Chapter 003: RUN!!

The demon eggs hatched...

Demons came out of them in a variety of shapes and forms.

Many demon insects had ugly faces, while others had aesthetic faces that were also extremely fearsome. Some of the demons he saw were looking rather "wild" and quite large for their age (1-10m while still infants...), while others looked like the dragons he recalled from his previous life. Just epic.

As he saw them so close for the first time in his life, he could not help but panic and be overwhelmed by fear. In a flash, he was calmed down by unknown energy which filled his head and kept him clear-headed. After he was able to think clearly, he saw that the demons began fighting one another, and as soon as one died...

Each demon on that massive beach gazed at the pitch-black souls, and even he couldn't help salivating at the sight.

Their first instinct was to jump on nearby souls or seek out weak targets to kill.

After seeing some demons run to the water, he realized some demon eggs had not yet hatched so his body started running at 6440 kph while creating two sonic booms to get those demon eggs automatically to kill whatever was still inside to fulfill the hunger of his soul.

[A/N: He can only move at 6440 km/h because his body strength has 100 points. That is nothing compared to the speed he flies with when he uses his wings, which is 2 times faster. In fact, he will face insanely strong enemies later on, which is why all demons and angels have ridiculous body strength. They are both Omni-level races, so for them to be weak would be a bad joke on my part.]

In his first encounter with a demon egg, he punched right through it like it was nothing, killing a worm-like creature that died without being able to fight for its life. Yet, after the soul came out of it when he tried to eat it by instinct. Something flashed by and grabbed it...

After a millisecond he realized that his prey, the soul he sought, was missing, so the moment he did realize it his body filled his mind with unbridled rage.

As a result, his body started turning on its fighting instincts. Then he realized he still had control over his body, but he just let it do all the work...

So he started thinking

'Damn, my instincts are telling me how to move my body in the most efficient manner and advising me on what I should do and what I shouldn't do. However, it seems like it wouldn't help me with my lack of combat experience, so instead, I'd be fighting like a beast that has options instead...

Ugh, I wonder why I'm here in the first place? Couldn't I have just stayed in my demon egg and slept forever...?'

He brushed it off and focused on his prey thief instead. However, in that short time, he had been able to sense it and identify it as the demon insect he had seen before.

When he wanted to spit on the ground, he unconsciously began gathering "unknown energy" into his mouth and forming a black ball that resembled an abyssal black sun. Upon realizing that he had created something dangerous, he pointed his mouth at the insect and fired.

When the ball flew out of his mouth, he was pleasantly surprised and shocked at the same time by the speed at which it flew since he only saw a blur, even though his eyes could easily keep up with his running speed.

Seeing it approaching the ugly insect, he noticed that it was desperately trying to flee. The abyssal black sun, however, melted it down like nothing before it was able to move more than a few centimeters.

Even so, it did not stop there, but flew on and cleaved through many demons before exploding in a massive explosion that took ten demons with it to their death. Once he calmed down following his initial shock, he realized that the spectacle did not end there, but rather continued as the "unknown energy" began gathering all the souls and making them appear right in his mouth as it forced itself down his throat.

"..."

"That was...

A really powerful attack."

As soon as he said that with his deep demonic voice, the Abyssal Energy as it was called by the Tab that floated in front of him started coursing through his whole body, strengthening him and calming him down from his excitement.

While he was about to launch another attack on the surrounding demons that were using far weaker attacks than him, he heard an explosion like no other. It was so loud that even the atomic bomb sound wave he heard just before his death did not match it in any way, so despite having insane hard defenses that even lasers are unable to penetrate, he still eventually ended up having his eardrums blown out as well as being thrown through the air for over 10 meters like all other demons that were located on the beach, though some may have been killed by it...

Even though he expected it to hurt more, the shock wave didn't seem to hurt much at all and he found out that his eardrums already healed after the shock wave passed him as well as his body's overall capabilities have improved to withstand these types of shock waves better or to be directly immune to it if it is on the same level or inferior to the previous shock wave.

Considering that demons were capable of continuous evolution, he was pretty confident that if he accounted for his regenerative abilities, he would be very hard to kill.

After looking around him, he suddenly felt his instincts screaming at him to RUN to the gigantic volcano, regardless of it being the source of danger...

Therefore, he began sprinting like all other demons on the beach in the direction of the gigantic volcano...

Due to his body being the most developed and compressed of all the demons, he was able to outrun all of them quite easily, though there were some flying beasts who seemed to be faster due to their sole focus on speed. After noticing this, he remembered that he still had his reverse wings...

"How could I have forgotten them?" he exclaimed.

Shaking his head, he couldn't help but comment on his stupidity

"Well, as a wise man once said (his father)...

The purpose of mistakes is to learn from them. If you can learn from them, then it's okay."

After his self-reprimanding, he started to take flight with his pair of huge reverse wings with a wingspan of 10 meters. And no, he might not have any experience with flying but his instincts were there to help him with that. Even if it was awkward at first he couldn't help but shout with his deep demonic voice.

"WOOOAH! YOUTH! HECK YEAH!! I FEEL LIKE I'M YOUNG AGAIN!!"

(The other demons are too young to talk nor have they started thinking properly..., yet.)

[A/N: Theoretically, he is a baby, but in soul age, he is too old to calculate it in years. Yet, let the old man feel his YOUTH until he realizes the difference between soul age and body age... regardless of the fact that his body is as old as his soul. Hence, it is uncertain how he will feel after learning the truth. Nevertheless, everything has its pros and cons, so let's continue...]

After fulfilling every man's dream of being able to fly on his own, he started flying at his maximum speed, which was two times faster than what he was capable of running at maximum speed, which caused several sonic booms as he flew at 12,880 km/h.

The new speed allowed him to easily surpass all other demons and reach the destination where his instincts led him. As soon as he arrived at the location, his instincts told him what to do, and it was pretty simple. Suddenly, he began digging like there was no tomorrow.

As he dug deeper, his instincts and senses told him to search for an entrance, and as he was searching for one, the other demons arrived and instead of fighting started helping him by searching too. Even so, it seemed to be only a temporary truce.

It took a certain bug insect with a worm-like appearance one minute to find the entrance to go deeper into the earth after his instincts started screaming louder and louder about the incoming danger.

Therefore, all demons rushed into deeper levels through the entrance. Upon entering though, they heard another loud explosion that sent them all flying forwards, as well as closing the entrance from which they emerged as he could sense massive heat waves behind them before they vanished after the entrance closed.

He stood up and let out a deep demonic snort as he walked again with the rest of the demons. Although he was going down for a long time, he noticed that the gravity, heat, and sulfur concentration kept increasing, resulting in him feeling better each second. As they appeared to reach the end of the long tunnel, a river of lava greeted him and a jungle could be seen far behind it.

There were a lot of demons who were quite happy after arriving here so they all ran toward the jungle with great enthusiasm. Which he too quickly imitated when he appreciated the environment and noticed his body strength steadily increasing under higher gravity.

After arriving there, he searched for a place within the area to live as he knew that if he didn't, he wouldn't be able to rest, since this area was overrun with hunters looking for prey. Even so, most of them weren't too dangerous for him, provided they weren't adults...

In the beginning, he notes that most of the danger comes from the flying raptors above because they are probably the ones who are most likely to live to adulthood as the other adult demons are probably in their 'territorium,' he guessed.

He had never had the chance to explore his body, his skills, and everything else about himself until he moved into his new home. Therefore, he searched until he found a huge boulder with a cave, which was covered by a huge fallen abyssal black tree. Upon entering, he picked up the abyssal black tree and placed it back. He then sat down to reflect on his abilities as well as what he had accomplished so far.

Prior to starting, he realized he had been naked all along...

As a result, he realized he had not yet checked if he was female or male. As a result, he looked around, only to realize...

There is nothing...

Except for his armor-like skin.

But his instincts told him otherwise. Eventually, something will come out if he concentrates long enough.

After concentrating, something did indeed emerge!

And it was...
