Shang rejected that and started to see his sword for what it truly was, a sword. Leading it to become an inanimate object since it didn’t actually have any consciousness in the first place. Shang just made that up.

Haha, yeah…. I had plans of making Sarah use her Life Essence absorb skill on Laurier here, but it just didn’t feel right when I was introducing it. I wanted Sarah to feel the consequences of absorbing Life Essence in my story at first, but by chapter 70 I just decided it to have side affects instead of harmful aftermaths. And also, I wanted to save a reveal (that probably seems obvious to you after reading about Damian) later on. So yeh, on introspection, Laurier would have been the perfect target. But I’m still quiet proud of how it turned out still. Sorry bout the ramble above, but I do hope your enjoying this story and will continue to read it in the near future. Hope that shed some light on my thought process behind this small chapter.

Did the author stop uploading? What happened? Will we get a new chapter? All will be answered on the next episode of, Drago- *cough* I mean, author, when will you update the next chapter. Cuz I love your stories and need more! (Though you don’t have to force yourself to update a new chapter. Most of your readers love your stories and we truly wouldn’t mind waiting a bit longer for a new chapter if it helps you not burnout and be stressed.)
