TBATE - A New Start

One moment was all it took. Jack was alive living a dull meaningless life, with no one. The next he was surrounded by darkness. Eventually, a bright light shinned and soon he was being forced to it. He was in the hands of a man with pointy ears and silver hair. Then handed off to a woman who also had the same traits. It was the last one that made him realize where he was. A small girl with gunmetal gray hair and emerald eyes held him and looked into his eyes with a smile. "Hello Casma, I'm your sister Tessia." At that moment he realized he had been reincarnated into the world of his favorite novels "The Beginning After The End" as some one didn't exist in the original novels. Chapter 2

Casma POV:

11 Months Later...

It's been nearly a year and I've figured out the rough outline of where in the story I currently am. Arthur has been in Zestier for a year and a half which means he's halfway to awakening his beast will. Which is unexpected because that would mean that they were more welcoming to him than in the novel, but I chalked it up to the motherly instincts that Mom had. I mean she would've been pregnant with me, so she must've felt really bad leaving a child alone.

Since I was born, I've spent a decent amount of time trying to form my core based on how Arthur did it. It's been a little tricky but I was making progress, and figured I'd finish just about the time that Arthur awakens his beast will. If I could talk properly though, I would be able to say something that would convince him but I'm still not able to speak appropriately yet. The only thing I've been able to accomplish is trying to bring Arthur and Tessia together.

Trying to bring them together is what has led me to my current predicament. I was currently sitting in Tessia's lap while she was watching Arthur spar with Grampa. They were simply practicing his swordsmanship, or well, Arthur was currently attempting to. Grampa was using his first phase while Arthur was trying to fight him. It was not going in his favor though. It lasted another ten minutes until Grampa said he needed to take a break so that he could meditate to refill his core after being in his first phase for so long. Arthur simply nodded and walked over to us and sat down.

Me being the child I am, I grabbed his finger and just held it. He smiled at me and let me hold his finger. I then grabbed Tessia's finger and held it as well. My sister chuckled and patted my head with her free hand. I know how annoying she gets in the future, so hopefully, if I can bring them together now, I can stop all the hate she was getting from other readers. Obviously, that doesn't matter as much now since this is my life. Personally, I believe Caera would be a better choice for him, but somewhere deep down I have a feeling that'll sort itself out in the future.

Getting back to my current plan, I pulled both of their hands into my lamp and made them hold hands. They tried to pull their hands away, but I tightened my grip. Since I'm still a baby they didn't try hard to pull away, which helped me keep their hands together. I smiled and looked up at both of them, both of them looked the other way from each other and were red in the face. Tessia was even redder on the tips of her ears. Laughter could be heard off in the distance where Grampa was sitting.

"Looks like the little Casma over there wants you two to get together."

"Geah" I made the best attempt at saying yeah but it just sounded like me making baby noises. Everyone looked at me and eyed each other.

"Doesn't it seem like at times he knows what we are saying and tries to voice his opinion?" Tessia questioned.

"What are you talking about? He's just making noises when he thinks it adds to what we say." Arthur added scratching the back of his head.

"Ga ha" I looked at him and smirked the best as possible. He flinched at this and quickly calmed himself down. I can already assume that he's thinking there's no way another person reincarnated, but little does he know that I technically make the fourth one that is to be reincarnated. If I have anything to do with it though he will only know of me. I've already planned to kill Elijah before the attack on Xyrus Academy and if I can stop Tessia from getting captured then Cecilia will never take her over.

"Casma, let them take their time. The married couple over there won't budge, I've been at it since Arthur got here." I frowned at what Grampa said and let go of their hands. The funny thing though, was that it took them a while before they finally realized I wasn't holding their hands anymore. Even then they stayed like that until Grampa was done filling up his mana core. They separated quickly and Arthur jumped up to go back to sparring.

While they spared, I leaned back against my sister and started meditating. My core was coming along nicely, however, I could only hope to be a tri-elemental since Elves can't use fire. Even then though at least I would be able to use plant magic, something that he couldn't use. We stayed like that until they finished sparring and we started heading into the castle.

I was still being carried by my sister and eventually ended up in her room. She sat me on the bed and bent down to eye level with me, "I'm going to change and then you, Art, and I will go out into the city." She smiled at me and started changing.

Even though she's my sister and they still saw me as a child, I still felt very wrong about being in the same room as my sister while she changed. To say I felt uncomfortable was an understatement, I rolled onto my side to face the opposite wall, looking away from her.

After a few minutes, I could hear her footsteps coming closer. Rolling over to look back at her she was now wearing a one-piece white dress and she was holding a large pink sun hat.

"Are you ready to go Casma? Mom has given Art and I permission to take you into the city today. It'll be your first time seeing it." I sighed mentally. I really didn't feel like going out into the city but it's not like I really had a choice. She picked me up and made the way to the front gate of the castle. We met Arthur at the entrance to the castle but we were stopped as Mom yelled out to us.

"Are the three of you leaving already?" She asked as she walked to us.

"Yes, mom. We're ready to leave now." Tess said to her. Mom walked over took me out of her arms and held me up so we were at eye level. She smiled and kissed me on the cheek and handed me back to Tess.

"Please make sure to be extra careful since you are taking him today. Arthur, that means no dueling with that Feyrith again. I swear, every time you two head out into town you always come back with some story about what happened in the newest duel." She was chuckling to herself and shaking her head.

"It's not like I seek him out. Somehow he just knows where we will be and is just there." Arthur tries to defend himself.

"Well if you run into him please try and get along. You have a baby who can't protect himself." She smirked, "Treat him as if he was your own child. Use this as practice for when you two eventually have kids of your own."

I looked up to see a bright red Tess and Arthur who were looking away, "MOM!" Tessia shouted. I laughed at this which caught the attention of everyone.

Mom looked at me and sighed, "You know sometimes I feel like you can actually understand what's going on." Luckily before anyone could dive further into that thought Grampa was seen walking towards us.

"Already heading out on a date with a child, kids grow up so fast these days." He said also teasing Arthur and Tess. Mom couldn't help but also start laughing again.

"Not you too Grandpa." Tess exclaimed as all she could do was sigh, "I'm done with this we are leaving." Not waiting for another word Tess took me and walked out of the castle.

Virion POV:

"How long do you think it will take before they officially get together?" I asked my daughter-in-law. We both have been working to get the two together. Even though he was human he's also the first one who's gotten her to show her smile again. For that, no one in this castle can thank him enough. The way they both look at each other and the way she treats him, even for their young age, it's a look that one can only get when they have truly fallen in love.

"I think as long as Arthur isn't as dense as a certain someone we know, it shouldn't take much. I believe little Casma is helping in that field as well. It should give them at least thoughts about the future, and if we're lucky, it's a future they both are thinking about having with each other." It seems she's thinking about this just as much as I am. Hopefully more since it's her daughter she's talking about.

"All we can do now is keep nudging them until they either realize or they give in. We both know that even if we force it upon them they would end up happy, but letting them figure it out and end up together naturally has its own perks." I said with a smirk as I stroked my beard.

"Oh, like being able to tease them about it? We already do that enough."

"That being one, but I believe Arthur would be a good king in the future but since Casma was born he'll end up being the next king. If nothing else, if Arthur becomes a member of the family then Casma will have someone reliable to lean on. Worst-case scenario, Casma refuses to be king and we can talk to Tess and Arthur about becoming the king and queen."

"That's if we can get them together." She added.

"Yes, but I have an inkling that Casma as he grows up will be a huge help, especially once he learns how to talk. Kids have a way of saying things without really thinking. If we feed him the right thoughts he could help without even knowing." We both couldn't help but laugh.

"Well, all we can do now is wait."

"Yes, hopefully not too long."
