oh! Are you done cooking?" She asked them to get her backpack and place it on the bed.

"Yeah. Continue that later. Let's eat." She followed him to the diner and saw fried chicken and rice. They eat peacefully without talking to each other. After eating, she volunteered to wash the dishes but Tyler said to finish what she was doing earlier.

After almost an hour, she finally finished organizing her things when Tyler knocked even though the door was opened, just to get her attention.

"My room is just beside yours." He said. She nodded, she already knew that because he said it earlier. She was about to turn around when Tyler spoke again causing her to look at him with wide eyes- she almost glared at him, actually.

"And it is a Jack and Jill bathroom. It's also connected to mine." Tyler said smirking before he left Lanie there, in a hurry to check that damn bathroom.
