Chapter 39- A Cold Jorney (2/3)

"The Kingdom of Arendelle, the one where their King proposed the hand of his eldest daughter, Elza, to marry you my son and heir a few months ago!"

And as soon as Stoick says this, Ruffnut's face twitches, she hates the fact that her boyfriend is now the most wanted for marriage at the moment.

In fact, Zagreus has received more proposals than Hiccup. Be it with princesses, merchants' daughters, or the women themselves who proposed to him. And no wonder, since our protagonist is very strong and has a flawless face, and apparently his draconic features were not disgusted by the male and female audiences.

But Zagreus did not care much for these proposals and refused most of them, only one interested him. It was a proposal from the Emperor of China himself, inviting him for a visit to meet his youngest daughter, who seemed to share draconic characteristics as well. (I already have a character in mind to put here, but share your dragon girls with me for a comparison, Zagreus will pay a visit to China from this world after the end of this Arc).

Zagreus will be sure to pay the Emperor a visit and see the differences between the two China.

But his thoughts are interrupted when said messenger enters the throne room with 2 guards wearing spears and low quality armor.

Stoick, now seated on his throne with a crown under his head, has an air of superiodadity about him as a true king should be.

The messenger and his guards quickly kneel before Stoick to show him respect.

King Stoick then nods for them to relax. Then the messenger, confused to be back in the throne room, asks.

"Your Majesty, if I may ask, why did you call us? I remember the lord rejecting our proposal!"

Stoick nods in agreement with what the messenger has just spoken and says.

"Mr.Tom, after some discoveries I have made recently. I decide to make you an offer, do you still need the help of my Kingdom?"

The King of Dragon's Wood asks more out of politeness, as he knows that the Kingdom of Arendelle does not have an army that could fight Drago. And Thomas, the messenger, anxiously replies.

"Your Majesty, we most certainly need your help!"

Stoick, who had already thought of what to ask in return for his help, begins to speak.

"We will make an Alliance between the Kingdoms of Dragon's Wood and Arendelle, I know that your Kingdom is known for the immense amount of Frost-Steel."

Said Stoick, making it clear what he wanted from them, Thomas realized the King's intentions and quickly said.

"And so it shall be done Your Majesty, the King had already foreseen this outcome and allowed me to accept such an arrangement."

For clarification purposes, the Kingdom of Arendelle is known to trade Frost-Steel, but only to a few select Kingdoms and in small quantities. And the few who have such metal in hand, say that the Blades made by a Master Blacksmith, freeze everything they touch.

Stoick nods, pleased to get such a deal but still visibly tense because of the danger Drago Bludvist posed. But he hides such emotion and says.

"Then it's done! Those who accompanied you back as reinforcements are our elite team, the Knights of Berk!" With pride in his tone, that Stoick says, and goes on to say. "Our elite team consisting of my Heir, Prince Hiccup Haddock. His bride, Ruffnut Thorston."

The King stands up as he introduces each of them, and the messenger, Thomas, is elated to see that the reinforcement they will receive will be the main team of the Knights of Berk.

It is common knowledge that the Kingdom of Dragon's Wood is famous for its army of Dragon Knights, trained by a wise man who supposedly appeared out of nowhere, but became immensely famous for turning ordinary soldiers into elite fighters, Master Shifu, was his name.

And guided into the wars by General Zagreus, known for literally being a Dragon Knight, rumors were forming about how he got his draconic features, but the most famous was that he ate the heart of the Dragon Queen.

But since several people had already tried this method and died after a few hours, it was speculated that the Dragon Queen's heart was special, or that only those who could endure the pain of having eaten the heart would be worthy of obtaining such power.

But the real truth still remained a mystery to all, And again this underscored the greatness of the team that was the elite of the elite in this tremendously rising Kingdom.

"General Zagreus, the ... " (give a nickname for Zagreus. Example: Alexander the Great.)

"Dagur, the second-in-command and a strategic genius. His sister, Heather, supremely talented in healing and equally talented in poisons."

And after some repeated introductions, with each side knowing more about the other, a contract is sent by messenger. It was more a gesture than anything else, but it had to be done.

They would leave the next day, on a large boat made available to transport the Dragons. The journey itself would be three days long per boat. Both the Knights and the Dragons needed to be in good condition for the war they would face ahead.

With the matter finally settled, everyone disperses to their respective homes to prepare for the long journey and to rest.

(Zagreus PoV)

As soon as I got home, I went straight to take a nice shower, first of all that armor stinks after a fight, and flying with Alduin makes it smell a thousand times worse.

{Don't blame me! You stink just as much as I do, you're half Dragon!}

Don't try to disguise yourself Alduin, tell me something. When was the last time you took a bath? That you went without stinking of sulfur?'

{....}

'That's what I thought. And then you ask me why you don't get a female, you have to be at least smelly my friend!' (Tip for all men, take a long bath before you go on a date with someone, and brush your teeth very well. There is no way to change if you are ugly, but at least be smelly and have good breath, let's help each other out!)

While taking my shower, I open my Status screen to see my progress. It has been a habit of mine to check my Status while taking a shower.

It was a very rich four years, a pity I couldn't train my most powerful skills, but it all gave me a great experience both in leadership and as a warrior.

I also managed to get my spirit energy to the highest Rank, now I just need to find an ancient beast to be my second spirit ring.

Well, I had confidence in pleasing my women on my own, but I won't deny a skill that only increases their pleasure.

And this Staff... the abilities it gives me are very good, I seem to be becoming more and more of a Jack-of-all-trades. (A/N: Tell me your opinions, do you think Zagreus' hair should turn white when he uses the Staff or do I keep the default black? Comment)

Hehe, I can say that I am satisfied with my progress. And in these 4 years, I got some interesting items and skills like the [Brotherhood Manuscript].

And with this book I got the Skill [Mastery in Concealed Weapons]. And successfully craft the Order's signature weapon, The Hidden Blades, which I enhanced them by coating with Black Iron.

It's not as hard as it sounds, at least making them isn't, but learning how to use them was a bit more complicated. Other than that, I have been trying to reproduce some Hidden weapons like the one-handed crossbow and the smoke bombs, but without success.

But, the other good news is that I now have full control of the Grass Sword, I have expelled the Interiorside Demon with the Flames of Life, and now I can modify the form it takes.

Yes, she who became the shield on the boat. Apparently she still has some sort of consciousness left, but I didn't notice any malicious intent so I didn't see a problem with having a weapon that defends me automatically.

And with my [Armament Haki], I can make everything harder and sharper than normal, completely nullifying the grass's natural weakness to fire. I've basically gained a metamorphic weapon with a sub-consciousness that helps me to always hit the target. (When I had the idea of combining the Armament Haki with the Grass Sword, only one word came to my mind, VERY OP)

Ahh, and before I forget. I have to share the fact that I am now engaged to three beautiful women: Tigress, Astrid and Heather.

Tigress has already made it very clear that she would be the first wife, and after being summoned, 2 years ago, she had the famous 'Girl-to-Girl Conversations' with her two other harem mates.

The engagement to Astrid was announced right after the Banquet, her parents couldn't be happier to see her with someone as strong, handsome and influential as I am. Sorry for the arrogance, I'm not like that. I swear.

*Ahem*

And after a visit to the island of the ancient Berseker tribe, after some negotiations, Heather's father accepted the engagement proposal. Which made an immensely happy Heather and I even got some very passionate kisses from her.

*Door opening*

I hear the door opening, but I don't need to look to know who it is, my sense of smell and hearing already knew the identity of who had entered.

My redheaded goddess enters the bathroom with nothing more than a towel that barely covered her well-developed body, her short hair, and ears that I never tire of looking at.

And from the look she was giving me, I will not sleep tonight. Not that I am complaining.

Tonight is going to be a long, long night.
