Episode 7

You never imagined this feeling. Now that you're feeling it, you can't explain the pain. You can't make it into words. You can only express it in screams and tears.

Today you realized that the enemy is not just outside the walls, it's inside of it too. Your family is gone. Your family is yourself from now on.

You watch as your mother's body gets buried into the ground, forever forgotten by some. It took every strength you have to not go there and try to wake her up.

You hated everything. You despised yourself because you didn't even notice.

"Y/n, if you're reading this, I'm probably not with you anymore. I'm sorry you had to find out about my sickness now. I'm sorry I hid it from you and your father. But all I wanted was you not worrying about me at all.

You're a great person Y/n. Humanity needs you. Save them. Save yourself too. I love you Y/n."

You stared at the stars as tears came out of your eyes. Your eyes hurt but even if you tried, you couldn't stop at all. You felt somewhat hollow because everything you saw as a child was now just a memory.

You felt numb.

You wanted to feel something so you started to punch the tree beside you. Your hand gushed out blood but you were still hurting internally.

"Cadet L/n! What are you doing? Stop that at once!" With your cloudy eyes, you still knew who the figure was.

"Levi!" You called him and stood up. You ran to him and hugged him with a forceful impact making both of you land on the ground.

You didn't care if you look pathetic, you needed someone to lean on.

You cried and cried on his shoulder until you visibly saw that it was wet. You were laying on a dirty surface but the Corporal didn't seem to care. It was as though he understood you.

"I-i'm sorry Corporal. I have always been a bother. It just felt like I was all alone. I w-was scared." You tried to say between your sobs.

"It's okay. You're not alone, Y/n. Even though it's not enough, you still have me." His cold voice was gone and this time his voice seemed like it was trying to comfort you.

You spent the night crying on his shoulders while he whispered soft things.

Even though you felt like this, the stars seemed to shine brighter today.
