"Who is that someone? Didn't we guess the truth last time?" Emma said.
"Dad do you believe I can do this?" Marina asked amidst tears. " I swear this..."
"What makes you think you can't do this when you've already done it?" Mr. Johnson asked. "Enough of your crocodile tears. Someone is coming for your hand in marriage just now. Don't dare turn him down." Mr. Johnson said.
It was Marina's turn to be shocked. Marriage? She almost regretted why she came home. She went back to her room to call Naysa and try to escape back.
"What do you mean marriage? What kinds of plans are those?" Naysa, who was in a bad mood after Jemmy telling her she can't join the entertainment circle shouted over the phone. "That's nonsense. You haven't been demanding anything from them for long. Who do they think they are? That's returning your good intentions with some bad things. Marina you can live without them ok? I don't care if they raised you but no one has the right to abuse you."
"How comes the information about me being assaulted was published?" Marina asked.
"When was it published? I didn't see that but I'll let Stenson handle that. What am saying is, you can't marry a man you don't love, whether you were assaulted or not!"
Cars we're hooting outside forcing Marina to cut off the reciever and go out to check, only to be told she was supposed to be leaving.
"Am not going anywhere dad. If you people want to cut ties with me, just say it by word of mouth. I can't just be given out like that." Marina refused.
"You should be grateful you bastard. Everyone knows you're not a member of this family. I only raised you out of charity. You have already lost your virginity yet someone wants to marry you you really have the guts to turn them down?" Mr. Johnson said.
"Am not that desperate dad. Whatever, I don't care. So what if am really a bastard? I can leave for good if you want me to, not giving me away just like that." Marina retorted. She then heard a familiar voice calling her, turning back, she saw Seth looking at her.
"Seth!" Marina asked wide eyed. "Why are you here?"
"Am here for you." He replied smiling.
"Are you mad?" Marina started.
"Dad, if she thinks herself too high, let me get married into the Gray family." Juliet cane forward.
"I actually paid to have her, not you." Seth replied without looking at Juliet.
"If you repeat that I'll curse you right now! You paid to have me? Am I an item to be bought?" Marina asked.
"Marina you understand I have had a crush on you since when we were in the university. Even after the news of your..."
Marina snorted before he could finish. Her phone rung and she pulled it out. The caller was Naysa. She picked up the reciever. "Sister!"
"Hank volunteered to come for you. Are you alright? Hope you are not being harassed. I swear I will..." Naysa was talking nonstop.
"Hey... What's wrong with you?" Marina asked. She could hear her walking in a hurry. "Why are you like this?"
But Naysa cut off the reciever. Trying to call, no one picked up.
"Will you hurry up? Don't keep our guests waiting." Mr. Johnson said. Juliet, who had been turned down snorted.
"Marina slowly walked back into the house. Her intention was delaying everything so Hank would arrive in time. Janet followed her in.
"Who do you think you are? Even after the news of what you did went viral, you still can attract such a rich man." Juliet said.
"Juliet will you leave me alone? All you people know is talking nonsense every time." Marina replied but Juliet suddenly slapped her hard.
"Even after taking you as one of us, that's what you have to say. You ungrateful bitch! Dad did you a big favor finding you a place in the Gray family..." Juliet continued talking while Marina cried holding her face between her arms when suddenly there was a commotion outside. Juliet rushed out.
"Where is she?" One man stood straight near the door. Me. Johnson bowed respectfully.
"Mr. Hank, we haven't offended you but you don't have the right to come in between our family matters." Mr. Johnson said.
"She isn't a Johnson, that's the real fact. Why would you be so heartless to trade someone's daughter just because she isn't a part of you?" Hank asked. When Naysa arrived home few minutes ago, she was angry and rushed in without talking to him but after talking on phone, she came back and asked him to help her bring back her sister. Being the good guy that he was, he did her a favor.
Seth stood impatiently outside. "Mr. Johnson, what do you have to say. Am running out of time." Seth said. Marina had come out of her bedroom when she heard Hank's voice. The two then walked out together without talking to anyone. Seth was at loss after all the money he had paid when he was told Mr. Johnson wanted him to Marty Marina her daughter.
"I'll give you my eldest daughter Juliet." Mr. Johnson said. Juliet jumped with joy and followed Seth who didn't seem to be happy about the arrangements at all.
Meanwhile;
Naysa left the castle driving alone madly down the streets. She wasn't happy after what Jemmy had told her. Her sister Arya made her love music, and since back then, she had dreamt of joining the entertainment circle one day. Now that she had her uncle busy somewhere and Marina had found a job, she didn't want to be the only one staying behind and doing nothing. But Jemmy had turned her down.
She parked and entered a small hotel which wasn't a hotel but a pub. Dallas Dean who sat alone thinking of what happened to his friend saw Naysa as she entered, sat alone and ordered a bottle of drinks.
She really was going to drink her disappointment out. She was sure Marina would be ok in company of Hank. She also carried her mini gun here so she didn't worry much about her safety.
"Young lady, can I join you?" One man came by, followed by more men who surrounded her.
"Fuck off!" Naysa had just drowned one bottle and was feeling drowsy.Dallas came by and being the blury man that he was, the men left to sit in the nearby corner. After all, this was the Dean's hotel.
"Naysa Haven, finally you're here after what you made us go through that day." Dallas leaned over and spoke on her face.
"What are you talking about?" Naysa stammered.
"You don't know? And all in all, you're the cause of James' death. He was my very best friend." Dallas said.
When Naysa's phone beeped, this time it was a video call from Jemmy who wanted to know where she was. She received it but before she could talk, she slept off, the phone dropping from her hands.
Jemmy stood alert in the few moments he looked at the screen. With his sharp eyes, he saw the background which was full of men and panicked when she didn't talk but hung up just that way. He left the castle with Stenson and few other guards and quickly rode to Dean's hotel at the far end of the streets
