-Akame Beach-

Broly never truly got to experience the real sensation and amusement of having fun at the beach. To the Saiyan, it was but a large body of water near the sand. Why would people enjoy it? He never understood it, Vampa had deserts and barren wasteland and he experienced the view of the vast ocean on both Earth and Earthland. Yet aside from finding them beautiful initially, he didn't have that big of an opinion on them after the passing of time.

Though now he found himself standing on the sand with the full view before him, marveling at the sight of the people around having fun, laughing and playing. The sun hung high in the sky, casting its radiant rays over a picturesque beach. White sands stretched out as far as the eye could see, and the crystal-clear waters of the ocean beckoned with their gentle waves. Seagulls circled above, their cries carried by the warm, salty breeze—a complete contrast to the silent atmosphere he expected previously and one that actually intrigued him.

"So this is a true beach," he commented, seeing a group of people hit a ball with their foot and pass it along to each other. It looked fun, a part of him wanted to try it. Then there were dozens of small vendors selling countless different types of food ranging from grilled skewers to ice cream. "Those look tasty…"

"Like it?" Next to him appeared Mirajane, wearing clothes similar to Aquarius and Cana which she called a bikini. Colored blue which only covered her chest and bottom, which showed off the curves of the supermodel. Her bountiful breasts that could rival Lucy's and toned smooth legs along with her pert rear made it hard for anyone to ignore her presence. She pouted on the inside when she noticed that Broly was just looking her like a normal person. He'd seen plenty of such clothing on the girls appearing inside those magazines Lucy read. She looked… good. "Seeing how you're reacting to everything around here, it really is your first time."

"It is," he admitted with a growing smile on his face, his joy beaming visibly for those around him to see. "It looks so alive."

"Fufufu~! You remind me of Elfman when he first came to the beach, though he was very shy back then to even take his top off. It was so cute~!"

"Nee-san! That is not manly!" Behind her whined the burly sibling, unable to believe his sister would reveal the last embarrassing moment of his life. Wearing a short blue swim trunks similar in color to Mirajane, he walked over while holding a large piece of wood that drew Broly's attention.

"What's that for?"

"This? It's the manliest activity anyone can do at the beach… SURFING!" With a shout, the white-haired wizard rushed to the shore with a large grin on his face. Water splashed everywhere as he ran deeper into the water until it reached to his knees. Placing the board on the surface before laying on top of it, Elfman paddled toward to open ocean until he was far enough to gain momentum with the waves — further impressing Broly at the Take-Over Beasts activity, wanting to try it out as well.

However before he could go any further on following this course of action, his arm got pulled by a smiling Mirajane, not noticing his arm being buried in her cleavage. "Don't go into the water while still wearing your clothes, you dummy."

Just as she said, he still wore a new cloak Lucy got him as a surprise present after completing their first S-class mission, with the same ability to change color based on his emotions. But again, it always changed to emerald green whenever he tried it on. The same pair of pants with Ba's fur around his waist and thick boots. The man had to agree that compared to everyone else here, he was wearing far too much for the occasion.

"I did tell you we were going to the beach, how else were you planning on taking a swim?"

"Huh? Well without my clothes obviously." He replied to her while taking off his cloak, having Mirajane get caught off guard as she didn't expect him to actually do it so easily. Though her reaction soon turned to shock as he started to loosen his pants — forcing a full-on blush on her face before she quickly scrambled to stop him.

"Woah there, wait a minute!" Exclaimed the Take Over wizard.

"Eh? Is something wrong?"

"Of course something is wrong! Why are you taking everything off in front of everyone?" She asked after pushing Broly to the of a boulder making sure he was out of sight to not cause confusion. She knew the man was pure and quite innocent but this level of boldness she hadn't expected.

"But whenever Aquarius and I go for a swim, I always take off my clothes as it's easy to keep them dry and she never seemed to mind."

"That Celestial Spirit again," seriously, she needed to have a talk with Lucy about her summons teaching the wrong things to Broly intentionally! But then again… it wasn't so bad if they were somewhere more privat— "Wait, that's not what I should be thinking."

"Hm? You say something?"

His visible confusion made it that much harder for her to tell him anything negative. 'Wait, why hadn't Lucy ever corrected him if she lived with him for a few years?'

A small smirk emerged on the white-haired wizard's face as she imagined the look on Lucy's face if she were to bring this matter up. That girl acted so innocent but who would have thought she was a cunning little minx? 'Wait, Erza was the same at first, she didn't really care that much and even dragged Natsu and Gray for a bath whenever those two returned from their quests all dirty.'

"So this means you didn't bring any swimsuits with you?"

He shook his head at her question.

"Fine, you can borrow Elfman's. Something tells me that he's the only one that has clothes fitting you here." As the short burst of embarrassment wore off and she managed to calm down Mirajane's eyes paid closer attention to the Saiyan's body, her attention wandering towards his chest where a large scar close to his heart came into view. This being the first time she saw him without the cloak made her spot more scars on his biceps, back, and shoulders. Momentarily stunned, her stuttered voice came out with a hint of disbelief. "What… what happened to you to get such wounds."

Without knowing, the girl made her way towards him and gently placed a hand over the scarred skin. Feeling the rough texture and muscles behind that made her believe they were sculpted from a boulder. She recalled Erza giving hints about the condition inside the Tower of Heaven and couldn't help but associate these two things together. "Does it still hurt?"

"Ah, it's been a long time since I got these. They've stopped hurting since then." Said Broly, now understanding why Lucy and Aquarius told him not to show off his upper torso in public, if Mirajane had already reacted like this from scars he got long ago during his training then he didn't want to imagine everyone else's reaction. Natsu would probably find it cool, Gray as well and Elfman included. "Don't look so sad, I'm not sad about getting them, I don't even remember how I got a few of them!"

He tried putting on his biggest smile to reassure her and not have her worry too much. However, she continued to caress his chest, no longer paying any attention to her surroundings and leaving him lost on what to do. He went further by touching the other scar on his arm, sending a wave of a particular warmth sensation around Broly's body. A similar reaction he gets whenever Aquarius gives him a massage or when he gives her one. But this didn't feel like the right time and place for it, so with a bit more force in his tone and gently putting his hands around her shoulders, he called her. "Umm… Mirajane?"

Using her full name seemed to have broken her out of the trance as she got startled, taking a step backward and placing both hands behind her back. "Ara, sorry about that. I got caught up in the moment, hope you didn't mind it?"

"Of course not, I was just wondering if you were okay as you behaved kinda weirdly back there." Putting his hands over his chest, he made sure to hit it a couple of times, letting out loud meaty thumps. "I'm all fine, don't underestimate me. We should join the others, they should be ready by now."

On cue, both heard the shouts and cries of their guild members in the background.

"The ocean!"

"The water looks so clean!"

"Hell yeah, this place smells amazing with all the food!"

"Aye!"

Lucy, Cana, and Natsu rushed out with Gray and Levy all joined with equal enthusiasm. Cana wearing a striped red bikini while Lucy has a white one with a floral pattern. Levy had a blue-yellow swimsuit. All three of the girls and the two boys jumped into the water together.

"Well the others are having fun," Mirajane noted, chuckling at the sight of Gray and Natsu already starting to quarrel with each other, both trying to drown each other. Cana, Lucy, and Levy having fun throwing a giant inflated balloon, two of the members not noticing or caring how their own balloons were bouncing around that made some of the other members stare. Happy flying next to the food stall, staring hungrily at the food with Broly having the same ex— "Wait what?"

Looking behind, she found the Saiyan had indeed vanished and she hadn't even noticed! When did he even get there!? A giant man like him usually made a lot of noise and went running around like her brother… "Ah, he's like a child."

Despite that frown and mature aura around him, it became clear very early on to Mira how pure and innocent the man actually was in truth. One who behaved completely opposite to Natsu yet shared plenty of parallels between them. "I wonder what he'll be like accompanying me to a photo shoot?" He didn't initially have any reaction to the bikini she meticulously chose for her first time on the beach after a long time. But some of the fashions used during the shoots were very much lewd enough to have the most stable of men have a reaction.

"You will do what?"

"—!?" A jolt struck her as she heard Erza's dry voice right behind her. "O-Oh my, it's not good to sneak up behind people like that, Erza." She said to the redhead behind, in contrast to Lucy wearing a black colored bikini instead. Though, unlike the rest, her jovial mood was nowhere to be seen as she closed the distance between them and stared straight into Mirajane's eyes with a stern glare.

"Just what games are you playing here?"

"Games?" Mirajane looked at her, confused. "I have no idea what you are talking about."

Unfortunately for her, Erza wasn't swayed by her words in the least bit. "Don't pretend to be clueless. Why did you plan on bringing Broly with you to Akame Beach without telling anyone in the Guild?"

Mirajane's usual smile stayed unchanged, staring back at the redhead with a calm expression. "He was feeling down as I'm sure you're aware of it. Why does the idea of helping out a fellow member bother you that much? You aren't the only one allowed to cheer him up."

"I don't mind people helping him, he's not an object. But for you to not only reserve two spots in Akame Beach of all places… don't push things too far, Mira. He's not familiar with such things and I don't want him to get hurt or for someone to use him for their own gain."

Now it was Mirajane's turn to lose her smile, pushing her chest forward against Erza's while her voice turned slightly deeper. "Are you saying that I'm a danger to him? I don't think I follow why or how you came to that conclusion."

Erza didn't back down, "I'm not saying you are trouble or anything like that. Just don't mistake his good nature for anything else. He's just trying to make friends and family, don't try to change that to anything he doesn't grasp yet."

"And who are you to decide that?" Pushing back against Erza, Mirajane did not want to let this matter go so easily without fighting back. "You may have known him first but I believe that Broly is more than capable of handling himself without having someone else meddle with his life like this. And what does it matter to you what I'm planning on doing? I just want to help him and make him feel more at ease."

"You're lying, I can tell you have some hidden agenda somewhere in that head of yours. You've always been like this, you little demon."

"Oh yeah, and you have a bad habit of meddling with other people's business when you're clearly not needed, bitch." She whispered that last part near Erza's ear, her voice turning slightly demonic and completely different from her usual self.

"You'll regret this."

"Try it."

In the middle of eating their food under a tree, Happy suddenly started shivering. Feeling a scary sensation coming from the boulder on the other side of the beach. "Something scary is happening over there." He said, looking at the Saiyan beside him devouring an entire plate of meat skewers and fruits the waitress kept giving him.

"You'll finish up the hotel's entire storage at this rate… even Natsu doesn't eat that much." The cat worriedly looked at the mountain of plates near them, yet Broly on the other hand didn't even look to be anywhere near done satiating his appetite.

"You're going to finish that?"

"Don't touch my fish!"

Seeing the cat so vehemently guard his stash despite it being more than anything it could handle made the Saiyan smile in amusement. "I think Mira and Erza are having fun, Master told me they are each other's best friends."

A light flashed in the distance as a multitude of swords began appearing in the sky and crashing towards the spot he came from. "We might need to calm them down, they might destroy the beach at this rate."

"Don't worry, they are just playing around." He waved his hands and sent a Ki blast straight forward and blasted away a stray spear that nearly pierced a traumatized Happy. He couldn't see much of what was going on back there, but for a brief moment, he saw a laughing Mirajane running away while holding what seemed to be the top of Erza's bikini.

"Nooooooo! This is too scary!" Shouted Happy, flying behind his back and using him as a shield while he continued to enjoy his meal.

"Hmm, it's going to rain soon." Paying no attention to the animal's continuous wail of despair, he stared at the sky which began to change rather quickly. Dark clouds gathered and spread rapidly, casting a shadow over the beach. Broly and Happy exchanged curious glances as the once clear blue sky turned a foreboding gray, noticing a handful of people at the beach packing up and heading inside.

"That's what you're worried about rather than Erza and Mira there!? Look, even Natsu and Gray went to hide inside the forest!"

Ah, this wouldn't do. If it started to rain then everyone would be forced to return back inside the hotel and stop having fun. He still wanted to surf with Elfman and play around with the group.

"Steady and gentle, it's going to rain again." Both Saiyan and Cat noticed another person appear near them, a woman who stood out like a sore thumb due to the type of clothing she wore. A heavy jacket with a hat that covered her head, apparel someone would wear in the middle of winter rather than at the beach. Holding a small umbrella and sipping on some cocktail juice with a monotone expression on her face.

"Who's she?" Happy asked, still hiding behind Broly and staring at her warily. The weird woman in question brought out a deckchair, placing it right in the middle despite the sky growing darker from the clouds. A sign that it was going to rain heavily any second.

"Steady and gentle, Juvia has ruined everyone's day again," the mysterious woman muttered to herself, seemingly oblivious to the impending downpour.

"Is it normal for people to hang out outside when it's going to rain?" Broly asked, unsure how to react to this scene, asked Happy if he knew what was going on here — only to get a simple shrug from him.

"Not really, unless they want to get sick," Happy replied, still suspiciously eyeing the woman.

Sure enough, the first raindrops began to fall, one by one, at first, then more steadily. The light drizzle quickly turned into a downpour, and the beachgoers scrambled to find cover or head for shelter. Many were shouting their outrage at the drastic change of weather that came out of nowhere. Broly looked around, seeing the sudden chaos unfolding as people rushed to protect their belongings from the rain and ran for shelter. Erza and Mirajane were nowhere to be seen, with Lucy and her group already heading to the hotel with a saddened face.

"Steady and gentle, now the silence has finally returned," the woman continued to sit on her chair, holding the umbrella that shielded her from the water as she started having her second glass of cocktail.

"This won't do, why did it have to start raining now?" Broly mused, his brows furrowing. The first time he visited the beach with his friends, to have it be ruined just because of a sudden downpour felt unfair.

"Not much we can do unless you want to clear the skies," Happy said with a sigh, though he wasn't exactly thrilled by the prospect of Broly attempting to control the weather.

Broly had a moment of contemplation. Then, with a determined glint in his eyes, he slapped his fist against his palm, an idea flashing into his mind. "You're a genius, Happy!"

"Of course I am! Uh… genius about what exactly?"

"I'm going to clear the skies."

Without further ado, Broly leaped to his feet, his energy rising with Happy dropping his fish at the man's statement. His aura flared as he began to gather power within himself. "Better not use anything too eye-catching, might invite trouble." A translucent film of Ki surrounded his body as he made sure to hold himself back as much as possible.

With his speed, he broke through the layer of dark clouds and reached the upper atmosphere. With the sun fully visible, he focused his energy around him and let out a single shout. "HAH!!" Broly's voice boomed with authority as he extended his arms down the dark sea of clouds. Every single droplet of water on his skin disperses away within seconds along with the clouds around him. Creating a giant hole for anyone looking above, an eye of the storm-shaped display that pushed everything away for many miles. As his power surge came to an end, there was not a single trace of the dark clouds. The rain ceased within seconds, leading some of the people at the beach to wonder what even happened. The sun finally broke through, bathing the beach in warm golden light once more. The beachgoers cheered in amazement, grateful for the sudden turn of events — most unable to spot the small dot in the sky flying back down.

"Woah! That's awesome!" Natsu shouted, firing a stream of fire from his mouth. "Where the hell is Happy? I want to do that as well!"

"Idiot! As if Happy is able to even fly that high in the first place. Knowing you, you'll mess something up and cause a firestorm!" Gray swooped in with a hard punch to the Dragon Slayer's skull.

From his spot, Broly saw the duo once again start to fight. Lucy and Cana looked at the sky suspiciously, they probably already knew it was his doing. He found it amusing, "I'll act clueless, it'll be fun to see their reaction."

But first came the matter of having Happy keep his mouth shut. The blue cat in question had his mouth hung open, eyes widened from pure shock. "Y–You tore the sky open! Scary!"

"Hahahaha!" Unable to hold his laughter, the Saiyans laughed genuinely for the first time after a long period. "I didn't break the sky, Happy. I just pushed away the clouds, even Erza can do it if she wants to… even Natsu!"

"You're seriously overestimating the others far too much." Happy's voice couldn't be any more dryer as he also rolled his eyes. Could Natsu do that? If he could then the Dragon Slayer wouldn't stop doing it multiple times a day just because it was fun and caused a drought in the area. Erza on the other hand… probably.

"Also, can you keep this a secret from the others?"

"Hmmm, how many fish do I get for this?"

"A fish that is bigger than me."

"Done." It wasn't even a debate anymore, Happy knew that Broly was perfectly capable of doing many things from flying and punching really hard. Surely he could acquire this mysterious fish he never heard about but was excited to eat it. Unless the others offered a better deal then he was keeping this secret for now.

As Broly was about to land back down, he noticed the woman having a similar reaction to Happy previously, disbelief painted clearly on her face as she spotted him descending. "Oh right, forgot about her." Well, they didn't know each other, so her seeing him doing the act didn't really matter.

"..."

Deciding to approach the speechless blue-haired girl, he gave her a small wave to show he was friendly. Remembering that she came here of all places to sunbathe, he most likely did her a favor. How she planned to do so with those winter clothes did not matter to him. "Hello, uh… I cleared the skies so you can enjoy your day. Let's keep this a secret between us." He said, seeing the woman have no reaction as she was still in a state of shock. "Okay… we'll be going. Have a nice day!"

Not knowing how to continue the conversation or if he'd done something wrong, Broly quickly grabbed Happy and left the area as quickly as possible. Leaving a cloud of dust on his path as Happy screamed in despair at the now sand-covered fish left behind.

Seconds ticked by, and the woman now having regained her composure looked behind where Broly and Happy left. A strange glint flashed in her eyes as she whispered, "Mister Sun?"

{Break}

-Akame Beach-

"Few, that was fun!" Shouted Lucy, taking a long sip of her drink inside a fancy restaurant.

After regrouping with the others, Broly continued to act innocent about the sudden clear sky and mentioned how he had nothing to do with it. Seeing the fully confident faces of Lucy and Erza break down into pure confusion was well worth it. After that, Cana had everyone play a game of hitting the watermelon, one where one got blindfolded and guided by people's voices to where the watermelon was in hopes of breaking it apart by hitting it with a stick.

Mirajane went first, for some reason always either nearly ending up hitting Erza's chest or bumping into him. He tried to calm down the redhead who kept getting annoyed at Mirajane, reminding her that she wasn't doing this on purpose and was blindfolded. Unfortunately, that didn't seem to work much as afterward Erza, when it was her turn, now tried to hurt her instead as she hid behind him.

Cana got too drunk to listen and never managed to hit the watermelon, Natsu accidentally smacked Erza in the head and got buried the next second while Gray turned out to be the only one who played the game normally. The same happened with him, though Happy did try to prank him by hitting the grave where Natsu was buried.

As for Levy, she stayed out of the mess and continued reading her books.

"Where did the others go?" Broly asked, not finding the tall man anywhere in sight. At the table, only he, Lucy, Gray, Levy, Erza, and Mirajane were present.

"Oh don't worry about them, Elfman and Natsu went somewhere with Happy to have a spar or something." Mentioned Mirajane. "Those boys… they never stop their antics even here of all places." A spar? Now he was curious to go see it as well, but everyone here was enjoying their moment, so he didn't want to ruin it.

"Ah, by the way, I heard from the other customers that Akame Resort hired some people from another guild to put on a show tonight. It's the first time I've seen such a thing. Aren't you excited?" Exclaimed Lucy with excitement, her eyes shining with the show that was about to start.

"Really? Hmm, it's not rare for wizards to accept similar quests to entertain crowds, but this establishment is also very strict with its rules and standards. So it must be people from a rather famous guild specialized in such things… Blue Pegasus?"

A shiver crept up Erza's spine as she heard the Take Over wizard's suggestions, immediately slamming down that idea. "No way! I rather listen to a drunk Master ramble about his past for an hour than be anywhere near that person!"

"Ah come on, Erza. You're being too dramatic, those boys aren't that bad. They just don't have personal boundaries but they try their best to be as kind as possible. The last time I went there, they offered me an unlimited supply of booze free of charge! Hah, one of the best days of my life."

"Cana… you ended up drinking away Bob's private stash as well when they explicitly told you not to go anywhere near that and managed to bill Fairy Tail for all the loss they suffered. They only offered you free drinks to keep you away from their private collection and you were using your looks to make it hard for them to say no." Commented Erza having memories of that particular period.

"What's it with you and Blue Pegasus?" He asked curiously, this being the second time Erza reacted like this at their names getting mentioned.

"Urgh, don't remind me. Just know that they are creeps and you shouldn't hang out with them. The last thing I want to see is you talking about perfume and men."

"Lucy did ask me to try some of those things. But they made my nose hurt."

"Why are you dragging me into this!?" Her face turned pale as Erza's eyes turned their attention to her. Quickly waving her hands, she denied vehemently anything having to do with this. "I-It was just a joke! Aquarius made me do it!"

"Speaking of her, where is she? Since she's a fish and we're at a beach, I thought she would love it."

"O-Oh… well you know… Celestial Spirits tend to be busy and stuff." Lucy avoided eye contact, getting a knowing stare from Cana next to her, forcing a small blush on her face. She was willing to risk a tsunami crushing her than having the mermaid hog Broly all day through her cunning manipulation. A part of her suspected that her Celestial Spirit would go beyond a certain line if they stayed alone together for too long.

Cana decided to support her friend, "Exactly~! I saw Lucy try to summon her but unfortunately, nothing happened, maybe next time?"

"Y-Yeah, next time…"

"Someone's coming," informed Broly, seeing the lights dim down as the curtains opened to the stage. "Hm?"

In the middle, sat a man garbed in a white suit and a fedora with similar color. Holding onto a guitar with a single mic pointed at his face.

"Huh, he looks familiar. Where have I seen his face again?" Exclaimed Levy, squinting her eyes. "Wait a moment…"

As the others were about to ask what she meant by that, the man on the stage started to sing.

"In a world of steel and fire, I'm a Dragon Slayer true! Shubiduba!

Got the power of iron, ain't nothing I can't do.

I've walked a dark and rocky road, punching skulls open.

But when the battle's raging, I know I won't lose — Yeah!"

Everyone around Broly instantly froze up, their faces cringing at the song being played and immediately showing their dissatisfaction.

"What the heck is this!?" Shouted Cana, covering her ears with a pale face. It felt like metal was grinding against metal! "It's giving me headaches worse than having a hangover!"

This sentiment was shared by everyone in the room, one after the other, every customer ran out the doors with the waiters following them. Some had fallen to the ground with foam coming out of their mouths. Pure pandemonium with many shouting at the man to stop and go away, throwing plates and utensils at him which he completely ignored and sang his next verses.

"I'm a heart of iron, with fire in my soul,

In the heat of the battle, I'm in full control. Dadado!

I'll fight for my guild, for the friends I hold dear,

Gajeel Redfox, I'm the one you should fear!"

The song for the most part was very pleasant in Broly's opinion. He didn't understand why the others were running away or shouting at him. The music coming from the instrument especially made him hum to the melody. For a brief moment, he gazed at the upper floor, where for a brief moment he felt someone's gaze on him. But unfortunately, the place was empty, though water dripped from the floor above. 'Huh, weird.' He paid it no attention and continued to focus on the song.

"Are you seriously enjoying this!?" Lucy just couldn't believe her eyes, Broly was actually enjoying this?

"—!"

Levy's eyes widened, as initially she wanted to run away from the horrible sound coming from the stage but held back as she heard his last line. "Wait, they hired Phantom Lord as entertainment!?"

Bzzt!

As soon as she mentioned that, the music stopped, much to the relief of nearly everyone present. Gajeel raised his hat and looked towards the group, his eye paying close attention to Broly's hand in particular which openly showed the guild mark.

He growled, his mood turning visibly sour, bad enough to throw up from his seat and start cracking his knuckles.

"What the hell are you Fairy Tail losers doing here? If you're here for a fight… then you'll regret that, gihihi!" His grin turned savage as he confronted the calm Saiyan. "You look like the strongest here. Want me to start with you?"

'He reminds me of Natsu,' was the only thought that passed through Broly's mind when facing this wizard.
