Jonah was looking at his arm in pain.
Then he looked at Damian valiantly fighting off the wolves surrounding him. Having a piece of his leg taken away from his as well.
He looked at the blood red sky, and the blood red eyes of his family.
He felt a sense of longing when he looked at the wolves, but all he saw back was hatred.
He shouldn't be caring about how these wolves think, but for some reason no matter what he was cursed with suffering!
Jonah soon looked at all of the wolves with a desperate and helpless gaze.
But then he gritted his teeth and showed a mad expression as he bit one of the wolves surrounding.
His fangs instantly growing and his nails immediately sharpeing.
Once he struck, some of his pain was taken away.
The he saw a wolf whine in pain, rolling over with a bloody froth in it's mouth.
Jonah's eyes started to become a shade redder as his arms started to be spotted with fur.
He struck again and bit another wolf's neck while he pierced his claws through a wolf's eyes next to his arm, gripping it's skull tightly.
Jonah ripped the throat off one of the wolves and turned his hand hand holding the skull of the other wolf and started moving it around.
He started twisting his body and used the wolf in his grip as a club, making distance between himself and the other ten or so wolves.
After Jonah got free he felt a tingling in his hand as it seemed to have started regenerating.
Jonah continued to have a scrunched up face as he was suddenly bitten at his arm again, losing another chunk of flesh.
Jonah had a loud growl before he turned around and grabbed the wolf currently gnawing at his back. It was constantly shaking it's head as it tried to take out Jonah's strong flesh.
Jonah threw the wolf over his arm and slammed it's skull onto the barren ground. Crushing it's skull while only gooey grey matter was stuck between his fingers.
Jonah looked for his sword and saw it on the ground. He grabbed it and quickly stabbed it into his stub. Making sure he had the sword while being able to fight with his other arm.
Jonah's mind immediately seemed to have calmed down and his analyzing nature had resurfaced.
Jonah kept his claws activated but got rid of his fangs.
He quickly clawed at a wolf shredding through it's skull and jaws as he incapacitated it's main weapon.
Jonah quickly stomped his foot upon that wolf's disfigured face and smashed it's skull to the floor.
Finally after all this time Jonah finally had a breather.
He brought his arm towards his currently planted sword and pulls it out.
A squelch noise is heard as his sword is removed from his already destroyed arm.
'Now I can feel the calmness of the battle.' Jonah sighed in relief and satisfaction. As if a huge burden had been finally thrown of his back.
After Jonah had gotten his sword back his mind was finally at peace again.
He was already weak from using his law on Damian but he could do nothing about that.
'A calm soldier is always better then a angry one.'
________________________
Damian was fighting hordes of wolves as he killed everything in his way.
He felt like a conqueror as used his movements and manipulated his body in the most fluid and smooth way possible.
He was refining his understanding of conquering as he continued slashing and killing every wolf that dared to snarl or jump at him.
The wolves were looking with trepidation at this weirdly powerful human. Compared to that disgusting onem he was even skinny! But for some reason he seemed as powerful as the that curse or even more powerful somehow.
Damian looked at the wolves coming towards him but suddenly froze hesitating for a moment. They eyes becoming the orange for a split second before they continued rushing with their glowing red eyes.
Damian had a uncontrollable giggle as he saw this.
This was his first time on a battlefield.
But for some reason he felt like he had absolute control in this area.
He looked towards the rushing wolves and got his sword ready.
There was only ten or so wolves left on his side.
'Easy.'
Damian had accessed the difficulty for himself of dealing with these wolves.
What he didn't realise was this was almost impossible to accomplish.
In fact he should have died long ago after dealing with over twenty wolves by himself.
Damian smiled as he saw these upcoming opponents.
His mind was in a different state of consciousness at the moment. Every movement and kill he had contributed towards a central meaning that he couldn't pay attention about.
He looked ahead fearlessly, as he saw the hordes of wolves come towards him.
These wolves were only aiming for him!
He had conquered their attention.
Damian's eyes started shifting to a shade of orange from his usually ice blue before it shifted back to it's original colour.
When this happened his mind seemed to have expanded close to a certain limit. He wasn't sure what that was.
Damian felt a certain craving from his soul. As if this was necessary for it.
He craved for conquest.
Damian saw a wolf suddenly jump at him. Aiming it's jaws at his throat.
Damian slashed the wolf's neck in a swift motion, his arms suddenly blurring for a moment.
Damian felt a burning pain coming from his arm, but instead of frowing he smiled.
His soul was fulfilled.
But after a few seconds it quickly went away.
Damian felt a sense of helplessness when this happened, but then he quickly converted that helplessness to anger.
He striked another wolf with his sword being smashed upon it's back, immediately shattering the spine of the attacking wolf.
Damian felt another sense of fulfillment, but this time it lasted shorter then last time.
Damian felt frustrated as this continued to happen. So he struck another wolf with his bare knee. Shattering the wolf's ribcage and crushing it's heart and lungs along with it.
It bit on Damian's arm in it's dying moments, but Damian quickly cut the neck of the biting wolf. Taking it's head along with him as it's jaws were frozen in the state before it's death.
But Damian didn't care about the pain. He quickly got his fix.
But just like last time it disappeared as soon as he felt it.
Damian was starting to become mad from this constant back and forth. His now-crazed mind finding every single wolf even as his shattered knee was being dragged around the battlefield. A trail of blood being drawn across the floor as he limped to another wolf.
This wolf suddenly froze as orange light was coming from it's eyes, shivering in it's paws. But before the human could reach it, it had already gotten it's senses back and ruthlessly attacked the human.
Damian had closed a lot of distance because of that so he killed this wolf by jabbing his sword in-between it's skull.
Damian felt the satisfaction again, but this time it lasted for only an instant.
Damian shook his head as he went for the final wolf, it's legs were choppped off from before because of his sword throw.
He pierced it's head and left it there, waiting.
Damian didn't feel anything this time. For not even an instant he did not feel that fulfillment from before.
It was gone...
Damian in his daze turned around and saw Jonah.
Jonah was right behind Damian as he had a his sword stuck between it's head from the back, the tip facing Damian.
Jonah removes the his sword from the wolf's skull and walked towards Damian.
Damian looked at Jonah's sword and then at his arm.
He looked into Jonah's eyes and nodded.
Jonah didn't have the energy to think about what this meant so he shoved his sword back into his arm walked towards a wolf corpse.
Damian wordlessly took out his sword from the wolf he had just killed and cut off it's paw.
He sliced five times inbetween it's claws and made spread it's cut portions out.
Damian took off his shirt with many claw marks and brings it towards Jonah's arm.
Jonah sat down on the wolf corpse and looked out at the horizon.
There was only eighty or so people left, fighting the few big beasts still around.
Damian quickly got to work and shove the dismembered paw and shoved it into the sword's handle.
Damian twisted it a few times to see if it set in nicely. Then he started ripping the shirt he had taken off.
He made some quick bandages and quickly wrapped it around each sliced paw making it look like fingers to a normal man.
Damian rolled the bandage a few times extra so the claw doesn't get exposed.
After Damian finished he continued wrapping the bandages around Jonah's arm until it reach his wrists.
'No matter.'
Damian though as he quickly looked to his side and found a dead soldier's corpse.
Damian was about to go towards it but Jonah quickly tapped him on the shoulder as he gave him the extra piece of cloth needed.
Damian took the piece of cloth and quickly finished rolling it around Jonah's arm until it reached his shoulder.
The wound was only up to his forearm, but he still wrapped it all the way up to there so there wasn't any suspicion.
Damian quickly tied it up as he suddenly layed down on the wolf's corpse.
Jonah saw Damian's shattered knee and brought a few corpses close to him, quickly ripping the cloth of their bodies as he started making bandages for Damian's knee.
As Jonah was rolling the bandages around Damian's knee Damian suddenly said something:
"This pillow is really comfortable... you should try it..." Damian said with a horse voice.
Jonah looked at Damian for a moment before he pulled another corpse towards himself as a trail of blood was left behind it's corpse.
Jonah placed his pillow besides Damian's and quickly layed down. He looked towards the red sky as he felt the exhaustion creeping in.
"Yeah... it's a real comfy pillow..." Jonah said.
They both just layed there together on wolf corpses as they stared into the evening sky.
