An Event Of Coincidence

She turned and faced Kain face to face but he bent his head to avoid eye contact with her. She exhaled sharply and walked straight to where he was sitting.

"Kain" she called softly.

"Yes?" he asked and looked up at her with a show of surprise on his face. He was expecting her to start with a super tone of pure rage or annoyance.

"What the hell was that back there?" she yelled immediately and the look of surprised vanished from his face. "You almost killed an innocent man back there." She added but he didn't move or make any attempt to reply or counter her.

"So, you have nothing to say? You are ignoring me?' she said in a growl and he stood up and looked down at her face. 

"I am sorry, but you of all persons know why I attacked him." Kain said.

"Yes, because he insulted your pride and honor, something you would obviously kill for." She said and rolled her eyes.
