Entry to the Revolution

Erina looked across a few desks.

Desk Guy had a deadpan face as he clicked away on his keyboard. The light on his face faintly flickered, revealing the rapid amount of work he was doing.

With a sigh Erina opened the messages and sent a message to the manager.

Erina: Have you managed to find out where those 6 went?

Scott: Eastern server, they split between the two halves of the continent there.

Erina: Any news on what they're doing?

Scott: The team in charge over there are a lot more strict with situations like this. They aren't as keen on giving info of their players.

Erina: We are under the same employer.

Scott: Well it's not like we have a legitimate reason to request such info anyway. It's purely curiosity after all.

Erina: You couldn't lie and say it was necessary?

Scott: And risk my job? Tell that man he will be fine. I'm sure they will be back eventually. Worse case scenario they like it better at the east and stay there.

Erina: I will inform him of only the first half of that.

Scott: I have been getting praises for the work he has been doing. It seems to be incredibly beneficial.

Erina: To the company perhaps.

Scott: I know, that's why I still ask even though they keep denying me.

Erina: Inform me first if you do!

Scott: why not just tell him directly?

Erina: Don't worry about that.

Scott: ?

Scott: Ah, I see now.

Erina: You don't see anything.

Scott: Yes ma'am!

-End-

Clicking her tongue Erina closed the message program. The time the six have disappeared was longer than expected. Given their abilities they should've completed the quest already. After the incident with the professional competition their team had gained a lot of popularity. Many choosing to be fans the word of Six Lights was spread quickly.

Yet Team Six Lights was nowhere to be found. The amount of influence they had was ridiculous, but they weren't around to show it? This caused even more speculation to appear, with a lot of haters claiming the team was only there by the organizers. That they were given OP accounts just to make a fight entertaining and the players weren't even legitimate players.

All of this would have been easily avoided if the six were actively playing, but instead they skipped off to go play on another server. This left many fans dejected, many giving up on the team and moving towards other favorites.

This also left their most loyal and biggest fan upset, as shown by his complete focus in work.

Erina shook her head, he didn't base his enjoyment around them. Desk Guy was merely absorbed himself into his work to speed up time.

It still was a depressing sight, so Erina steeled herself and got up to approach him.

~ ~ ~

"This is the place?"

"Supposedly yeah."

A player looked around, "Uh, I dunno man. It certainly doesn't seem very. . . revolution-like."

"You think a revolution would allow people to know its home base that easily?"

"I guess not, maybe there's a password or something?"

A voice suddenly appeared from their sides, "You guys looking for the revolution base too?"

The two players turned to see a heavily armored elf. One of them answered, "Yeah, but I think we might've gotten the wrong coordinates."

The elf nodded in agreement, "This place is empty, you think there's a password?"

"That's what I said!"

"Well perhaps we can work together on this."

The other nodded, "Sounds good."

"Then let's search around for some clues."

The three began to dig through the bushes to search around. After ten minutes a fruitless searching the elf asked, "So why'd you decide to search for the revolution?"

"I saw a few videos of the other servers' conditions and couldn't help but compare. To think that we have it the worst?! I couldn't stand for it."

The elf looked over, "The other half of the continent is better you know. You could escape there."

The other player shook their head, "We considered that, but then we would only be running away from the real problems. We can't let our less fortunate brethren suffer while we skip off to better lands."

"How noble of you."

The player cleared their throat to hide their embarrassment, "What about you?"

"It irks me that someone like Perina just gets away with everything. But I can't do much alone."

"We all suffer in one way or another."

The elf paused for a moment, "I think I found something."

The two players quickly moved over in interest. They watched as the elf uncovered a metal token, a picture of the sun setting over water was inscribed on it.

One asked, "A medallion?"

The other added, "It's a sunset. What's that have do with anything?"

The elf pondered for a moment before speaking, "We might have to bring it to a similar place."

"But the sun isn't anywhere near from setting."

"It might just lead us somewhere. But where would we find a sunset over water?"

"There's a beach to the west of here. That might be a place to start."

"Then let's go!"

The three hurried towards the beach. Once they finally arrived they searched around the sand looking for anything that might prove to be a clue.

After another ten minutes of fruitless searching the elf dusted off their armor and stood, "Maybe we should give up."

One of the other players shook their head, "We already made it this far. Maybe we're missing something."

The other agreed, "I don't want to quit so soon."

The elf frowned, "Why are you so eager? We could just try again some other time."

A sigh escaped one of the players lips, "Because this place isn't fit for new players. My little sister has been having a growing interest in this game, she watches those popular clips almost daily. She's been begging me to use my headset, to tell her of my adventures."

The other player paused to listen.

They continued, "I don't have the heart to show her this bleak place. I want her to have those magical journeys that she dreams of."

The elf asked, "How old is she?"

"She turns sixteen within a few months. I wanted to get her a headset for her birthday. But with how the situation here is going. . ."

The other player inquired, "Why haven't you told me this?"

"I felt a little sentimental man."

The elf smiled faintly, "In that case follow me, I just got an idea."

They soon approached a cliff face. The elf pulled out the token and flashed it towards the wall. The cliff face quivered for a moment and soon an entrance appeared.

The two watched in astonishment. One immediately asked, "How'd you know?!"

The elf put the token in their bag, "Let me introduce myself. My name is Tilia, head of security in the revolution."

"Wait you're in the revolution?! Why did we go through all of that then?!"

"Like I said, head of security. Can't have anyone walk in and out of here. You have to go through a bit of a screening process first."

"So we passed?"

"Mhm."

"We could've been fooling you!"

"Oh I don't doubt that. I also don't doubt that we may have a spy lying in our midst. But the rate we have developed means that one or two rats won't collapse us entirely."

Tilia beckoned them, "Come in, I'll give you the basics."

They walked into the doorway to be greeted by a massive cave. Tons of players stood organized in lines, practicing various motions with their weapons.

Tilia gestured towards them, "We can't have some average warriors fighting for us. So we'll give you some training, let you properly hold a weapon and all that. The close quarter combat is mentored by Wrock. He may be a pugilist, but don't underestimate him. You'll be on the ground before you can blink."

She turned and pointed towards several magic circles floating in the air. Players stood inside them, firing various spells into the air, "That's the magic training. That one is mentored by Kan'na, she's the one who put together the illusion we entered through. She'll make sure you know how to use your spells efficiently."

Tilia stopped, "Since I won't be walking too far I'll just give you a vague direction. The big building in the middle is the headquarters. Anything major is reported there. After all this revolution is led by Nimin."

She was interrupted by one of the players, "Nimin?! From Dusted Bright?!"

"That would be the one."

"We have someone like that leading the revolution?"

She watched in amusement as the two marveled at the building. After giving them a moment she continued, "Behind the building is the specialized training. For those with unique classes and all that. That one is led by Akiol, he also teaches proper archery."

"I assume that team is quite small. The specialized one that is."

Chuckling Tilia agreed, "They're also quite arrogant. Akiol has to constantly battle newcomers."

"Has he lost?"

"There was a small slip up he did, but even then he still won. I doubt any of the specialized team disobeys his word anyway."

"So what do we do?"

"Excellent question, just head on in the headquarters and someone will be there to give you your placements and fill you in on the finer details."

"What about you?"

"What about me?"

"What are you gonna do?"

"I'm on break now, so I'm gonna make myself a sandwich."
