Episode 8

A week has passed. You were all better because of the people around you.

"Hey, Y/n!" Eren said as you sat down next to him.

"Hey, Eren." You said.

"You seem to be in a good mood today," Eren said.

"Well, I woke up on the right side of the bed, I guess." You replied.

As you ate, your eyes scanned around the table and everyone was looking at you with worried glances. This was the first time you came out of your room again. You just ate and slept in your room for these past few days.

"Y/n, do you want my bread?" Sasha asked.

"No, it's okay." You said and stared weirdly at her. She never shares her food.

You looked at Eren and noticed something different about him. His hair was in a bun.

"Your hairstyle sure looks different Eren." You stated. It was so quiet in the cafeteria that you thought you were the only one talking. You felt that all the eyes were on you and they looked at Eren for a second when you mentioned his hair.

"What? Is it weird? My hair just grew longer and it got annoying. I decided to go to cut it later but in the meantime, I guess this will do." Eren said.

"It's not bad at all. I like it." You said while smiling at him. It was the first time you smiled again.

You heard a 'tch' in the distance and a chair sliding against the floor. You looked back and saw Corporal Levi leaving.

You got curious as to why he didn't finish his meal for the first time. So after a few minutes, you went out too and tried to find him.

You heard something coming from the boy's bathroom so you took a glance.

You saw Levi, tying his hair…

...in a bun?

'What was he doing?'

"Corporal?" You said.

You saw him jump back a bit when he heard your voice. He was that shocked?

"Y/n! W-what are you doing here?' He asked you with wide eyes.

"The question is…" You replied. "What are you doing?"

"It's none of your business. Now go back to the dining area and eat." He said while getting rid of the bun he made.

"Yes, sir." You said and just agreed to what he said.

"I will need someone to accompany me while I shop for cleaning supplies and other necessities for our squad. I can't possibly hold all of it." Corporal Levi announced to his squad.

"Y/n here is volunteering, sir!" Eren said as he pushed you in front.

You were shocked by Eren's actions. That cheeky guy. You glared at him while Levi looked at you.

"Very well," Levi said.

The next thing you knew, you were on a horse with Humanity's strongest. You were really nervous. You didn't know if you should cling to his shoulders or waist or if you're even allowed to do so.

"What are you waiting for, brat? Do you want to go flying and land on your face?" Levi asked.

"B-but, sir-" You tried to say while looking down on your feet.

You heard him click his tongue. He suddenly yanked your arms and made you embrace his waist. You continued to fidget as the horse you were riding on started to move. Your hair got lifted by the air as you leaned nearer to the man in front of you. And that's when you started to smell soap, windex, and something else. It took you a while to realize that something else was Levi.

It was like a flash and you were at the market already.

You climbed down and followed him.

"It's on sale!" Levi said as he looked at the stores full of floor wax and brooms. He raced through the mothers that were snatching the cleaning supplies so that they won't run out of it considering how many people were there.

Levi looked like a mother in distress. You laughed as you watched him fight with a woman because of a sponge.

He returned with bags and bags of things. You didn't know what most of them were.

"Thank you for waiting," Levi said as he handed you all the things he got. It was really heavy.

"My pleasure, sir." You said while grinning.

You rode to the headquarters as you yet again leaned next to him as you enjoyed the warmth he was giving out.

"Cadet L/n. We're here." He said.

You let go of him and instantly felt cold. You saw him let out a shiver too.

Before going inside, the Corporal stopped you and asked something.

"Cadet L/n?"

"Yes, corporal?" You replied.

"Were you just sniffing me back there?"
