Chapter 42 : Growing Danger to Liliana
Liliana's POV
Liliana's body rocked with shock. She had been warned by the coven; however, it never occurred to her that her life was in such danger. "Who was that woman? What was she doing in my luggage? In my room?"
Suddenly, Aubrey began to scream and rush toward Jasper. Her fists beat wildly at his shoulder. "Where is the baby? That was the nanny. Good gosh! I left my daughter sleeping in the crib and handed her a remote monitor."
Stilling her hands, Jasper responded as calmly as necessary.
"She is fine. Here. Here she comes now. The woman never entered the baby's room. Instead, she must have gone into a search through Liliana's bags. Once she handled that envelope, the smell would have compelled her to open it and breathe in deeply. It was clearly meant for Liliana."
