The Evolution Chronicles

Arc One: Mian is the castaway of a dying, if not already dead pack of demi-humans. Dumped in the middle of the forest, he is found by the Patriarch of a flourishing band of demi-humans. Unfortunately for him, he just happened to be different from them in almost every way. Mian's senses are weaker than the average demi-human's. Mian's strength is below average, Mian's resistance to illness is below average, Mian's toxins can barely hurt a fly. Worst of it all, Mian just has to look different from the others. The Freak of the pack. One day, a mysterious rock crashes into the outer territories of the pack's lands, prompting a group to be sent out to investigate. Mian is accidentally placed in the group and has to go out. Upon getting there, Mian's life changes, never to be the same ever again, as he gains access to something no one else has - Evolution. --- Silver WPC winner for WPC 206! 30 Power Stones for a bonus chapter! Chaos Unfolding

Mian jolted up from his bed, panting for air, and gripping his chest. His bloodshot eyes shot around the room before he dragged himself off the bed, and out of the room. His hurried, but ragged footsteps drew the attention of both Flare and Arc, both of which came up running to him.

"Mian, are you okay?" Flare asked worriedly.

"I-I... I need to talk to Daven. Quick!" He managed to say before dropping to his knees and gripping his head. He was still in pain from when he saw the specks of red light, and what he had seen in that lucid dream had worsened his situation.

"Arc, quick. Call Dion." Flare told his friend before trying to calm down Mian.

Mian's bloodshot eyes stared at the ground as he recalled the events of his dream. For some strange reason, he believed that what he saw in the dream would soon come true.

After an unknown amount of time had passed, Dion came rushing through the corridors, closely followed by Arc.
