Thomas Meeting with Spies

The working on the time machine was successfully going on. The expensive machines that Thomas had rented were reducing the time limit for each step. The process of one day was done in around 10 hours.

Thomas was satisfied that Quinn would be found out because he believed in his All-Time Tracker. However, when spies clearly told him they had completely failed in that task, Thomas got worried.

He considered the time machine useless if he wouldn't take Quinn with him in that.

He had modern gadgets in the future with which he could get rays back. That was not possible in the past.

Moreover, he couldn't create any of those there because he didn't know their formula. He only knew the freezing rays formula because he had to learn that during the meeting that Mr. John held for all first-grade scientists of the main lab.

He had to represent that in the meeting. So, he unwillingly learned that with the practical performance, and that helped him in the past.

He thought he should focus more on Quinn's search because he would instantly have to go to the future once the time machine was completely created. Keeping it safe in the past was a challenging task.

He had hired a total of six spies. Those were retired police officers. That was why they were proficient in that task. They only knew Thomas wanted Quinn. They didn't know anything about his real identity.

Thomas was so clever. He only shared his secrets when it was necessary and to the specified limit. As a result, there was not any single person in the past who knew everything about him.

However, if the scientists' and spies' knowledge were combined, Thomas' reality could be determined.

When he thought the matter was out of his control, he scheduled a meeting with his spies.

"So, all of you, even remained great police officers, have failed to search for that baby. You should be ashamed of this. I'm the one who is saying nothing to you. If there was someone else in my place, he treated you the way you really deserve".

All spies kept silent except the one who got red in anger. He rudely responded Thomas:

"Sir, we have exactly done what you said. How can you talk to us like that! We are only supporting you in this illegal activity. If we refuse to work, you'll be helpless".

Thomas was shocked about that. He had been talking like that for a long time with scientists, but they had never responded like that.

Thomas believed that everyone he hired would be under his pressure. But he didn't realize that he had gotten those employees with a great effort.

Moreover, they had proved reliable and obedient.

Scientists were not courageous enough to respond in that way. But the police officers, due to their profession, were proficient in tackling that behavior.

Thomas was so angry at that response. But he was also worried that he shouldn't have any controversy with the police officers. They had great relations with other police officers, and that could cause problems in his mission.

Moreover, he realized that the spies worked properly. That was not their fault if Quinn's video was not available on the camera.

So, controlling his anger, he tried to be polite: "Oh! I think I shouldn't shout. Actually, I was so upset due to the case not being properly handled".

"No issues, but you must have to understand our status." The spy bragged.

"Of course, I'll give you what you deserve. So, we are here to discuss the baby's case. Our precious plan had failed. Do you have any more suggestions about this?" Thomas finally came to the point.

While handling a report, one spy explained his idea to Thomas.

"Sir, I have a great plan. First, we should focus on the things related to that baby. Then, as much as we'll be close to those things, we'll get close to him."

Thomas didn't consider anything belonging to Quinn except rays. But he couldn't tell spies about them. Moreover, that was useless because he didn't have a ray tracker. So, he said:

"He is an alone child in the whole world. How we can get close to the things with which he is related."

"He must be living with any person. How could he exist alone in this world? If we get access to the person with which we are living, we would definitely get access to him". The spy responded.

While imagining Quinn with someone, Ai's picture was drawn in Thomas's mind. Then, he exclaimed in happiness, thinking like his problem was completely resolved.

He thought finding the young girl was much easier than the abnormal baby. He thought Ai would definitely know anything about Quinn.

So, Thomas concluded the meeting with the final order.

"As my talented spy gave such a useful opinion, we'll apply it. Ai has remained that baby's caretaker. Most probably, she is still living with him. It's easiest to find her comparing the baby. But follow the same rule you followed for searching for him."

So, from the next day, the search on Ai began. It was essential for her to go outside the house at least once a day to get some essentials for Quinn.

One day she, along with her uncle, was moving towards the market. Thomas's spy was coincidentally there.
