"Hm, I see. I should probably choose my tool before the monster is generated. Since I am in the desert, the monster they will generate will definitely be a desert-type creature.", Travis thought as he selected the 'click here to reveal tools' section on the hologram.

With a tap, another hologram that represented the tools section was generated.

"Hm, I see", Travis muttered to himself as he placed his hand on his chin.

Travis was no fool. He knew exactly what the test was about. They just wanted to know if the students can make wise decisions. That is the main reason why they made it so that the participants who are allowed to pick the tools (That is, the normal people) have only one choice.

"Hm, let me pick explosives. After all, I am in a desert and the only thing they can send will either be rocky or sandy.", Travis thought.

"Hm, I guess that I would have to pick the nuclear explosive. At least, that one is better!", Travis thought as he selected the nuclear explosive. Another pop-up then showed in front of him.

With a sudden distortion in space, a teleportation array opens before Travis. And in its centre laid a red object that looked like a grenade.

"Oh, so it's here already!", Travis said as a smile appeared on his face. He then went to pick it up. The nuclear explosive looked like a grenade, however, it was red and had a more streamlined body. With a smile on his face, Travis proceeded to sit on the hard ground of the desert whiles staring at the plain sky, hoping to enjoy some serene time.

However,

*Ping... Ping.... ping....!*

The appearance of a message suddenly shows up in front of Travis dragging him out of his trance.

[Monster: Rock golem]

[Grade: C]

[Description: Rock golems are a type of earth-type elemental creature. They have two arms and two legs, which are well covered by their rock-like skin. Their skin which is usually brown darkens into black as they grow stronger.

They have six eyes which sit gracefully in their sockets and can often make them appear to be honest. Their eyesight is impressive. however, their hearing is not.

They also have small horns on their feet which they normally use to hunt down prey.]

After reading the message, Travis sighed. He didn't expect the teachers to be so shameless. They intentionally send you a monster who is stronger than the weapon you pick.

After releasing the sigh, Travis went into a fully focused state. He didn't want to lose his focus since he didn't know where the monster will be generated from.

He then spread his consciousness to determine any abnormal movement in his surroundings. From Travis, huge invisible energy spread around him. They travelled up to twenty metres before they vanish.

The technique Travis was using right now was given to him by Drey. It was called the soul-sensing technique. The technique was one of the few techniques he really suffered to comprehend. However, it took him about five days to fully comprehend it.

By entering a meditative state of mind, the user of the technique can spread his consciousness to his immediate surroundings making them see whatever was going on around them. The technique focuses on the user and then spreads out in a form of ripples which can travel at almost the speed of light! and moreover, the technique was also used in sensing mana. It was more like a third eye than anything!

"There!", Travis said as he rolled on the ground dodging a huge hand made of rocks as it appeared from the ground where he was previously standing.

*Boom!*

With a huge boom, a large hand made of only rocks appeared from the ground, spreading the desert's sand apart. Luckily, Travis moved earlier else he would have been mince meat by now. Travis then moved away from the huge hand to make space between the rock golem. and him.

**Bomb!*

With another boom, another hand appeared four metres from the first one. Then with a huge wave of sand, a figure could be seen standing up from the desert sand. Even though the figure wasn't clear enough due to the huge wave of dust, one could see that the figure had two hands and legs and it was about 20 metres!

*Roar~~~~*

A huge and deafening roar was released by the rock golem as it stood up from the sand showing its total dominance over the desert. The dust surrounding the Rock golem fell off and Travis was able to see the Rock golem really well.

It was a huge tank of rocks, with two hands and two legs. It was a huge rock-like creature that had its body armoured with rocks making it a defensive type of creature. It was about twenty feet tall and based on its huge size, it should weigh around ten tons! Its weight alone would be able to sink it into the sand. However, surprisingly it was able to walk over the sand without sinking!

What was more surprising was its skin colour which was darkish brown indicating its level of strength.

*Roar!*

With another roar, a huge fist was thrown at Travis' direction with precision. If that punch hits, there was no doubt that Travis would die!
