We must do everything we can to evolve. We need to get stronger, we need to find a way to survive in this world

I found a way to cool off from what the king did to us. Well he just kicked us out into the unknown just for being monsters, but again, even in my world monsters get a bad reputation no matter what you do, I guess it's no different in this world. Today is a whole new day, we have to fight to evolve, I want to do it today so that me and Hana reach levels 20 and 15 specifically so that we can finally evolve. It's very hard to find monsters around this house so we decided to move out to another area that will facilitate us leveling up.

"So, what are we going to do today Hikaru?"- Hana looked at me concerned.

"Well, we will evolve and fight some monsters, I bet that there is a town nearby where we can sell off some of the monster items that we will gather in a town, and we must be able to disguise ourselves somehow"

!You can disguise yourself using your Lord of Deceit and Lies Lucifer skill and sell items for money at an inn or shop without being noticed as a demon!

"I got it, I can use one of my skills to hide my identity from other people and then we can sell the items"- Hana looked at me speechless.

"Your skills do come in handy Hikaru"- Hana looked at me again, we were both gone from the house, but first we looked at the house as best as we could. I and Hana traveled for a few hours until we reached a town, that has a guild

*Use skill: Lord of Deceit and Lies Lucifer*- Mine and Hana's forms started to change into human form. We went inside the adventurer's guild building to register.

"How are you 2? Have you co,e to register with the guild here in Welcia City?"- The receptionist looked at us strangely, he is a middle-aged man that looks battle-hardened.

"Yes, we want to register with the guild. We want to take some request to hunt monsters, I am level 19 and she is level 14."- He looked at us again, but this time his gaze is a little relaxed.

"Well, you can take G and F rank quests then only. Only after 30 quests you will be promoted. All the quests need to be of your rank or 1 rank higher, those 1 rank higher count as 2 quests of the lower rank."- He guided us to a room and told us to put our hands on a crystal globe, we both listened and put our hands there.

My skill is enough to deceive even this crystal ball, our race is human on both cards, I don't know if demons or other sentient monsters are allowed to join this guild but we both are ready to take on some quests.

"Well, here are some quests, you will both receive exp points from completing the quest and from defeating the monsters or gathering the plants"- He gave us 5 quests that are of F rank, most 1 of them is for gathering medicinal herbs, should be easy to do with Sia, and other is for fighting monsters like wolves and giant sheep and fruit monsters? I didn't know such monsters existed in a fantasy world.

"We will take all 5."- Hana took all 5 quests from the receptionist.

"Well, glad to see that you kids are up to earning some money"- Well, true, while we need some money, we still have good gear and don't need to buy more gear. We might buy things for our house but nothing more or less. Maybe we will visit the shop or people that can teach me new skills that I don't know, if we want to defend ourselves out here we should be able to use more skills than the ones we already have.

"Well, we will be back once we finish off the monsters, or likely when we finish all the requests."- We left the guild and decided to go and fight the monsters in the nearby forest, well, we didn't find them right away, so we are now doing the medicinal herb request.

"Sia, where are the herbs?"

!There are a lot of them growing 100 meters from you 2!

"Hana, I found some of the plants that we are looking for, come on"- We found a bunch of them growing in a clearing ahead of us, he left some there so that they can grow next time as well.

"Good, we have more than enough!'- Hana looked at me happy.

"Well, now it only remains to kill some of the monsters and then we can evolve.

! Reaching your evolution level is harder than you think, you bottleneck on this level and need exponentially more exp to get to it!

"Come, let's go. I will be on guard for monsters, I take half, you take half"- We wandered through the forest blindly, I can hear all the animals and birds chirping all around us, the wind shuffling through the leaves, I can notice the bark of the trees, some of the bark is cut off and some have scratch marks on it.

"Here they are!"- A few goblins jumped us

*Use skill: Shadow Hand*- I summoned a shadow hand and reached within the goblins, I can feel its heart beating, and I am touching it with my shadow hand, the moment I closed my fist its heart got crushed and the goblin died immediately. Well, this is powerful.

I punched some of the goblins that Hana is fighting, she is pretty good with handling a katana, she is better than I am, she cuts through goblins like butter.

"Well, 20 goblins are taken care of, now we have to harvest the ears"- She looked at the task ahead in disgust.

*Use skill: Shadow Tendril*- I used my shadow tendril skill to cut off the ears of the goblins.

"Well, we have enough proof for the guild. 3 more quests to go I guess"- I looked at the 3 remaining quests, 1 of them was for wolves, 1 of them was for a sheep monster and 1 of them is for 10 fruits monster to be killed, great, we will have more meat to eat, we only need to bring the horns, fangs, and the pelt as proof but, we have our inventory, but I don't know if I can carry that much in my inventory.

This world's inventory is on a grid system, most things are 1x1 swords are a little bigger but my inventory is big, Hana's is bigger than mine, maybe it will change once I evolve.

"Let's take the fruit monsters first"- I and Hana walked to the fruit monster nest.

*Use skill: Shadow Tendril*- I used my 2 shadow Tendrils to kill all of the fruit monsters that there are. We both received exp points for our endeavor.

"Ok, 2 left to go"- I wonder why they wanted to rid of such weak fruit monsters.

We didn't have to search much in the forest, the monsters had found us first, we are now surrounded by a pack of wolves and sheep monsters, monsters that resemble sheep and are sheep but not quite sheep, I don't know how to explain.

*Use skill: Shadow Tendril, Shadow Hand*- I used my Shadow Magic in order to kill as many as possible

I used y inventory and got my shadow sword out and I went for decapitations.

After finishing all the monsters me and Hana both hear something

We are evolving finally

I look at my level and I am level 22 already and Hana is level 16. We both fell on the floor, we both felt excruciating pain in our bodies, we don't know why, but evolution hurts a lot, I don't know what to do here.

We both fainted from the pain, we woke up later. Hana woke up first. She looks different, the horns on her head are a little longer than usual.

Looks like we evolved. It took a lot of pain but we finally did it.

Looking around us it's already night, we don't know what to do but harvest the monsters and bring everything back to the guild.

"It sure took you a while"- We brought everything back to the receptionist.

"Here you go, all 5 quests"- We dropped all the monster looks aside from the meat on the table and then we got paid.

"Well, I never expected this much. Here you go. 5 gold coins for everything that there is here"

5 gold coins, that's a lot for us and we are starting. Tomorrow we will come to this village and then we will buy some things for the house and some food seasoning because I am sick of always tasting crappy food or tasteless food.

I spent extra time cooking something for ourselves to eat. In the past week, we ate only seasoned meat, we want something else to eat and fast. Tomorrow we must go to the city and gather as much supplies as possible.
