Chapter 4

After a long waiting, it is finally the day of the official appointment of the Hwarang by the queen. As Wang Jeong wakes up he finds Oh Soon Hwae snoring in his room loudly,

"Ah really! Why is he still asleep? Does he not remember what day it is today. I am sure he drank too much yesterday, let me wake him up." saying this Wang Jeong goes out of the room and returns with a bucket of water and throws the water on the general's face waking him up quickly,

"Ouch, Your Highness are you okay? I think it is raining in here, let me-"

"Wake up general, it is finally that day today and I don't want to be late today." says Wang Jeong and puts on his Hwarang uniform.

"Yes, Your Highness, I'm extremely sorry. I will get ready now and we should head out soon. By the way Your Highness the uniform looks really great on you, I assure you that every lady in the capital will be head over heels for you after seeing you like this." says the general in a teasing tone while smirking.

"Oh-ho! Stop it already and get ready, I will step out for a while to get some fresh air. Don't you dare be late." saying this the king leaves the room.

As he walks through the streets, many thoughts rush through his mind like-

"Will I be able to face the queen today? Will she think I'm still incapable of being a king? No, I shouldn't think about this, the queen's opinion shouldn't bother me anymore. I will do the right things which are needed to do in my own way."

As the king walks again to the tavern he sees Oh Soon Hwae ready to leave. The both of them then depart to the place of the appointment of Hwarang. On their way, they come across a thief trying to run way after stealing and hurting a shopkeeper. As the shopkeeper sees the king in Hwarang's uniform he asks the king for help.

"No, we will be late for the appointment. We should-" says the general.

"Just wait a minute here, I will catch that thief." says the king and runs away for chasing the thief.

The general follows the king right behind to avoid any kind of problems if raised. As the king follows the thief he realizes that the thief took him to a spot where there is no one around. The thief stops and gets ready to fight while saying,

"You made a huge mistake following me here, this is our area and you won't be able to escape without dying."

"Our area?" asks the king.

As soon as the king asks the question several men come from behind the thief with some sticks to fight.

"Ah! This is going to be really interesting.", says the king getting ready to fight.

"Not without me, Your Highness." Oh Soon Hwae joins saying this from behind the king. "Let's get started Your Highness shall we?"

The two fight the other thieves and take the shopkeepers item from them and return to the shopkeeper.

"Here Sir. Take it back and be more careful in the future."

"Oh! Thankyou so much Sir. I wish that you will live a very long and happy life with your loved ones." says the shopkeeper smiling and goes to his shop.

"Your Highness let's hurry we are going to be late for the appointment otherwise." says Oh Soon Hwae and the king nods in agreement.

Both of them rush to the place of the appointment and are the last ones to reach there. As they reach to the door they realize that it is the perfect time to enter because even if the queen will see them she won't be able to say anything to him in front of the people, the nobles and others present there.

"Shall we begin the game general?", says the king as he opens the door and enters inside where the other Hwarangs are already present and the queen sits just in front of them and gets shocked after seeing the king himself in the Hwarang's uniform.
