Chapter 4— Claws and fangs!

I ran along behind the King making sure I was not seen by anyone. Then, it happened! King Kufu changed into a large, blue beast as tall as a house, he had thick, long claws and sharp, long fangs hanging down from his mouth to his jaw. His back doubled like a hunched back, he had a slim, huge figure, his face seemed like crying a dog and the way he snarled made me shiver, then he howled facing the moon like he was calling out to something, so I ran. I knew if I waited any longer, I'd be meat. By the time I got to the village, my parents Kuroa and Kedi were worried looking for me. Immediately I ran to them shaking.

"Mother, Father, we have to leave the village tonight, I saw the king",

"Little one be quiet, don't say such things" my Father said.

"How old were you then, Mother?"

"Oh Kush I was seventeen".

My parents would not listen to me even when I explained what I saw, but all they did was scold me for leaving the village. I had to come up with a plan to either kill the beast or leave the village. At dawn, King Kufu would return to the palace as a human, but I knew he would be caught someday.
