Undead

Walking down the path Leo saw more and more blood until it somehow disappeared. The blood was completely gone as if someone cleaned it from time to time. Nervously searching for trails Leo continued exploring the weird path and forest surrounding it.

While going further he suddenly felt a sense of dread wash over him. Quickly shifting his body to right and raising his daggers he braced himself for a hit.

Clank...

Leo felt his hands throbbing in pain, luckily he was fast enough to defend against the attacker's weapon. Squeezing his daggers Leo felt his muscles expand trying to push away the sword. After a few seconds of strength contest Leo was forced to shift his daggers letting the sword cut through air while he distanced himself from the attacker.

Leo quickly assessed his opponent. A skeletal being without any muscles, tissues. The skeleton had some tattered clothes and held a sword with two hands. Its skull was cracked and had 2 red flames shining in its eye sockets.

' What the hell... '

Leo murmured before closing the distance between them and slashing its abdomen. The skeleton didn't really care about defending itself and raised its sword vertically threatening to slice Leo in half. Abruptly stopping in his tracks Leo threw himself to the side dodging the fatal strike and kicking the skeletons side.

Had it been a human, he would suffer and probably be pushed away, but a skeleton didn't feel any pain. It caught Leo's leg and gripped it tightly.

The next few moments felt like a blur to Leo. He remembers himself being thrown into the air and hitting a tree in the distance. Feeling some of his bones crack, Leo hissed in pain. Standing up he vomited a few mouths of blood and slowly got ready to engage once again.

Seeing the skeleton slowly approaching him Leo noticed that its legs were severely damaged and cracked. Quickly devising a plan Leo waited for a skeleton to approach him and threw one of his daggers towards its leg.

The skeleton who didn't care about its defense suddenly fell on the ground losing its ability to walk. Even then the undead didn't stop moving, it started crawling towards Leo. Restraining the skeleton's movement was Leo's main goal. Former clash with the skeleton informed Leo that it didn't care about its body's condition, hence Leo quickly created a plan on how to take advantage of it.

The skeleton still approaching Leo was like a robot, it didn't feel pain and had only one goal. After a few minutes of playing Cat and a mouse Leo decided to pierce the skeletons skull. Circling around the barely moving skeleton he retrieved his previously thrown dagger.

Leo didn't want to throw his only dagger in case another creature attacked him, hence took effort to retrieve both daggers, before throwing one of them again. When the dagger pierced into the skeleton's skull, Leo could've sworn that he saw a thankfulness appear in being's red eyes before they dimmed and finally completely vanished.

A System notification popped up before Leo. The experience gained from the skeleton was a lot to Leo, hence he was very happy. Opening his Stat Tab he started pondering where to put his Stat Points.

Recalling the previous exchange with the skeleton, Leo decided to add 3 Stat Points into strength stat and another 2 into defensive, bringing them to 25 and 24 respectively. Leo felt his body become sturdier and his muscles strengthening.

While looking at his stats Leo suddenly felt that he forgot something. He couldn't quite put his finger around it, but soon waved it off.

' If I don't remember it's probably, because it wasn't that important '

Meanwhile a lonely guy could be seen sitting on a rock near Astrum Base entrance and enthusiastically cursing Leo.

Pulling out the dagger from the skeleton's skull Leo continued journeying down the path. After a few minutes of peaceful walking he saw a huge, dark cave. The cave seemed to have a weird form which reminds a face with a mouth being an entrance. Entering the cave Leo instantly noticed a lot of stalactites hanging off the ceiling and rocks randomly spread all across the ground. There was no light source in the cave, but Leo had Bloodline which allowed him to see in the dark, hence proceeded to enter the cave.

The cave looked like a passage or a tunnel with no sight of end. The further Leo went the colder it got. After a good ten minute walk Leo saw some undead aimlessly roaming across the tunnel. The group consisted of 2 skeletons with swords and a skeletal dog.

Leo hid behind one of the rocks and decided to assassinate one of the skeletons before moving on to kill other skeletal beings. Lowering his body he held his breath and waited for a skeleton to pass through his hiding spot, so he could backstab it.

Leo didn't need to wait long, because a clueless skeleton walked past him the next minute. Quickly stabbing his knife at its skull Leo killed one of his opponents.

Quickly turning his head towards other skeletons He was greeted by a sword quickly descending on him. Raising his daggers Leo's daggers clashed with the skeleton's sword.

In the Previous fight that happened in the forest after defending against sword strike Leo felt his hands throbbing in pain, but now he only felt a slight discomfort, hence pushed away the warrior's weapon. After parting the weapons Leo evaded the skeletal dog that leapt at him from the side and threw one of his daggers to its head. Unfortunately the hound evaded it, but didn't escape without damage. Its whole rib cage was destroyed and the dagger got stuck in it.

Clicking his tongue, Leo was unsatisfied, because the damage only slightly impaired the dog's movement and took half of his arsenal away. Rotating his body he deflected another sword strike and slashed the skeletons arm. Without an arm the skeletal warrior fell in another 2 strikes.

Shifting his body to the skeletal dog Leo didn't want to throw his only dagger, because the dog had more mobility than other skeletons, hence had a chance to dodge it.

Lowering his body and stomping the ground Leo enhanced his legs' muscles with Mana and bolted towards the creature. The skeletal being tried its best to dodge dagger slashes, but fell after a few minutes of continuous attack barrage.
