A Tough Road Ahead
The vampires in Stonewick rarely left the town. When they did, they traveled by jumping and running using their own two legs.
Since they were able to travel faster than any car if they just wanted to, cars were considered useless luxury items in Stonewick.
In fact, when cars passed by, the town residents knew right away that they came from another town, and that they were most likely human beings.
Had they been werewolves, they would have chosen to run in their wolf form across the loneliest forests.
Such cars were bound to meet with a tragic fate.
As Stonewick residents liked to say, refusing fresh blood that was delivered to one's doorstep was very impolite.
And yet, that evening when an electric limousine moved past the curious vampires in and out of Stonewick, they did not try to stop it at all. One reason might be that they just had a scare earlier in the afternoon. The other reason was that Ryan Caldwell leaned against a window and gave them all a round of stares.
