The Sun God.

Looking around to ensure that everything was fine, Yeshia noticed that the symbol on Azure's forehead was glowing brighter. She tried moving Azure's head to get a closer look but was shocked to find that its body temperature was way above normal, as if its whole body was on fire. Worried, Yeshia attempted to wake Azure up, but was unsuccessful. She got up and called for Nuwa, who was sleeping soundly. After several attempts, Nuwa finally woke up and asked, "What happened? Why are you still awake?"

"Something is wrong with Azure," Yeshia replied. "Azure's body temperature is extremely high. Can you please check what is happening?"

Nuwa approached Azure, touched the symbol on its forehead with her index finger, and injected her consciousness into Azure to investigate the problem. After a while, she opened her eyes and said, "He is undergoing a transformation...strange...I thought the transformation would take years because it happens in the second realm of cultivation, and most beasts have to cultivate for years to reach that level. But Azure seems to have skipped the first realm. It's unusual because he had just started cultivation. Even the dragons with highly pure divine bloodline take at least a few months to reach the second realm after beginning cultivation."

"We can only wait. I think everything will be alright," she said, in an unusual tone. Nuwa usually had a confident tone no matter the situation, but this time, Yeshia sensed something different in her voice.

Nuwa flicked her finger, and a small jade vase appeared in her hand, which she handed over to Yeshia. "Inside this vase are two healing pills. Feed one to Azure right now, and everything should be alright."

Yeshia opened the lid to find two green glowing round pills. These pills were small and had a strange scent. Yeshia couldn't decipher what the pills were made of, even though she had seen and collected many herbs in her life. She had never smelled anything like these pills before. However, because the pills were from Nuwa, Yeshia had utmost faith in her, so she fed one of the pills to Azure. Immediately after ingesting the pill, the symbol on Azure's forehead became even brighter, but the body temperature went down. Yeshia heaved a sigh of relief after checking the body temperature. She thanked Nuwa and returned the vase, knowing that the pills were magical and must have been very precious. Even the vase itself was an extremely expensive piece of art.

Nuwa refused to take back the vase and told Yeshia to keep it as she might need it if something like this happened again. Yeshia failed to return the vase, so she covered it with a piece of cloth and stored it inside her bag to prevent it from breaking. After adding more wood to the fire to keep it burning, Nuwa returned to sleep. Azure seemed alright, and even though it couldn't wake up, and the symbol was still glowing brightly, Yeshia believed it was a sign of transformation that would end soon. Yeshia wanted to learn more about the strange dream she was having, so she went back to sleep, hoping to see more of it.

After a few minutes, Yeshia was asleep. Nuwa opened her eyes, got up, and moved towards Azure, who was sleeping near Yeshia. She directed her finger towards Yeshia, and a strange blue, dome-shaped, transparent glass-like screen appeared above her, encasing her.

Standing besides Azure, Nuwa waved her hand, and the red-haired boy she had talked to in the morning appeared by her side once again. "What do you think is happening to this beast?" Nuwa asked the boy.

The boy moved his attention towards Azure. His beautiful golden eyes changed to terrifying red colour. Lowering his head, he moved closer to Azure. "Having a transformation at this stage is really unusual; there is a foreign soul inside this beast trying to slowly merge with the bird's soul. What's even more strange is that the unknown soul is trying to suppress the aura and bloodline of the bird."

Whether it was a human, beast, demon, or any other being, everyone had a unique bloodline from their ancestors. Sometimes a being can have more than one bloodline, but only the stronger bloodline can express itself by suppressing the other ones. Nuwa knew that Azure had a highly pure dragon bloodline that came from the legendary dragon god 'Shen Long.' In order to suppress that, Azure had to have a bloodline that was at least as dominant as the dragon bloodline, if not more powerful.

"What do you mean suppressing the bloodline? Azure has a dragon bloodline. How can the soul suppress it?" Yeshia was confused.

"That's why I said it's strange. The bird doesn't possess any other bloodline, but the soul is able to slightly suppress the bird's bloodline by somehow creating another bloodline. Although I don't know what type of bloodline it is creating, I can say that it's just as powerful as the dragon bloodline," the boy said.

Nuwa was even more confused after hearing what the boy said. Somehow the soul was so powerful that it was creating a bloodline. Although Nuwa doubted if it was truly possible, she didn't question the boy because he was her contracted spirit beast. She knew that as a cultivator and a daughter of a deity, there were endless possibilities for what cultivators could do. Her father was much more powerful than her, considered a deity, and worshiped by humans and cultivators alike. He was considered one of the strongest in the human continent, but she doubted if even he could do something like this. It was obvious that whoever the soul inside Azure was, it belonged to someone extremely powerful, maybe an old powerful legendary beast from another continent.

The red-haired boy moved closer to Nuwa. "I think you should just kill the girl and take this beast to your father," he said. "Perhaps he knows what kind of being is residing inside this bird. If you just stay here and waste your time, what if the soul succeeds in merging and gains control? We don't know what it can do. What if it is someone powerful trying to infiltrate this continent secretly? The whole continent would be in danger. Your father wi...."

Nuwa didn't let the boy finish his sentence. Once again, she waved her arm, and the boy disappeared. She moved towards Yeshia and touched the screen barrier she had created earlier in order to not wake Yeshia up during her conversation with the boy. The barrier disappeared after Nuwa touched it.

"Don't worry; I won't kill you right now," Nuwa whispered with a smirk on her face. She kissed Yeshia on the forehead and disappeared from the place without taking Azure or harming Yeshia.

Right now, Yeshia was dreaming. Although it was not about the white-haired woman this time, in front of her was a being with a human-like figure. The being was insanely huge, much bigger than the three-eyed snake she had encountered in the cave. Yeshia couldn't see the face or body of the being as it was hidden in the shadows. She could only see the silhouette of the being, which was at a great distance away from her but still looked insanely huge. Fortunately, the being was imprisoned inside an enormous cage about the size of a mountain, and the ground and the cage had strange ruins engraved on them, binding the being to the cage. Even though the being was imprisoned at a large distance away from her, Yeshia was still shaking with fear. This fear was not like the one she had shown in front of the three-eyed snake. It was a pure primordial form of fear. Just looking at the silhouette of this being had made Yeshia shudder with fear.

"CHILD, COME CLOSER," the being said in a voice that seemed ancient and so powerful that it destroyed the ground and the cage. Fortunately, the ground and the cage automatically repaired itself immediately. Yeshia braced herself, knowing it is just a dream or a memory, and it can't hurt her. She asked the being, "Who...who are you?" Even though she could not see the face of the being, she could still hear its scary laughter after she questioned his identity. The maniacal laugh started a fire, burning the land and the sky. The flames were higher than the mountains, but fortunately, Yeshia wasn't affected by the fire. The being finally stopped laughing and answered Yeshia's question. " IN THIS WORLD I AM WORSHIPED AS THE SUN GOD. MY NAME IS FENG"
