Jim's power

A few minutes earlier...

"Hmm, where am I?"

Jim woke up feeling drowsy. His memory was clouded and he couldn't remember a thing. He then looked around him only to see Travis lying near him unconscious. The moment he saw that he rushed toward Travis to check on him. Only when he saw that Travis' condition was stable was he able to breathe a sigh of relief.

"BOOM!"

At this moment, huge explosions came from behind him. Turning his head toward that direction, Jim immediately revealed an angry look on his face. Currently, Jim was able to see Duane and Lance's fight. Energy ripples could be seen across the battlefield as Duane attacked Lance.

"It must be him! He might be the one who injured Travis!"

Jim gritted his teeth in anger as he looked at Lance who was currently fighting Duane. The reason why he was angry was that he suddenly remembered how he was captured and tortured by Lance.

Originally, Jim had also entered the Death ravine and was also heading towards the centre to find Travis. as a wise person, he was very cautious and didn't get attacked.

However, his luck ran out when he met Lance who had just defeated James. The moment Lance saw him, he attacked. Naturally, he was no march for Lance. Later on, Lance was able to capture him and tortured him till the moment when he was on the brink of death.

Lance then told him that, he had realized that he and Travis had a very decent relationship so he was going to use him as bait to get revenge. He then placed him into a spatial sack. A special small sack that could store a lot of items since they contain a huge space in it.

Lance then proceeded to the centre of the death Ravine, where he used him to lure Travis out. Jim remembered the pain and anger in Travis's eyes when he looked at him. He was surely blaming himself.

Travis then moved to attack Lance even though he was no march for him. And at that moment, Jim fell unconscious from the strain. However, he was able to imagine what happened.

Likely, Travis' attack hadn't worked and he was rather the one who was attacked by Lance. Even though he knew that it was merely from intuition. He also felt that since Travis was smart, he wouldn't attack Lance since he knew that he would be overestimating his strength. If that were to happen, then it would be for the greater good.

However, even with that in mind, Jim was resolute about attacking Lance. He couldn't just brush away that Lance tortured him and used him to threaten his best friend.

Remembering all this, Jim began to look at Lance with anger and hatred in his eyes. However, he knew he couldn't do anything. He was too weak. So weak that he couldn't even protect his own self moreover his best friend. Understanding all this, Jim felt very pained.

He knew that it was because of him that all this happened. However, he could only watch helplessly as his friends suffered for him. He realised that he was too weak. weak to the extent that his own classmates didn't put him in their eyes.

"Sigh, only if it worked," Jim sighed helplessly as he looked at his hands. As for what he was thinking about, no one knew.

"BOOM!"

Suddenly an explosion sounded behind Jim. Turning his head in that direction, Jim saw an enormous Dragon who was currently attacking Duane. 'Duane is in trouble, I must help him! But how?', Lance thought as he stood up.

However, before he joined the battle, Jim hesitated. He looked towards Travis before a look of determination flashed through his eyes. He then began running towards Duane to help him.

However, no one paid any attention to him, at this moment, they were all focused on Lance's water dragon.

'I can only hope that you work...', Jim thought as he began to run faster towards the battlefield.

"Hmm, so it worked..." Jim smiled with satisfaction as he looked at the sword in his hands. At this moment, Jim had managed to cut through the attack from Lance's dragon with his sword shocking the crowd.

Even Duane was looking at him with a dumbfounded look on his face. Duane seemed like he wanted to say something. However, it looked like he was hesitating. After some time, he took in a huge breath and then asked,

"Jim..."

"Hmm?" Jim turned around and looked at him with a slight smile on his face.

"Co, could it be that you, you have superpowers?", Duane finally asked, his voice somehow shaking.

Hearing the question that Duane asked the crowd immediately turned their heads towards Jim. They wanted him to confirm it. Even if they didn't say it explicitly, they truly wanted him to confirm if the guesses in their heads were true. Even Bryan was no different.

"Well, about that, it is true I have superpowers, but..." Jim said.

Hearing what Jim said, the crowd couldn't help but gasp in shock. However, even with that, they still kept quiet waiting for Jim to finish his sentence.

"But what?", Duane asked. Even he wanted to hear what Jim was about to say.

".... I just fully awakened it", Jim said.

As for people like Lance and Bryan, they had to train with their powers in order to finally reach this level where they were able to look down on their classmates.

Seeing the crowd's adoring look when they looked at Jim, Lance began to gnash his teeth in anger. This caused Lance great dissatisfaction since he always believed himself to be above all the students. And now, they were comparing him to the trash that he believed wasn't on his level so how could he not angry?

At this moment, Lance turned to look at Jim. However, when he turned, he could see that Jim was already looking at him. Moreover, dense killing intent could be seen in his eyes. Subconsciously Lance began to feel uneasy but he was unreconciled that someone who he believed to be trash could make him feel fear.

So he burst out laughing,

"Hahahaha! could it be that you are planning to fight me? Even Duane was unable to do anything and you think you can stop me?", Lance said. furthermore, his tone was very mocking. As if even though Jim was able to cut through his attack, he didn't care.

Seeing the mocking look on Lance's face, Jim merely smiled coldly. Seeing the look on Jim's face, Lance felt a shiver run down his spine. Even with that, he still acted as if he wasn't affected by Jim.

"Swish!"

Suddenly Jim attacked. Within a split second, he was already in front of Lance as he threw a punch out. Seeing his speed, the crowd again gasp in shock! The speed that Jim was actually currently showing was not inferior to Lance's top speed in the slightest. It could even be said to be slightly faster than Lance's top speed.

As the punch headed for Lance's face, Lance immediately tried to dodge but he quickly realized that he couldn't dodge the attack.

"Damn it!" Lance cursed out in his mind as he decided to defend himself with the water fist he created.

The punch finally landed however, the crowd were shocked when they saw what had just happened. They were all looking at the centre of the battlefield in disbelief.

They just couldn't believe what they were seeing.
