A Day Beginning With Lies

Esmeralda woke up feeling a bit dazed. She sat up on her bed as squinted as the sunlight from her window poured down on her eyes. She sighed and got up from the bed and then she shut her curtains and walked out of the bedroom barefooted. She walked out into the living room and looked around. She walked out and headed into the kitchen. She walked up to the fridge and poured out a glass of water for herself which she drained halfway and then poured down the rest on her face. She shook off the water and walked back to the living room. She collapsed on a couch and looked at the television which had obviously been playing since last night. She looked at the plate on the table and she leaned back recalling everything that had happened yesterday and the fact that she was exhausted.
