Goal

'Whew, that went well' John thought as he breathed out in relief. He looked down only to find his hands shaking. As he returned to the luxury box he couldn't tell if it was because of anxiety or excitement. He took a moment to calm himself down before entering to find Sean and Andrew waiting for him.

"Where were you?" Sean asked curiously.

"It doesn't matter. Let's watch the game. I hope it's different from the first half." John brushed off the question. He didn't know what to say, that he went to talk to players like a moron in the middle of the match.

John sat down and looked at the field. The game started with Derby in possession. As the referee blew his whistle, all the Leicester players burst into motion. The Derby players who were expecting Leicester to sit back and defend were caught off guard by the Leicester press.

Fryatt won the ball cleanly from the defender Seth Johnson and passed it to Iain Hume who dribbled forward and let loose a cracker before the Derby defence had a chance to regroup.

"...And it goes just over the crossbar. Derby were caught napping there. The way that Leicester had started the game just showed that they aren't going to sit back and defend. They are here to win the match." the commentator said as the ball went into the fans sections where the fans were screaming.

After that play, Leicester became even more aggressive like a wild animal that had tasted the blood. The game continued and the way the Leicester players were playing, it looked like they were trying to send the Derby back home bruised and battered.

"Again, that was an awful foul by Iain Hume. Referee shows him a yellow card. We're just 15 minutes in the second half and this is already the third yellow card Leicester has received in the second half. The way Leicester players are playing, it looks like they are trying out for the Leicester Tigers. Don Revie would've been proud. The game has become a slog." the commentator was clearly not mincing his words to what had frankly became an atrocious game of football for any neutrals. But to Leicester fans, it mattered not because Leicester had already came close to scoring twice and looked set to score sooner or later.

Leicester came out of the half time with an intent to attack, it mattered not whether they were attacking the ball or the Derby players. With all the delays and stops, the game was unwatchable. But the Leicester fans were loving it. The fans were chanting Alan's name whenever one of the opposing player touched the ground.

"It looks like we're going to win, even if we're going to become villains." Andrew Taylor spoke up in an attempt to lighten the mood. He already knew that his days were numbered at the club and had already accepted his fate. That's why he was reserved and rarely made an attempt at conversation.

"It may seem like that, but it's quickly going to become dangerous if we don't take the lead." John replied while looking concerned.

Even though Leicester were pushing Derby back at the moment, they weren't used to play such a physical football and their stamina was getting drained pretty quickly. They couldn't sustain the same amount of pressure on Derby for the whole second half. So they had to make their dominance count and take the lead.

John was thinking that when James Wesolowski intercepted a tame Derby pass and quickly played ahead to Matty Fryatt who dropped deep to collect the ball.

"Fryatt shields the ball using his body, but he can't find Iain Hume who is running towards the goal. He tries to turn but Seth Johnson denies him. What is he try.... A delightful ball to Joe Mattock who is sprinting down the left flank." the commentator continues with an excited voice, "He is already past the Derby RB and with space in front of him. He carries the ball forward and crosses it. But the ball doesn't have the power to reach Iain Hume... Wait! Fryatt is running towards the ball, Fryatt jumps to shoot a header but Seth Johnson is right there along with him. Seth tries to get him off balance but Fryatt reaches the ball and....", the commentator tried to keep track of the events happening on the pitch.

"GOAAAAAAALLLL... FRYATT! Matty Fryatt managed to keep it down and the Derby goalkeeper had no chance. After 67 minutes, Leicester finally takes the lead."

The energy that had been building in the stadium instantly erupted as the fans went wild with elation. In the luxury box, John leapt up from his seat screaming as the deadlock was broken. As Fryatt celebrated in front of the home fans, John wanted to rush out to the fans and celebrate with them. After a while, John collected himself and sat down but he couldn't control the wide smile that was plastered on his face.

If you don't know about Don Revie and Leicester Tigers, you can

google it. Isn't that a revolutionary idea? No need to thank me, by the way.
