Examination (1)

Leroy got up from the chair and started following Jerome as they went behind a corner on their left.

There was a hallway with no doors or windows on either side, the only thing besides the white walls was a door at the end of the hallway.

It looked like an iron-reinforced gate at first glance.

However, as they got closer Leroy could see countless symbols inscribed on it.

"Those symbols are they a type of magic to reinforce the gate?" Leroy asked.

Jerome turned his head back and then nodded.

"Indeed, they're runes inscribed by a runemaster. When the place was first constructed, the headquarters of the Adventurer Guild sent someone to make it. It's for the purpose of protecting the rest of the building from the battle during the examination or any accidents. While it looks like only the gate is reinforced, in fact, it's the entire room." Jerome said as he motioned with his hand towards the gate.
