A day later, in the base control room, Varion initiated communication with the hive base, where Isaac and his team appeared on the screen.

"Long time no see, Dr. Varion. Didn't expect us to come this far?" Isaac greeted.

"Dr. Isaac, are you surprised about today? We all have our goals. It's meaningless to dwell on that. I've come to reach a consensus with you," Varion explained.

Isaac, playing with a vial of T virus anti-disease and wind-borne drug, showed interest, intrigued by Varion's proposition.

"I have a substantial number of nuclear bombs, more than you can imagine. I can easily destroy you, but I choose not to. What I propose is simple: your people can attack my base, and my people can attack yours. Just avoid heavy firepower like missiles. You're free to use any biological weapons," Varion revealed.

Isaac, reading the transmitted information, couldn't hide his concern. The prospect of nuclear bombs in Varion's possession shook him. Varion suggested a mutual showcase of biological weapons, challenging each other's capabilities.

Isaac, regretful of not seizing the human evolution potion earlier, felt trapped. The nuclear bombs in Varion's possession scared him, disrupting the original purge plan assumptions.

"Do you want to dominate the world, Varion? Our umbrella is not something you can handle. You have me, and you have it. We either succeed together or fail together," Isaac declared.

Varion, confident and unyielding, dismissed Isaac's concerns. "I have the confidence not to fear your nuclear bombs. You can send one as a tribute, shoot first."

Isaac, nodding to Wesker, agreed, "Varion, you'll see a firework blooming."

Soon, an alarm sounded in the Las Vegas base. The screen split into two, showing Isaac's screen and a nuclear bomb soaring through the air.

Alice and her team, perplexed, questioned Varion's sanity, but he remained calm. In this moment, Alice felt the world shift, realizing that the conversation about nuclear bombings had become a casual exchange, highlighting the craziness of the world they now inhabited.

"Look, what is that?" An operator pointed excitedly to the screen.

A blue light emerged from the ground, striking the nuclear bomb in the sky in the blink of an eye, causing it to disintegrate. The bomb didn't explode but was obliterated.

The minds of countless people echoed with the same question: "What the fuck?"

Isaac couldn't remain seated. "How could Varion possess such a capability? The interception and destruction of nuclear bombs at this speed were beyond any known technology."

The Red Queen chimed in, "Doctor, after calculations, this energy ray was emitted from the Las Vegas base."

"Fucj... I know. What I want to know is what the hell is this thing."

Even the residents of the Las Vegas base were dumbfounded. Since when did their base possess such advanced technology? The blue light resembled an electricity-driven laser, but there was no research in this area at the base.

Moreover, the power near the Las Vegas base had been down for a long time. Using such a high-power laser required a substantial amount of energy. Where did Varion get it?

"Dr. Isaac, what do you think of our previous proposal? You can choose to let me blow you up directly; I won't mind."

They took the S1 group to fight against zombies in the city, honing their skills. Every day, they visibly grew stronger—super strength, and even Alice noticed something peculiar about these little guys. Abilities like teleportation? Eyes that resembled lasers?

Perhaps these people were clones of Varion—Varion Hale, S1 Hale. But why did they look different? That puzzled her.

Her clones were identical, with the same memories. However, the S1 group had diverse looks, memories, behavior habits, yet similar abilities—an enigma.

"Discovering lickers, 5 mutants."

S1 roared loudly and pounced directly. His super-fast speed drove his fist, smashing it onto the licker's head. With a bang, the licker crumpled to the ground like a pool of mud.

Once again, Alice fell silent. At the beginning, it took a team to defeat a licker. Now, each member could do it alone, or with their fists.

Their abilities and progress were terrifying.

"It's like they were born to fight..."

Jill stood beside Alice, sighing. Against such opponents in the future, there might be no way to counter them.

"What does Varion want to do?"

"I don't know. I can't see through this person anyway."

He conducts experiments on people without hesitation and takes in survivors. Which side is the real him? It remains an unanswered question.
