Demon core

Yeshia had always yearned for the ability to cultivate, but without a spirit root, her dreams seemed forever out of reach. So when Nuwa told her that despite her lack of a spirit root, she could still cultivate, Yeshia was taken aback. If anyone else had made such a claim, she would have dismissed it as wishful thinking, but coming from Nuwa, a respected cultivator, it seemed plausible.

Perhaps if she possessed the strength of someone like Nuwa, she could have prevented her father's death. The thought weighed heavily on her mind.

Nuwa explained that while spirit root was indeed crucial for human cultivators, other species had vastly different mechanisms for cultivation. Although Yeshia lacked a spirit root, she still had a demon core. As Nuwa spoke, Yeshia struggled to grasp the implications of her words.

"What do you mean, 'a demon core'?" Yeshia questioned, her puzzled frown deepening.

Nuwa drew closer to Yeshia and placed her index finger between her eyebrows. With a purposeful gesture, she sent a surge of spirit energy into Yeshia's consciousness, causing her to glimpse the core near her abdomen.

Yeshia closed her eyes, and in the darkness, she saw a small, glowing red orb, surrounded by a cloud of red smoke. She reached out to touch it but discovered that she didn't have a physical body; it was merely her consciousness focused at that point, with the help of Nuwa's spirit energy.

When Nuwa removed her finger, Yeshia's eyes flew open in surprise. She suddenly realized that her father was human, but it left her wondering if her mother a non human. Had her father kept her mother's identity hidden from her because of it?

"Why did my father never tell me about my mother?" Yeshia pondered, her thoughts racing. "And why did he tell me to find Lingxi, who knows about her? Is there something more I'm missing?"

Nuwa's voice broke through her contemplation, "Did you see the shining orb? It is extremely similar to a demon core. Although most humans don't know how demons cultivate, I do,they have demon core in place of spirit roots. And luckily I know how demons cultivate. I can teach you."

Yeshia felt a mix of emotions: disbelief, confusion, and excitement. She knew that this newfound knowledge could completely change the course of her life. And with Nuwa's expertise, she would finally have a chance to cultivate and perhaps even uncover the mystery of her mother's identity.

Yeshia was still suprised by the discovery. Although it could mean many things, yeshia was still happy about being able to cultivate. Nuwa flicked her finger once again and a plain metalic ring appeared on her hand which she handed over to yeshia "demons are not liked in human continent because of their cannibalistic and unorthodox behaviour.

Even though humans can't tell that you have any similarities with demons but cultivators can figure out the dark spirit energy around you. Take this ring, it can mask your identity from almost every cultivator". Yeshia took the ring, now even more grateful of nuwa. She gave her hope of becoming a cultivator again and also gave her a prescious ring to mask her identity. Yeshia has already herd a little about the violent and ruthless nature of demons due to which they are hated by humans so having the ring was extreamly important for her.

Yeshia wanted to quickly start the journey of cultivation but nuwa told her that they should continue the journey for today and will start cultivation from tomorrow. Yeshia agreed and started to collect a few herbs from the cave before leaving as they were super rare and could be sold for a great amount of money on reaching the village.

While yeshia and azure were busy collecting herbs, nuwa strolled out of the cave. On reaching the entrance of the cave a strange shadow suddenly appeared behind her transforming into a beautiful red haired boy.

The boy had big golden eyes and a beautiful tan skin. On his forehead were two little horns giving him an exotic rouge look. "I don't get the reason why you are doing all this. You decided to teach her demonic cultivation and also gave her a rare artifact 'the concealing ring'.

Yesterday when you found out that she is the source of the mysterious demonic energy burst, i thought you were going to kill her.

She has not even started cultivation yet and the energy burst from her was able to destroy the three eyed snake, even though it was a late first realm beast. killing a beast as powerful as that while is very abnormal, even 2nd realm cultivators struggle to defeat that beast . You should kill her. She can be a threat". The red haired boy said while following her.

Nuwa stopped in front of a tree and sat down. " Isn't it ironical that even after belonging to the wisest bloodline in the world, you still don't get the reason why i didn't kill her. Unfortunately I am not going to explain it to you. You will have to wait and see for yourself. If i kill her and bring her to my father, he'll reward me but my goal is something different, something infinitely better than any reward my father can give". Nuwa's demeanor right now is totally different from the innocence she displays in front of yeshia.
