After a brief rest, Clyde felt his mana had been fully replenished. He noticed Jacob still sitting in the corner, recovering from their escape.

Deciding to take a look around, Clyde approached the window and cautiously peered outside. Seeing nothing out of the ordinary, he concluded that their temporary refuge in the house was safe for the moment.

He checked his gains and noticed that his rank was gradually decreasing. "It seems like a lot of people are grinding the undead right now," he thought to himself. "This undead in this area aren't too strong. I should be able to gain a few points by defeating them."

He decided to venture out and explore the surrounding area and left Jacob behind, as he felt that he had already done enough to help.

Jacob also understood this and chose to stay in the area for a while before venturing out. He thanked Clyde for his help and expressed his hope to see him again in the future.

Clyde also expressed his goodbye to Jacob before leaving the house and stepping outside.

Clyde is already swiftly running around, as he goes back where the horde that they run to from.

After a while, He arrived at the horde, counting them there are around 20 of these undead gathering around the middle of the street.

Clyde utilized his surroundings to his advantage and found a strategic spot from which to attack the horde of undead. He swiftly climbed a nearby house and positioned himself on top, giving him a clear line of sight to unleash his spells.

He raised his hand, aimed toward the group of undead, and unleashed a barrage of fireballs. With a crisp "whoosh" sound, the fireballs struck their targets, engulfing the undead one by one in flames.

"Ding! Ding! …"

As he gains a significant quantity of experience points, several notification sounds can be heard. Indicating Clyde is getting closer to the next level.

After defeating the horde of undead, He climbed down from his vantage point and continued his search for more undead in the area. Soon, he stumbled upon another group of undead, gathering in a nearby alleyway.

Clyde employed the same strategy and ascended to another vantage point, where he aimed at the group.

However, before he could launch his attack, a massive undead around two meters tall suddenly leaped toward him, displaying its immense power as it jumped several meters toward Clyde.

Surprised by the unexpected event, Clyde jumped back to dodge as the undead punched a hole crashing the roof.

The undead plummeted a few meters below, but it quickly regained its footing and jumped again, aiming a punch at Clyde.

With the relentless zombie closing in on him, Clyde, caught off guard, quickly activated his mana shield, stopping the attack mid-air.

The brief respite provided Clyde with a moment to cast a flame bind, restricting the undead movements and limiting its mobility.

As it was restrained by the chains of fire, the undead fell to the ground once again, causing a loud crash as it hit the floor.

He followed the undead as it also jumped down in the hole, landing inside the house.

He approached the undead, which was still struggling to move from its position.

Clyde Summon a dagger in his hand and, with a swift motion, grabbed the head of the undead and slit its throat. A stream of green fluid gushed out, spilling all over the place, as the undead perished.

As the undead perished, the remaining zombies outside pounded against the walls, causing cracks to appear. The relentless zombies were eager to get inside the house.

With no other choice, Clyde prepared to defend himself as he waited for the undead to break through the walls. Aiming his hand in their direction and was ready to fire the fireballs at any time.

With a loud bang, the undead broke a hole in the wall and tried to enter, but before they could, step inside they were blasted by a barrage of fireballs, producing a series of explosive bangs. One by one, the zombies were killed living behind destruction.

After defeating the undead, he gained a significant amount of experience, and as a result, he reached level 8. This increase also boosted his intelligence to 90 points.

Upon witnessing the destruction, he had caused, Clyde quickly moved away from the area, as he didn't want to be surrounded by the undead or risk being ambushed by any other students who might be nearby.

As he ran, Clyde couldn't help but think, "The undead are very unpredictable, the one I encountered earlier was incredibly strong and must have been at least above level 10."

Clyde was aware that being surrounded by the undead would be dangerous for most students, and they could easily be killed.

To keep himself safe, he constantly activated his intelligence amplification to scan his surroundings and find a safe place to rest before facing another horde.

Clyde found a small house and cautiously approached it, wary of any potential dangers inside. Upon determining it was safe, he entered and carefully closed the door behind him. He sat on the ground and took a few minutes to rest and recover.

After a while, he leaves the house and continues. He did not plan to enter the inner area of the city yet as is it only the first day.

As he explored, he stumbled upon a powerful undead again, one that was not part of a hoard. It had already noticed Clyde's presence and was rushing toward him

Clyde quickly activated his mana shield, enveloping himself in a transparent barrier. The undead banged against the barrier with all its might, but it was to no avail. Clyde countered the attack by blasting the undead's head with a powerful fireball dead.

Continuing his hunt, Clyde encountered several hordes of undead and used his strategic approach to wipe them out with minimal mana consumption. He continued his hunt, killing and hunting the undead as he gained experience and eventually level up to level 9, increasing his intelligence points to a hundred.
