Back at the dojo Arthur could feel his ability reaching the origin rank and now all he needed was a bit more channeling and he would have his breakthrough.

Inside his body Arthur was soon interrupted by the sudden appearance of a figure.When the figure stepped out of the darkness he could see the figure to be himself.A reflection made by his ability core in other for him to breakthrough.

For one to be able to reach the origin rank he had to battle with his own reflection who wields an upgraded form of that person's ability.This upgraded ability would be what the person would get once he's reached the origin rank.

However this only takes place once and that is when a person is becoming a true awakened or rather when a person is reaching the origin rank.This was why it was known as the origin rank.

To know the roots of your ability and how much power lies within it.Arthur stood up walking towards his reflection.Miss Jade had told him about it.In fact every student knew since they were being taught about it in the academy.

The reflection stared intensively at its original and said nothing.He used his finger to scratch his arm showing a deep cut.Blood began pouring out.Arthur stood there and was intrigued on what its reflection was doing.

The blood however had been hardened to the extent one could never tell if it's blood.He aimed his palm towards Arthur and the hardened blood began changing it's shape.Before he knew it there was a blood spear aimed at him.It shot at an incredible speed towards Arthur.

Arthur saw the speed with which the blood spear was using and knew he couldn't dodge it.One thing he knew though was a skill he could use.Arthur tried activating flash step but to his dismay the system did not appear and the only thing he could do was raise his hands to block.

The blood spear however pierced through his two hands and got stuck but the power behind it's speed was enough to throw Arthur off his balance and send him flying."I'm lucky my body had been refined or else I could have died"He inwardly said.

Outside his body blood was flowing down his mouth as he lost his composure.He however straightened his back up and tried to continue his channeling task.If Arthur ever hand a thought about this being an easy task then now he didn't think so.

Arthur slowly got up and couldn't even feel his hands anymore,that attack really did a mark on him.Nevertheless he wasn't ready to quit."if I can't manage to activate the skills using the systems help I guess I'll just have to do it without the system"

Arthur's figure disappeared and reappeared behind his reflection swiping his fist across the air.The reflection however had sensed his presence and dodged his attack countering with a fist of its own.

Arthur saw the fist coming his way and grabbed onto it gently propelling himself upwards.He held tightly on his arm and using all his strength managed to raise his body up slamming him onto the ground.

He leaped backwards afterwarss creating a distance between him and his reflection.The reflection however stood up without any harm done to it and began walking slowly towards Arthur.Its movement however changed as he started running towards him.

One thing Miss Jade had thought him was to always be calm during a fight even if he was on the losing side.The calmness could always help him at the end.The reflection soon formed a blood sword and slashed towards Arthur.

Arthur did his best by backfliping to dodge the sword slash."wait a minute...can't I also use my blood manipulation against it".With this new found thought as soon as he landed he stretched his hand out and manipulated the reflection's blood inside him.

The reflection soon found itself unable to process what had just happened.Its arm had been blown off.Using this to his advantage Arthur controlled the blood to form a hardened blood katana.

Arthur's hardened blood katana could be said to be much more powerful than the blood sword his reflection had created.

Both of them kept exchanging sword strikes and no one seemed to be on the losing end.Arthur slashed upwards towards the chin of the reflection.The reflection noticed this and slashed from above to counter.

The reflection however could notice how Arthur had changed the trajectory of his blood katana.It was too late for him to block now and indeed it was.Soon after it could see his own body falling to the ground.Its head had been slashed off cleanly.

Arthur dropped his blood katana to the ground and couldn't stop breathing heavily.

For a second there he really thought he was a goner.But now was not the time to think about the fight because he had done it.

He had finally reached the origin rank.His face now brimming with excitement.He was now close to becoming powerful.Not close but at least he knew where he was heading.

Outside his body the crimson glow which had enveloped his body had now brightened up.Soon afterwards it died down.Arthur slowly lifted his eyelid and could see the scenery of the dojo.When he decided to stand up he was surprised by his new body.

He could feel his whole body had been refined very well.Not the type of refinement you would expect after breakingthrough to the highest rank but the type in finally being able to become a true awakened.

He could feel he has had an increase in strength after reaching the origin rank.This was what every breakthrough brought.Once you breakthrough you get a significant boost in strength and your ability.

Arthur for instance had unlocked the next stage for his blood manipulation which was basically him being able to create weapons or items using blood just like what had happened when he was breakingthrough.

In all Arthur had leveled up five times.2 due to his exp and the 3 being his rewards.That would then mean a +7 to all stats.

Arthur knew very much about the evolution of his blood manipulation.Since it was common knowledge that when one makes a breakthrough his ability evolves and then the individual unlocks certain ways to use his ability.
