The Abyss

Steven wakes up surrounded by darkness. Hearing twisted laughter in the distance. He looks around him until he spots a faint light in the darkness. He then looks for the creature that fell with him. What no. Did I fall in? Guess Opresa's dream was right. And if her dream was right about this then her and the princesses must be right to. Then that means something evil might be stirring down here. Well let's start out by investigating that light. He says to himself.  He gets up and walks towards it. He sees a woman and a man sitting at a table. They turn to him. Well he's finally awake. The man says. Haven't seen you in awhile grandson. Why did you take the hard way inn?  The woman says and laughs. Huh. Who are you? Steven asks. Well it may have been awhile my child but forgetting your dear old grandma she's lonely in her abyss. She says. Um Mama I don't think I'm who you think I am. Steven says. You're not my immortal hero. The cursed mortal to live amongst the immortal. Son of mother of dragons? She says. No. I'm Steven, a normal guy from another world. Who now wants to get out of this place! Steven says. Well if you want to leave then let me guide you out. The man says. If you could that would be great. Steven says. Well first there must be a reason for you coming here correct? Also if you're a normal guy how is it you're alive and well in my abyss? The lady says. Well I'm not sure really. But the reason I'm here is because a princess had a dream that something evil was gathering here. But clearly from what I have seen there's nothing. Steven says. Oh. Well there were some powerful entity's here a little bit ago. I believe they were gathering fragments of old evil souls. But I'm not sure I could be wrong. After all there are a lot of old and twisted souls that rest in and around my abyss. Most of my kin rest here as well. Deep in the abyss. Also time tends to move strangely in here so it could have been ages since I felt them. The lady says. May I ask your name? Steven asks. I am Astora the mother of the abyss. I am a titan. She says. Frey told me about you. You sided with the gods during some war and sealed most of the titans in the abyss right? Steven says. Yes. To prevent the death of many more I helped the gods and covered my family in darkness. She says. What about the devils and demons? Steven asks. They came after the titans. Born from old god Isiea and myself. We also create the mother of dragons together. The moonlight goddess. But Isiea is locked away in a different prison now though. Anyway I guess you should get going and report to your princess about the powerful entity's I told you about. Help ease her mind by letting her know she's right. She says. I will. Let's go um what's your name? Steven asks. My name is Zarongaru and I am an old god, but don't worry about that. Let us begin our journey together. Follow me. 

Zarongaru begins to lead Steven forward. They walk for a while and a light appears. The light is coming from a portal. Here to make it easy for us to travel let me assume a more useful form. He turns into a black mist and wraps around Steven. He rematerlizes as a sword on Stevens right. Opposite the holy sword. From here I can guide you and no one will get suspicious. Also I will help learn some knowledge. Zarongaru says. Ok great just one question. Where are we? Steven says. Somewhere you shouldn't be, boy. A man says. He and a few others start encircling Steven. They have bows fixed on him. Sorry kid, but you see we can have you snooping around here so were going to have to get rid of you. He says. Steven reaches for the holy sword. But he hears Zarongaru's voice in his head. Draw me instead. So he does. Zarongau begins to change his shape from a sword and engulfs Steven in a black mist. Then forms around Steven arm into a monstrous appearance and attacks some of the thugs. The rest start to flee towards an old ruin structure. Zarongaru turns back to a sword. What was that? Steven asks in a confused manner. Hurry following them may lead us to something of interest. Zarongaru says. Right. Steven responded. He follows the thugs.

They flee to an old castle that has trees and other plant life growing around it. Steven approaches stealthy trying to avoid any other thugs that may be on guard. What is this place? He asks. I don't know but I'm sensing a powerful presences. If you are still trying to find out if your princess was right it might be worth investigating. Zarongaru says. Yeah, I think you're right. Can you like to turn me invisible by any chance? Steven asks. I can. Give me a second. A black mist engulfs Steven. With this no one should be able to detect you. Zarongaru says. OK let's see what these guys are up to. Steven sneaks inside the castle.

Inside he finds no one at the front. He goes down a dark hallway and walks into an open room were many guards and robbed figures are sprawled about. In the middle of the room lies a giant black dragon in what appears to be a catotnic state.  The dragon has a sword stabbed into it. Steven stays along the wall and goes into a room where the door was left open. Two monsterly figures stand in front of a crystal. So far only lord Rion has come back. And not fully yet he's only at minimal power. Lord Drakon is close to gaining form at least. But lord Vizion is still a long time away. One says. We have plenty of time to bring them all back to full power. Unlike last time, no one knows what we're doing. We even have one of the great dragons to use as a power source for revival so we need not worry. The other says. Steven creeps into the room more. A door opens and a man walks out. So there's an intruder in the woods I have been informed. And yet you two are here bickering about things out of your control. What type of commanders are you?! He yells. Sorry Lord Rion we know about the intruder but he's said to be just a kid. One says. Tell me Rohs, What if this kid goes home and tells the guards there bandits in the woods here what would happen then? Rion says. I have men looking for him my lord no need to worry. Plus there's no village within days of this place. Truth be told we're not sure where he came from. Logth did I ask you? Rion says. No sir but. Rion looks at him with a look of death. If it wasn't for the fact you were successful in bringing me back I'd have both of you killed. He says. Understood my lord. We will have the search for the boy doubled. And we will find him. Roha says. You better. I don't want my plan ruined because some backwoods boy rats me out. Both the commander demons leave. Rion walks over to the door and  reaches for the handle when he stops and looks at Steven. He reaches out toward Steven but before he reaches him someone opens the door. Lord Drakon is revived my lord, Come he wishes to speak with you. A man says. Alright he walks out of the room and leaves Steven alone. That was a close one. Well I guess the princesses was right. Steven says to himself. He goes back out to the dragon who's impaled with a sword. Alright big boy please don't attack me. Steven reaches and pulls out the sword. The dragon awakes and begins to thrash around and breath fire. It burns the guards that were posted all around and it knocks down part of the castle wall and open it up to the outside world. It stops and looks down to Steven. Well I didn't expect it to be you who saved me older brother. The dragon says. Um we can chat later big guy but we gotta go. There will be more guards coming. Steven says. Why me and you can easily handle anyone who comes after us. The dragon says. Because I'm on a very important mission where I have to report to the princesses what I just heard. Steven says. Ok then. Quickly hop on my back if we must leave in haste. The dragon says. Ok. Steven says and jumps on his back and they take off through the hole in the wall.
