Clyde stumbled upon a dilapidated house after a grueling battle against the undead. Exhausted, he decided to take refuge there for the night, despite not having had a proper meal. As a level 9 warrior, Clyde can now survive longer days without food.

Once inside, Clyde made his way to a chair and settled down to inspect his gains during the battle.

Satisfied with his gains, Clyde decided to explore the rest of the house. As he made his way up to the second floor, he was pleased to find a bed that he could use to rest. Without hesitation, he claimed the bed as his own, eager to get some much-needed rest after the intense battle.

Before settling in, however, Clyde knew that he had to secure the place. He carefully checked the locks on the doors and windows, making sure that no one would be able to enter the building easily without him noticing.

He also set up various traps and alarms, just in case. Only after taking these precautions did Clyde finally let himself relax, sinking into the bed and allowing himself to drift off into a well-deserved slumber.

As the sun rose the next morning, Clyde woke up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. He was thankful that the night had passed without any unexpected events or disturbances. he stood up and cautiously peered out the window.

To his relief, he found that the area was relatively quiet, with only one or two undead wandering aimlessly about.

Seeing the two undead outside, Clyde sprang into action. With a quick leap, he jumped out of the window and summoned his dagger while activating his amplification skill.

With lightning-fast reflexes, he dispatched the two undead with ease, skillfully stabbing each one in the head. The quick kills earned him a few experience points, further boosting his experience.

After successfully defeating the two zombies, he decided to depart and check his ranking. He was pleased to find that he had risen to 500th place.

"I need to keep hunting and find more zombies to boost my ranking further." As he thought.

As he strolled, he encountered a plethora of houses that surrounded him. With his journey so far, he was now uncertain of his exact location and how far he had ventured from the point where he teleported previously.

As Clyde still finding some undead, he spotted two individuals heading toward him. The two men were dressed in armor, each with a sword firmly gripped in their hands.

Clyde frowned as he noticed the two individuals approaching him. Something in their posture and demeanor indicated to him that their intentions were not pure.

"Hey, you!" shouted one of the men, pointing at Clyde with his sword. "Surrender now and hand over your book. We promise that if you surrender peacefully, we will not cause you any harm." The man's aggressive tone and the menacing glint in his eyes, confirm Clyde's suspension that they are really up to no good.

The other man wore a sinister grin on his face as he leisurely ran his hand along the edge of his sword, fixating his gaze upon Clyde.

Clyde warned the two men, "You two need to leave now. I don't want to hurt you." But his words were met with a derisive laugh from the man with the sinister grin. "Are you kidding me?" the man jeered.

The man was about to attack but he was suddenly encased in a fiery chain that prevented him from moving.

And to their shock, Clyde disappeared from their sight and reappeared right in front of them. With a powerful punch, Clyde hit the two men in the gut alternately.

"Argh…" The two men let out a pained cry as they crumpled to their knees, clutching their stomachs. They coughed and sputtered, blood dribbling from their mouths as they struggled to regain their composure.

As one of the men slowly regained his breath, he couldn't help but plead for mercy. "Young master, please have mercy," he begged, his voice shaking with fear.

However, Clyde paid no heed to the man's pleas and approached the two individuals. He reached for their heads and, with a quick motion, retrieved the book from their pockets. The book seamlessly merged with his own, and as he watched, the two men gradually vanished from sight.

"They must have been teleported out," Clyde thought to himself as he checked his ranking. To his surprise, he had moved up from 500th place to 278th, having gained points from the two individuals he had defeated.

"They had quite a few points, which helped me advance several ranks," Clyde pondered. "Hunting individuals can be quite profitable, but it's much better for me to focus on leveling up and increasing my strength."

Clyde continued his journey, intent on finding more undead to hunt. As he walked, he spotted something in the distance, a group of five high-level undead huddled together in a corner. He approached cautiously.

Clyde approached the undead slowly and deliberately, his eyes fixed on his target. As he neared, with only a few meters separating him from the group, the five undead became aware of his presence. They turned to face him, their eyes glowing with an unearthly light.

Clyde knew already that this will be an easy fight, despite being outnumbered. The mana shield he had at his disposal would protect him from any potential harm, unless the undead managed to drain his mana they couldn't deal damage to him.

The five undead launched a full-scale assault on Clyde, but as he had anticipated, their claws only scraped harmlessly against the mana shield, unable to penetrate it and cause any damage to Clyde. He stood his ground, his expression resolute, as he prepared to counterattack.

Clyde aimed his hand at the undead, and with a flick of his wrist, unleashed a barrage of fireballs. The spells struck their targets with precision, exploding on impact and making a hole in the undead body as they dropped dead.

As the four undead perished in the flames, a sudden vibration rocked the ground beneath Clyde's feet, causing a crack to form. He was caught off guard by the unexpected turn of events.

Clyde quickly jumped back, putting distance between himself and the ground. Suddenly, a giant hand emerged from the crack and attempted to grasp him, but Clyde was quick and agile, deftly dodging the attack. The hand's movements indicated that it was trying to capture him, but Clyde was one step ahead, outmaneuvering its grasp.
