The first venerer to be sent as a hitman on the father's behalf, the first venerer to truly experience a world, what it was like to be a predator in normal circumstances, it was the basis of all the others that had followed, albeit, it had still been its own individual, its mutation prowess when under pressure had proven impressive and it had faced against the individuals, who at first should have been nothing but a pebble on the road but had somehow become an image of opposition to the venerers.
The venators had become much more than what they ever could have, their legacy spreading across the worlds just like that of the venerers, they had both breached into other worlds, without ever appearing, despite this rivalry between the two, they had rarely come to clash after the first time, venators and venerers seemed to be destined to kill one another and yet, always appeared separated, rarely to ever cross path and never to cross path meaningfully.
It was strange when thinking about it, venators hadn't had a big impact on the first venerer to be spawned in a world, the ones that had gotten the most in its way, and actually stopped it in the end, were the Sun Bearers, it was one of their members who had pushed it into the abyss, locking it away, putting the world out of its reach.
To that, there was no true explanation, the only thing this could be attributed to was the father simply having a better impression of the monster hunters than of the hero wannabees.
As time passed, as venerers destroyed worlds or failed, the only one that remained capable of it and yet unable to, was the abyssal venerer, it wandered the abyss endlessly, it had been long since any of the abyss inhabitants had appeared before its path, they weren't all dead, they had simply grown to understand their place on the food chain, the venerer, having adapted to the abyss without truly being corrupted, stood supreme above all else.
Still, it would be inacurrate to say that it had no effect in it, they simply didn't show in its behavior, the only thing that proved its adaptation to the abyss was the color it had taken on, matching that of the abyss itself, the same that every being here had, fitting in perfectly in the environment only the fact that they moved allowed for them to be seen.
At this point in time, many venerers had already went and gone, the amount of divergent world was extremely low and most of the time, at zero if one excluded the one this venerer was in charge of, many of them had succeeded by only doing what had gotten this one trapped away.
At long last however, an unusual sight was seen in the abyss, the venerer felt the warmth of the sun on its skin, it didn't waste any time, zooming past the other abyssal creature wandering toward the light, the venerer appeared outside in an instant, it was hard to believe but that speed had matched that of the venerer that had been buildt with almost nothing but speed in mind, it hadn't moved at such speed for a while as it had only walked in the abyss.
After an unknown amount of time had passed in this world, the venerer was back and it quickly showed, the portal that it had gone through closed off soon after but it paid it no mind, instead, moving his head back and looking at the sky, it let off a terrifying howl that straight up killed those that were too close and in this case, too close could be very far.
It spread the abyss from where it stood causing immediate corruption of this world, the beings touched would become just like the beasts and monsters that inhabited the abyss, none could withstand it, corruption spread fast and just like in a single action, it had done it.
The world will was also corrupted, causing a strange situation as the corruption turned it into a functionning world will like before, cleansing it of its divergence, no more actions were needed here, the world wouldn't know a restart and would thus remain as a world plagued by the abyss, a world where the sun was nothing but a floating ball that produced no light.
With its mission accomplished, the venerer finally disappeared, this time for real.
The venerer that had killed the Lord Of The Hunt, the former owner of its power had finally come to end its mission, just like all the venerers that weren't in the action of doing their mission, it went back to the original, becoming one with it, its knowledge was already transferred but now, its powers, strength, sensations and deeper thoughts would also be shared.
It had managed to do its job at such a pace after coming back from the abyss, showing that it hadn't been a waste of time, it had acquired a higher power than it would have otherwise.
With this, the original byproduct was done, maybe other venerer with abyssal powers would appear but they would never truly be the same one.
Each venerer was unique, each developped abilities that differed, each had a different way of dealing with things, each made a different use of the aspect of the hunt, most used it in the most obvious way and other twisted the meaning a bit but all of it fell under the influence of this aspect.
By becoming the very embodiment of the aspect of the hunt, the venerer perfected it and pushed much further than the Lord Of The Hunt ever could have.
There was one venerer that had tried to fuse the aspect alongside a human consciousness, the results of this choice were varied and whether or not it had been a good idea at all was difficult to say.
All of this, however, did not matter to the abyssal one, for its mission was finally over.
I will soon start a new book called "Tower", I highly recommend you read my other stories before this one or else you'll get very much confused.
