Edward quickly interrupted Shirley.

Turning around to look at Shirley, he saw persistence in her clear eyes.

Edward shook his head. "Miss Wilson, you don't have to worry too much. What you need to handle Dewitt is only patience. Whoever outlasts the other wins."

It was still an ambiguous response.

After that, Edward left the room with a rosewood cane in one hand.

Shirley stared at his old but imposing figure, stunned for a long while.
